:deoxys-attack: :bastiodon: If this had a (non-Teleport) pivoting move I would confidently call it an easy S-tier, but it doesn't. So instead I think it will function as a disgustingly efficient suicide lead or as an AoA. Notably has a mediocre matchup into Torranadus but pretty much smokes the rest of the tier if it clicks the right move. Shit bulk.

Nasty Plot surprise set. Once again, not super sure on the moves, but I think these 3 are pretty tough to switch into. Slotting in Grass coverage does sound very appealing for all of our SpD grounds and Eel, though.

:clefairy: :heracross: Ah hell yeah a splashable bulky Fairy with actual recovery (sorry hatt). The ability gives it a lot of effective bulk but also leaves it constantly chipped, a pretty fair tradeoff overall. Additionally, it has a guts boost, so it's the opposite of passive. AND IT HAS SPIKES! Sucks vs Hatt tho... Mega also exists.

Double (Triple???????) priority! This is a very cheeky way to revenge kill a wide swath of the offensive metagame, but lacks power otherwise. Suited for slightly slower teams, probably.

Those are my quick thoughts. Looks like a very fun slate all around, but I think we gotta dial it back on the fairies in the future. We have a lot of them.

Role Justification: While its ability is detrimental, the stats and mechanics of it ironically give it solid offensive versatility. Need a slow attacker that's hard to switch into? Specs, Nasty Plot and TR sets with that meaty 125 SpA and solid STABs (Nature Power (Tri-Attack) for Normal) are here. Need a mon that can switch into Knock Off while not compromising its usability? Physical sets are what you want. You can also maximize its potential with Tapu Lop or Swalurchin (So it consumes its Electric Seed on switch-in), or go for Weakness Policy to most likely KO a mon afterwards if you manage to lure a SE move, which is plausible with such large bulk so long it isn't a Fighting type move.
However, its typing isn't that good defensively, and it's easy to wear down long term out of no reliable way of restoring its own health.

It even has a good match-up against a good portion of the setters (Duramaw, Grapplor, Masquerajah, Hatterune, Avarupt, Deodon-Attack, Cleracross), and carries pivoting in U-Turn to appreciate the switches it can force at times. Just watch out from the types it's weak to (Water, Dark and Ghost).

However, this can't carry all the coverage it'd want, and so can struggle against Fairy types or other Water types.

Role Justification: Psyshock has been relegated forever as a niche pick at best just for hitting the lower defensive side of certain opponents, but with it now acting like Fire Lash it now becomes a solid tool to pressure opponents, you can either use it as a pivot that hits hard and can snowball with Choice Specs, or as a setup mon with Nasty Plot. Do note that this can struggle against Dark types, and so it appreciates support against them, and it can keep the momentum just for that with some prediction thanks to U-Turn.

Role Justification: Man, some of my first ideas were actually really good, but not for the reasons I made them. Take Luxpeko, for example. Get this: unpillageable Guts. Hatterune would still be a great defensive check anyway thanks to walling its STABs combined with Draining Kiss, but Ice Fang does 45% to even max Defense, so it can't comfortably switch in, and gets 2HKOed after any sort of chip. Generally nice offensive movepool combined with absolutely insane power thanks to Guts makes it easily cleave through the vast majority of the tier, and it gets multiple pivoting options in Volt Switch and Parting Shot, though its bulk is rather lacking, and its best STAB for both types is entirely unreliable due to Hunger Switch. Overall, seems pretty nice in the current meta.

Role Justification: There've been Pressure-based abilities in the past that removed PP from the user, so I thought I'd take that concept and apply it to a mon that actually uses it in an interesting way. Paltik has a decision to make: run its now 90% accurate Thunder, Blizzard, and 100% Draco Meteor, or run their weaker alternatives and not have only 4 uses of each. Thunder and Blizzard are usually better, but Spacial Rend actually has a niche over Draco thanks to its higher PP and spammability. Also is the biggest Hatterune bait ever, and can just nuke it with Ice Beam if the opponent isn't expecting it. Can work as both a HO Enabler and Abuser simultaneously thanks to webs combined with an Electric typing allowing it to beat most airborne opponents, in addition to its slightly-below-average speed that can be patched up with webs. Very versatile mon, with an interesting niche in the current meta.

Additionally, Heat-Warped allows it to hit the Fire types that would otherwise scare it out super-effectively if they try to switch in, making mons like Torranadus and Toxicargo much shakier checks than they otherwise would be. CM Roost is probably the go-to for offensive sets, though U-Turn is also an option, while defensive stall sets with Stealth Rock or even Defog are also usable. Defog utility sets can also choose to run Psychic as the only attacking move, since out of the main hazard setters, it only misses out on hitting Deodon.

Every other turn, your Double-Edge/Gunk Shot becomes a 156 BP STAB move, with the only negative being that you can't hit Ghost types at all, and are walled by Steels every other turn. Interesting mon, might need more stats, not sure.

Role Justification: With a brisk 113 speed stat and an ability that lets it get a leg up on the few things that outpace it, Liebolt's primary role will be stopping would-be sweepers in their tracks. I considered giving its biting moves a power boost in addition to increased priority, but I decided against it, since a base 80 STAB move with +1 priority is already pretty enviable. It's primarily meant to be a physical attacker, but its special attack stat is decent enough for it to run a mixed set (it doesn't mind sacrificing defense since it's frail anyway). Furthermore, its moveset also includes tools like Trick and Encore to ensure that it's not completely useless against stall.

With that said, I don't think it would be overwhelming. Its STAB combination of Electric and Dark is actually resisted by quite a few mons in this tier, although even they have to stay wary of its coverage moves (for instance, it can run Iron Tail for Hatterune, or Play Rough for Dialgast).

It has a fine STAB combo that hits stuff that typical Electrics and Grasses hate like Torrandus, Wishirupti, Masquerajah, and Claylamar, it can set Spikes and dissuade removal since it has Competitive, spread status with Sleep Powder, TSpikes, and Nuzzle, and viably run Specs or Scarf and fire off powerful momentum grabbing Volt Switches. It has sucky bulk, literally no coverage outside of Shadow Ball for Serp and Cofazor, and it's outspeed by stuff like Talonsyl, Pherogonga, and Hawlazzle that will kill it, but overall it's a fine Spiker and would be our first fast special Electric (took us long enough).

It does come with flaws, of course, mainly that it has to choose between boosting its mediorce SpA or decent Spe with Rampage. You'll usually want to pick Speed, but it'll be stuck with just +1 SpA from Meteor Beam if you do and either way it'll struggle to break through Aromarel.

Role Justification: Ninetuff has a lot going on that come together to make it a bulky multifaceted threat. First things first, it has STAB Extreme Speed, which is a great way to threaten frailer and weakened threats a la Azekrow, Torranadus, or Talonsyl, especially off of a pretty good 100 Attack stat. A lot of things do resist Normal, however, but Fire STAB, Close Combat, and Knock Off can threaten nearly all of them. And having to take a hit from Normal resists won't be an issue thanks to its great 125/70/70 bulk and ability that bolsters its special bulk even more. Plus, it comes with all the great utility that Arcanine and Wigglytuff have with WoW, Knock, Morning Sun, Wish, Rocks, and Teleport. Lastly, Curse exists, which synergizes really well with both ESpeed and Debilitate. However, Ninetuff's Fire-typing holds it back massively, robbing it of a boosting item for offensive sets and Lefties for defensive sets, plus Togetops ruins its day as long as it doesn't switch in recklessly, not to mention fast stuff like Dialgast, Cleracross, and Eviolite Rhybite.

Role Justification: Pingar can be a great physical menace with a great 110 Attack stat, a decent 85 Speed, decent bulk, and a great offensive typing that threatens Swalurchin, Eeelektoad (because of Mold Breaker), Dusking, Cofazor, and Duramaw. Plus, it has a lot of trcisk of its sleeve with STAB U-Turn to pivot, Knock Off for utility, Stone Edge for coverage against Torranadus, Swords dance for sweeping, and tools in Defog, Roost, and Taunt, making Pingar surprisingly versatile. Though, of course, you can just slap a Choice Band on it and spam EQ, U-Turn, Edge, and CC or Knock. It's offensively checked by a lot of things, like Talonsyl and Littleesect, thanks to its meh defensive typing and only decent Speed, plus Masquerajah is super annoying for it outside of a Banded CC.

Its typing and ability give it amazing longevity with Hazards up and it has usable bulk to switch into a resitant hit in a pinch. Niche options are Dragon Dance sets which have nice coverage in EQ + Dragon Claw, but are really weak considering its 85 Atk. Still worth mentioning.

Lucaserker is the reincarnation of a Viking; associated with metal and a strong powerhouse. This fusion is very straightforward; smash your enemies with hard-hitting physical attacks. While defenses and mild speed isn't anything to be proud of, it makes up for that in raw power. Decent coverage to boot is always a plus! Its steel typing allows it to not use it for defensive means, but for hyper offensive teams. This mon....was obviously meant to destroy fairy types, and does so easily as its best trait, but it also handles rock- and ice types just as easily! While it checks a good amount of the Meta (and honestly any mon that doesn't resist it), it has some cons to balance it out. Pokemon like Avarupt, Eelektoad, Torrnadus, and Sharpiskorch completely counter it. To note, its other weakness is that it struggles against special attackers as its "mild" sp. def is not good for longevity.

This fusion is what I liked to call a "Punisher Class." At first glance, you see that physical moves are the way to go with Hyper Offensive contact moves. Almost all moves will be increased in power! When you land a contact move you get poisoned, yikes. While immediately you think Facade is doubled in power, that's the only benefit, Poison is easily one of the worst status alignments to deal with. Roost + Leftovers could be a way to deal with it, but you're taking up valuable assets in power to make yourself stay alive or using a team slot solely for a cleric. Enemy Protect, WATER TYPES / MOVES, and bad plays will result in death. That's why special sets can be used to avoid dealing with poison for a safer, and still strong, playstyle. Both are equally strong imo and make for a unique mixed wallbreaker.

This mon has a very unique role; it's a physical offensive mons worst nightmare. It checks physical mons, and if it doesn't with its ability, it will shake it up badly. While there is Cofazor and Hatterune, this mon, as stated, takes a completely different way of utilizing Cofagrigus. Cofazor uses it for defense, and while Hatterune uses it for support, Archagrigus uses support differently. Defeatist; it wants to pass it onto the strongest physical attacker on the enemy team and cripple them. It forces them to swap to a special attacker, stall mon, or destroy Archagrigus right there and then so it doesn't try its antics as a last resort. While this ability can be broken, it's held back by a couple of things, it's part Archeops after all. Special attackers, just, completely destroy it as it was not designed to deal with them (insert any special attacker and Hatterune if you run physical). Lastly, it does have taunt to force physical mons to attack and roost to keep longevity, but it has an awkward speed tier, and 6 weaknesses of common types.

Role Justification: THE strong mono bug. Concept was simply Coil + Hustle + Draining Move and I think as weird as this mon is, it kinda delivers. Its got pretty respectable bulk and thanks to Flash Fire, it's not abysmal defensively (Weaknesses to two of the best offensive type, one of which locks it to HDB, still sucks though; but the Fire immunity is nice and it resists two great physicaly oriented types). Does have the disadvantage of slow momentum since it really needs to set up Coil before doing anything, but once that happens, it goes wild. Sp Def is still rather low though, and it has below average speed, meaning fusions like Oricolyph, Talonsyl or Gourninja can just slap it hard.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll keep this sub yet. Maybe it was just a collective hallucination and it's never existed in the first place.

Role Justification: Thanks to it's ability, it essentially has Para chance on all of it's moves, not just electric type attacks, so you could use Ice Beam and get Para instead of Freeze if it failed to freeze, provided you go last. Which running Iron ball would actully be benefitual in this case if going up agianst a usually slower mon or a similar speed pokemon once Para hits, although it would mostly be used as a bulkier Porygon-Z with access to Freeze-dry, Hyper Voice, with STAB for it's Ice type moves.
