Galarian Slowbro can Mega Evolve in National Dex formats. This should not be the case, as Galarian Slowbro unable to Mega Evolve in Pokemon Go, giving us official software to make this change.

Invalid Galarian Slowbro should not be able to Mega Evolve

Showdown doesn't simulate Pokemon Go, it simulates cartridge. If you hack in a Mega Mewtwo Y holding a Mewtwonite X on cartridge, it'll be able to mega evolve into Mega Mewtwo X, because it's the same species as base Mewtwo. Galarian Slowbro is the same species as base Slowbro, so it's able to mega evolve into Mega Slowbro.
