Future Prospects

Ok, this thread is basically because I am unsure of what I should to in regards to my future schooling and would like some opinions/help.

I am currently in year 11 have recently been approached by some members of staff who believe it would be beneficial for me to enrol and study a university course next year, on top of regular school. I would say I am reasonably intelligent but my main downfall is that I am quite lazy. Knowing that this is a great opportunity, I’m sure I could manage if I actually tried. Just so you know at school I study English, Study of Religion (compulsory), Maths B, Chemistry, Chinese and Maths C.

There are three universities in my area (Brisbane, Australia) that offer programs for high school students to complete tertiary subjects. Here are the links to each program.

Currently I would prefer to attend UQ, as for all I have heard it is the best choice and highest ranked of the three. It would be beneficial as it would help in gaining a scholarship to help pay for my degree. I am unsure of what I wish to do in the future, but my Mum is pushing for me to try for medicine.

Anyway, has anyone done something similar? What were your experiences and was it worth it? Please share any opinions you have and thanks for reading this.
