Overview
########
  • Got Sticky Web buff (or is it a new move??), anyways lowers speed on grounded opponents mons which is an amazing move and gives it a huge niche and can outpace other mons it couldn't outpace like Starmie and Zam
    • its competitors for this niche is ariados, masqearuin, leavanny (they all suck) and smeargle but its a sitting duck and pretty much suicidal but galvantula can set it up then volt switch
  • still has volt switch, good move for scouting
  • Compound-Eyes + Thunder is great and no longer has to compete with other thunder spammers since they lost most of their spamming thx to limited weather this gen
  • Bug Buzz now hits through sub and it is a still a strong move to use
  • blazing fast 108 Spe and resistance to Mach Punch and Bullet Punch +++
  • hits decently with Life Orb
  • problem is SR weakness
  • frail
  • 97 SpA is avg and Thunder is only Base 110 now (175 w/ STAB though)
  • however, galvantula has risen extremely with this new "entry hazard" and still has enough power to clean in OU
Offensive Support
########
name: Offensive Support
move 1: Sticky Web
move 2: Volt Switch
move 3: Bug Buzz
move 4: Thunder
item: Life Orb
ability: Compound Eyes
nature: Timid
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Moves
========
  • Sticky Web is epic, give niche, must use Sticky Web
  • Volt Switch for keeping momentum
  • Bug Buzz hits thru sub now, can kill things like annoying SubPunch Loom and deadly SubDD Mega-Dos + can also defeat other sub users
  • Thunder abuses CE, powerful STAB that can clean weakened teams easily with the sticky web support you provide
Set Details
========
  • LO is best item, otherwise it wont hit hard enough
  • Timid Nature is preffered but Modest can be used especially since Sticky Web will lower Speed but it is a problem against non-grounded mons like +Spe Mence, air balloon wutev, so use Timid
  • evs max out best stats and 4 def to help take priority better
  • you can try out Magnet as an item, but LO is too good to pass up
  • Electro Ball over Thunder, but CE + Thunder is rly good, EB will rarely go over 110 though even with sticky web since meta is rly fast now
Usage Tips
========
  • Sticky Web then use Volt Switch to scout and deal damage,
  • Bug Buzz + Thunder is like late-game cleaning moves or when something like Celebi is annoying you
  • not many usage tips, its a predictable set
Team Options
========
  • stuff like specs Clawitzer or band terrakion make big use, powerful monsters that have mediocre speed or need speed to sweep
  • bulky walls can now outpace some things which is great
  • hydreigon/aegilash core is amazing w/ this
  • trevenant, gourgeist, jelly, gengar, and aegilash are needed to spinblock so use one of em
  • volt-turn core makes it good
  • mega-chomp in sand will sweep teams like no other with sticky web support same with mega-ampharos,mega-cham, and mega-zard x (or y)
Other Options
========
  • no room for anything else since it needs all those slots
  • you could try HP [Ice] over Thunder if you dont need thunder, but use Swarm as ability, but srsly, galvy needs all those slots
  • you could specs for more power, but being locked into sticky web isnt the best thing
Checks & Counters
========
  • with sticky web, you can't rly check it but nongrounded faster mons like talonflame and lati@s, thundurus and tornadus (though rare now), and non-grounded scarfers can do the trick
  • volt switching playstyle makes it difficult to kill since youll find it switching freq. then coming in later when everything is weakened to sweep
  • you can try out priority moves like shadow sneak to kill before it switches
  • it's not very strong so anything that can tank a thunder and retaliate back will most likely OHKO cuz its frail
  • remember it has good resists
  • SR will make its volt switching crap switching

ah damn, i thought i checked the xy preview clean, wutev, sry about this, mod can move this to trash
