Yes, I know there might be a Garchomp discussion out there, but I can't find one among the pages I looked for right now, so I decided to make a new one for this beast who is a huge threat to this metagame.

Advantages :
I don't know where to begin with this new shark-like dragon. You can understand that he is a huge threat by just looking at his stats. He has HP which is higher than even Celebi, Jirachi, etc. and his Attack competes with Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross, Dragonite, Heracross etc. His defence is great too, better than Salamence and the like. His Sp. Atk may be mediocre, but who gives a damn? Like you're going to use a special move on Garchomp. His Sp. Def is pretty good too, good enough to last a few attacks. His Speed and Attack, coupled with Jolly + Swords Dance and Substitute turn him into a god. He can be teamed up well in teams with Tyranitar to activate Sandstream, an effect which activates sandstorm, increases Tyranitar's Sp. Def by 50% and gives Garchomp evasive bonuses! Coupled with Substitute, these two synergy the fuck out of each other. His movepool rocks too, he has enough moves to counter everything in the game, but he needs more slots to do it. He can breed with a hell load of pokemon too.
Disadvantages :
Everything has a disadvantage, oui? He's great and all, but he has the same problem as Gengar : Enough moves to counter everything in the game, but lacks the moveslots and the EVs. I think that's all? Oh yeah, and he might need a bit more Sp. Def, but that's not much of a problem.

Movesets :
Set Un :
Garchomp @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance -
- Earthquake / Fire Fang -
- Dragon Claw / Fire Fang -
- Substitute -
Standard and very powerful. There aren't many counters to this thing and coupled with Tyranitar I wouldn't like to say what will happen. If you do use Tyranitar, his evasiveness will increase and he will be hit less, and coupled with Substitute that's free setting up Swords Dance, and coupled with Speed he'll be hitting first most of the time and OHKOing. I don't suggest Fire Fang, but if you really, really want to counter Skarmory then use it.
Set Deux :
Garchomp @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Veil
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw -
- Earthquake -
- Stone Edge -
- Fire Fang / Return / Iron Tail / Brick Break -
All I have to say is one word : Ouch. He can 2HKO or OHKO a bunch of stuff with brute force and his great movepool. Coupled with Sandstream, he'll increase evasiveness and you might just get lucky and an attack might miss him! Choice Band is pretty good on this thing, and this thing is a must on CB-only teams, but to be frank, I would prefer using the Swords Dance version.
As you can see, this thing is a god of OU, and I won't be surprised if he got banned. Discuss!
