SS OU Fun team in testing

Hello So I’ve created a team. That I consider to be very fun and interesting to use. So the concept is to capitalize on the abilities Competitive and defiant. It uses sticky web and stealth rocks as bait to activate one of the ability’s above.I like it because defog is so common It will initiate a boost. And if there is no removal of hazards it makes it easier to beat my opponent especially if sticky web is up. Rapid spin can be worked around most of the time. But let me introduce the team.

Galvantula @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Compound Eyes
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunder
- Giga Drain
- Toxic
- Sticky Web
The sacrificial lead majority of the time.
While yes I know this seems like a odd ev spread. What it does is allow it to take at least one super effective earthquake. (Landorus-T in particular that runs rampant). activating its sitrus berry in the process. Usually it’s able to reliably set up sticky webs/ toxic. I went giga drain instead of bug buzz because of the occasional swampert leads in the tier. And thunder OHKOS urshifu most of the time which is nice.

Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse
- Brine
One of my All stars for this team. Because marvel scale is used more often I think. Most people don’t pay any mind while using defog especially corviknight. But a plus 2 hydro pump 2 hit kos even a spd+ corviknight. Ice beam and dragon pulse for coverage. And now brine Is for weakened mons which without the removal of stealth rock can be easy KOs. I’ll admit I wasn’t to sure on a good item I went for leftover just to gain some recovery thanks to already great bulk.

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Will-O-Wisp
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Wil-o-wisp can keeps some physical attackers in check. Stealth rock and air ballon as a back up lead in case Galvantula has a bad match up. Magma storm for chip damage and earth power for opposing Heatran that like to
Switch in.

Obstagoon @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Obstruct
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
- Facade
My physical counter part to milotic. Again this is one of them cases most since most people expect a guts variant of this. It can be easy to get a boost. And once it’s ability is activated it can go on a rampage. Knock off hits hard after a boost. And close combat is just a nice addition. I have facade which if anybody trys to status me because a plus 2 life orb boosted statused facade is always fun. If obstruct activates a defense drop while boosted it’ll almost guarantee a ko on most mons. Not to mention the added ghost immunity and psychic immunity which is nice. Only thing I’ve realized is my whole plan won’t work for him if there is an opposing prankster defog but can it holdits own.

Rapidash-Galar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Pastel Veil
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Wild Charge
- Drill Run
- Smart Strike
So the move set here I’m not 100% but the idea is simple which in move first try to get a kill. Being one of the few fairy type able to Make use of play rough is nice. And drill run i felt was good coverage. Wild charge can be useful but it’s recoil sometimes isn’t worth it. And smart strike was to ensure accuracy against other fairy mostly

Hippowdon @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Slack Off
Another hazard setter just in case
A pretty standard bulk set. Toxic for things earthquake can’t touch and slack off for recovery.

And that’s my team I think it has potential. Thank you in advance for the read.

Cool concept mate, try Bisharp and Zapdos-G as they are more viable defiant users.
Also you don't really need two rock setters, try using toxic and taunt on Heatran over wisp and rocks, as Heatran is more a special wall. With taunt you can trap and kill many defensive Pokémon, like toxapex.

If you want Galvantula to always take one hit, why not run a fully offensive spreaf with a Focus Sash? That way you can utilise its ok power and good speed (it's still frail with investment.)

Also, Heatran and Hippowdon are bad for this team, because teams with Sticky Webs teams need to be as offensive as possible in order to pressure the opposing team so that they can't use Defog. Here's some examples of what you could try:

:ss/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Garchomp is a good offensive Stealth Rock setter as it hits hard and can actually pressure the tier's Defoggers like Tornadus-T and Zapdos with Stone Edge.

:ss/volcarona:
Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic

While it may seem strange to run a Speed-boosting Pokemon with Sticky Webs, Volcarona can set up a lot more easily when faster Pokemon on the opposing team like Weavile and Kartana are slowed down, and it's a good check to Rillaboom and Kartana, which look problematic both for your current team and my proposed one.
