ORAS OU Gambino Is The Mastermind

Hey guys, I built this team the other day that turned out to be really nice on the suspect ladder so far for me. I wanted to know if there was anyway to make it better, so I came here. Thanks for any rate!

I started out with these 2, from the good cores section based off of the double dd core.

I replaced gatr with rotom-w, so i could have a more balanced core, has good synergy with zard.

I added gliscor to pair with rotom and give me a ground type and give me a specially bulky mon

I dropped gliscor for latios bc lati just hit harder on the special side and gave me defog

bisharp gave me a knock off user, as well as a fairy punisher along with great breaking ability with SD

Gambino (Charizard-Mega-X) (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
The star of the team, charizard x. This thing tears teams apart in OU right now, utilizing dd and putting dents in any switch ins. DD allows this to be a reliable win con, abusing his great dual stab coverage in this meta. It does lose to heatran, but i have ways to play around it with other mons. Roost allows for more logevity and lets me stall out rotoms that cant touch you when you mega. This thing overall is the main form of winning, so its a huge part of this team.

Made In China (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
Rotom allows for great coverage to go with zard, and just stalls out mons pretty well. Wisp and pain split give it great utility, weakening many threats to zard, such as tran. volt switch and hydro miss pump are great for momentum and damage. Levitate allows it to check drill in sand, which is be a massive problem to this team. Leftovers maximize recovery, which is useful since pain split isnt reliable recovery.

Eon (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Ground]
So, this thing is a beast. It drops dracos on things, essentially weakening almost everything it touches for zard, as well as psyshock helping out. Defog is the main reason why it came to the team, for it supports zard well and preserves mamo's sash if i save it. I ran HP Ground bc im weak to alot of steels, namely bisharp and heatran, but i didnt want to run HP fighting bc i lost a speed ev. I lose the speed ties too much, and it heats tran a little harder for zard. roost was on it, but i felt i used this to defog and go or hit hard and then proceed to sweep, so it wasnt nessacary.
tumblr_m7xidmcqZe1qd87hlo1_500.gif

Axl (Bisharp) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
So, this monster is great support for wearing down threats for zard, as well as being a backup win con. SD allows the wall breaking potential to skyrocket, and sucker punch provides a hard hitting stab priority. Knock off is the best move in this meta (except for all RNG king scald) and iron head punishes fairy well. garchomp is a problem to this, but other mons can easily deal with it, as well as this can knock off a helmet to reduce recoil damage for a zard sweep late game.
tumblr_m6mugz07lt1qd87hlo1_500.gif

Luna (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Fire Blast
- Thunder Wave
Clefable is a fat wall that goes along with my team well, handling fighting and dragon types that seriously annoy this team. Also, it lures out a lot of steels with fire blast, crippling them for later sweeping by zard. Also, moonblast is pretty spammable, as well as twave. Soft boiled increases longevity, making this more of a nuisance to deal with. Magic Guard allows this to absorb status and be a good scald switch in.
tumblr_m7h5x6mowV1qckwxco1_500.gif

Mamaswine (Mamoswine) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Freeze-Dry
So mamo is my ground type, and also my rock setter. It usually acts as a suicide lead, however if it can be saved it is a great asset to my team, checking cm raikou and other electrics based on spreads. EQ hits exceptionally hard, and ice shard provides priority. However, mons like manaphy and rotom w were coming in on this and doing their thing, so i decided freeze-dry over knock off was a more useful move. this can also clean at the end of the game, clicking ice shard for extrodinary damage. A common switch to this is ferro, which is kinda of a pain for the team, but this can usually widdle it down to the level where it isnt needed for zard to click flare blitz and waste its health.

Fren Threat List:

STEEL TYPES: These things are annoying af for this team, and my only reliable way to kill is Char X flare blitz, which reduces longevity.

Keldeo- This thing literally has 0 switch ins on my team reliably. I can revenge it pretty well, but the damage it provides really does suck.

SAND- Hippo/Tar + Drill literally 6-0s me with a little damage to rotom. It can be played around very carefully, but its annoying af to deal with.

Replays will come hopfully with me working for reqs within this week.
Any rates are appreciated, Thanks in advanced :]

Alright

So first off Suicide Mamo is a bad set. Suicide leads aren't good as they were anymore and favor more bulkier setters. The LO + SR Set is leagues better, but it really doesn't fit your team as well as you think it would.

You should replace Mamoswine with Defensive Lando-T. Defensive Lando gives you a really good way to beat sand and gives you a more consistent setter throughout the course of the match. It also checks things like Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Lopunny, who can ravage your team. Rotom-W and Defensive Lando-T perform really similar roles on a team, and just clashes with it. So to address your underlying weakness to Mega Altaria and speedier threats in general, Klefki > Rotom-W would be a better option. It forms a solid hazard stack core with Landorus-T, and gives you a reliable switchin to threats such as Gengar. It also gives you a way of Speed Control for the team against already setup threats. Flash Cannon is ran because your team kinda just loses to Mega Diancie, so you can easily dispatch it. Finally Clefable has no real place on your team and it's really awkward considering how offensive your team is. So in place of Clefable, TG+3 Attacks Manaphy would be a superior choice. You have no real way of dealing with Stall + Bulky-Grounds such as Hippowdon and Manaphy remedies this. You should also run a specific set of HP Fire + Scald + Energy Ball to effectively deal with most Steel-types of the tier such as Ferrothorn and Heatran. Without Energy Ball your team would then struggle with bulky Waters such as Suicune and Rotom-W who can really threaten your team. Other then what changes I suggested this is a pretty good team. Also change HP Ground to Roost on Latios to better check Keldeo
Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet

Thanks for the rate :] ill definitely have to try this on the ladder to see how it works, but yeah the changes make sense. Thanks again

This team is extremely weak to Belly Drum Azu the only thing I've been able to do against them with clef is stall them out and that barely works.
With Klefki all I'm able to do is t wave and then flash cannon, but if they have aqua jet its gonna be a bad time.
I suggest replacing Klefki with Ferrothorn this set

yo. For ur threat list you have steel types there and u said ur way to deal with it is too flare blitz. But a steel type that would not mind the flare blitz like heatran can give this team a little bit of issue. Your switch in into heatran is rotom-w which can get toxiced by defesnive sets or solar beamed by offensive ones. This is why i think running focous blast over fire blast is a better optition on clefable. Focous Blast hits heatran and still other steel types like ferro. However you do lose out on hitting a mon like scizor for super effective dmg but u have flare blitz on charizard and wil-o-wisp on rotom to deal with steel types that dont mind focous blast.

Since we are speaking of clefable, i think that max spd is not needed on clefable. Instead you can probs run a 252 hp/172 def/84 def ev clef instead of max spd max hp clef as this will help u not get 2 hit koed by mega lopunny which can 2ko everything on this team otherwise and mega gyrarados waterfall. (this also lets other latios to not 2ko u but that shouldnt matter since u have bisharp) Now you might also wanna run calm mind over twave on your clefable to have another way of winning a game since twave isnt needed as you can u can already deal with the things u wanna cripple like scizor/heatran/talonflame.

I agree with KidMagic with running klefki over rotom-w. This team is really weak to fast hard hitting spa attackers like serperior and alakazam-mega and being able to twave them so u can hit them b4 they can hit you is very nice. you do lose a check to excadrill and scizor but those can be dealt with other teammates on ur team.

He also mentioned landorous -therian but i feel like landorous-therian just makes the team more weak to bisharp as it can get an intimitdate boost. Now landorus-therian was recommened to deal with charizard x/talonflame/lopunny-mega. But i feel like changing ur mamo to landorus-therian makes ur team a bit more weak to fast eletric types that can 2ko ur landorus-therian with hp ice like manetric-mega and raikou. These 2 mons can volt switch around ur team which wont be fun espeically if hazards are up. This is why i think instead of landorous replacing mamo u should replace mamoswime with hippowdon. Hippowdown still gets up rocks while at the same time acts as a consistent switch in for eletric types as it can slack off unlike landorus-therian. It still deal with charizard x and lopunny-mega and talonflame. You also have a better time dealing with other bisharp as u can take any hit and oko back with earthquake.

Another suggestion i have is running latias over latios. Latias does what latios does checking keldeo/dropping dracos/still defogging but latias allows you to play more rektless with ur other sweepers like bisharp/charizard x as you can healing wish them back up and play with them again! But if you do find keldeo a problem i would run roost over healing wish on latias as latias is more bulky then latios allowing u to take more hits.

Thanks for the rate :] klefki has worked well in practice and i think hippo would be better than lando in the case after testing. Ill be sure to try Focus Miss on clef, sounds interesting, as for latias, i definitely think that could work out well. Thanks again!
