I'll just say it is about damn time the G20 supplant the very dated G8.

Well you sometimes do even if it isnt long but still protestings stupid exspecially when your not going to change anything

I feel terrible about them, I had a friend that goes to that college and he said he was there at some of the protests because he thought the police brutality and overreaction to thursdays original protesters was dumb.

He hasn't done anything and he's been shot at by rubber bullets and gassed, some of his friends were arrested for trying to just walk away. They've burst into student rooms and told them to get on the ground.

One story was that they were told to go back to their rooms but they gassed the entrance so they couldn't get in, and people got beat up and arrested for not going into their rooms.

Yeah from his accounts from actually being there it sounds terrible, and this kid is the last person I'd expect to protest from so it's scary to hear it from him now.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg it really sounds scary down there right now from what I've been hearing.

seriously watch that second video at 1:56 and until the part where the students observing the protesters below got trapped in a staircase and got gassed and couldn't escape, that's exactly how he described it down there and that happened many times.

edit: and what I mean by my friend protesting, it was just a group that wasn't taking ANY violent means, just shouting how the overwhelming actions were against the original protesters were on thursday.

That guy who threw the gas canister back at the police is my hero.

I don't know what they were protesting, but the police's behavior was absolutely out of line.

G20 protests this year - police killed a man, kettled (with one probable miscarriage), and beat up several others. With no cause other than shouting.

It's fucking sick.

Yeah that part where the students not the protesters were in the staircase and they were being gassed was sad and they wouldnt let them escape even when they werent even doing anything

And that's all ignoring the fact that the actual rioting was caused by police-placed instigators. Of course, it'll never be proven...
