[SET COMMENTS]

Gardevoir deviates itself from other Psychic-types in that it possesses both immense wallbreaking potential and incredible revenge killing capabilities. This set utilizes its high Special Attack stat and offensive typing to punch holes through teams. Mystical Fire threatens the Steel-types that resist Gardevoir's STAB moves like Klefki and Escavalier. Shadow Ball deals heavy damage to Galarian Slowbro and Heatproof Bronzong, both of which are solid checks to Gardevoir without it. Focus Blast nails Steel-types like Steelix and Copperajah that would otherwise be able to tank a Mystical Fire and threaten it in return. Trace allows Gardevoir to duplicate the foe's ability, which can be especially useful given the amount of Pokemon it can force out. For example, it can steal abilities like Water Absorb and Adaptability from Mantine and Dragalge due to their frequency to switch out on a potential Psyshock or Moonblast. It can also be used as a way to check Bewear by copying its Fluffy ability and then force it out.

Gardevoir should be used as a wallbreaker and only be switched into a resisted attack or a Pokemon that is Choice locked. It best fits on offensive builds that benefit from Gardevoir's ability to break past bulky offense teams. Due to its frailty, pairing Gardevoir with Flip Turn and U-turn users such as Dragalge, Milotic, and Passimian is a great idea—all three have great synergy between each other and can pressure the Steel-types that would otherwise be able to switch into Gardevoir's STAB moves. Entry hazard support from Pokemon like Bronzong, Gigalith, and Seismitoad is useful for wearing down defensive Pokemon. In particular, Spikes setters like Golisopod and Klefki have nice synergy with Gardevoir, as it can have an easier time wallbreaking Pokemon that are resistant to Stealth Rock. Setup sweepers like Salazzle and Bewear appreciate Gardevoir's wallbreaking capabilities so they can have an easier time cleaning the opposing team.

Gardevoir is a solid Choice Scarf user in the RU tier, capable of revenge killing many dangerous threats like Salazzle, Virizion, and Barraskewda. Trick and Healing Wish provide great utility when combined together, the former being able to cripple defensive answers to Gardevoir such as Mantine, Milotic, and Bronzong, while Healing Wish can help bring back wallbreakers back to full health so they can clean up. The combination of Trick and Trace can also help it completely wall Vaporeon, Mantine, and Xatu; however, Trick should only be used when the extra Speed isn't needed for Gardevoir to revenge kill its foes anymore. Gardevoir can also use Trace to copy Chlorophyll and Sand Rush, which can be detrimental for weather teams if they have been chipped down.

This set's main function is to act as a revenge killer and support its teammates with its utility options. It best serves under wallbreakers like Bewear, Golurk, Salazzle, and Exploud that excel at punching holes through bulky offense teams by supporting them via cleaning up the opposing team or bringing them back to full health with Healing Wish. The former two have great synergy with Choice Scarf Gardevoir, as they can check the Steel-types that would otherwise threaten it out like Steelix and Copperajah. Other Fire-types like Arcanine and Charizard are also helpful for pressuring Steel-types and appreciate Gardevoir using Trick against common defensive cores so they can switch in more freely. Slow Teleport, Flip Turn, and Volt Switch support from Pokemon like Porygon2, Dragalge, and Heliolisk patches up its frailty. Entry hazard setters like Golisopod, Seismitoad, Gigalith, and Steelix are great teammates, as they can help circumvent Choice Scarf Gardevoir's low damage output against bulkier threats.

As far as Psychic-types are concerned, Gardevoir deviates itself from the pack as no other Psychic-type possesses both the immense wallbreaking potential and incredible revenge killing capabilities that Gardevoir has at its disposal. This set utilizes its high Special Attack stat and offensive typing to punch holes through teams that use less sturdy Fairy checks like Steelix and Duraludon. Mystical Fire threatens the Steel-types that resist Gardevoir's STAB moves like Klefki, Copperajah, and Escavalier. Shadow Ball deals heavy damage to Heatproof Bronzong, a solid check to Gardevoir without it. However, this leaves Gardevoir wide open to other neutral targets and is generally not as consistent as its other moves. Grass Knot can be ran over Shadow Ball to improve its matchup against specially defensive Pokemon like Gigalith and Milotic. Trace allows Gardevoir to duplicate the foe's ability, which can be especially useful due to the amount of Pokemon it can force out. For example, it can steal Regenerator from Pokemon like Galarian Slowbro and Tangela due to their its frequency to switch out on a potential Shadow Ball or Mystical Fire. Tracing Dragalge's Adaptability is also another big one that should definitely be mentioned.

Gardevoir should be used as a wallbreaker and never switched into unless its a resisted attack or a Pokemon that is Choice locked. It best fits on offensive builds that benefit from Gardevoir's ability to break past against bulky offense teams. Due to its fragility, pairing Gardevoir with Flip Turn or U-turn users, such as Dragalge, Milotic, and Passimian create great synergy between each other- all three can also take advantage of the Steel-types that would be able to switch into its STAB moves if locked in. Entry hazard support from Pokemon like Bronzong, Gigalith, and Seismitoad are useful for wearing down defensive Pokemon. Setup sweepers like Salazzle and Bewear appreciate Gardevoir's wallbreaking capabilities so they have an easier time cleaning the opposing team.

Gardevoir is a solid Choice Scarf user in the tier, capable of revenge killing many dangerous threats like Salazzle, Virizion, and Barraskewda. Trick + Healing Wish provide great utility when combined together, the former being able to cripple defensive answers to it such as Mantine, Milotic, and Bronzong while Healing Wish can help bring back wallbreakers to full health so they can clean up. Trick + Trace can also help it completely wall Vaporeon, Mantine and Xatu, however, Trick should only be used once the opponent's setup sweepers have left the field. I mean, Xatu can also just U-turn or Teleport out, while you're locked into an awkward sequence with Vapo when you can't kill it without Tricking your Scarf but it also can't hit you. These examples should probably still be fine. Also if we're on the Water Absorb route you might as well add Mantine. It can also copy Chlorophyll and Sand Rush, which can be detrimental for weather teams if they have been chipped down.

This set's main function is to act as a revenge killer and support its teammates with its utility options. It best serves under wallbreakers like Bewear, Salazzle, and Exploud, that excels at punching holes through bulky offense teams and support them via cleaning up the opposing team or bringing them back to full with Healing Wish. The former two have great synergy with Choice Scarf Gardevoir, as they can check the Steel-types that would threaten it out like Steelix and Copperajah. Slow Teleport, Flip Turn or Volt Switch support from Pokemon like Porygon2, Dragalge, and Heliolisk patch up its fragility. Entry hazard support like Golisopod, Seismitoad, Gigalith, and Steelix are great teammates as they can help circumvent Choice Scarf Gardevoir's low damage output against bulkier threats.

Add that Pokemon like Golurk and Charizard can break through Steel-types and appreciate defensive cores getting disrupted by Trick. Golurk also appreciates Healing Wish support. Priority mons like Golisopod can force Gardevoir out, so mention mons like Mantine that can deal with those too.

QC 1/2 when this is implemented. :blobwizard:

  • Don't mention Duraludon as a Fairy check, this doesn't resist Fairy so it's only a Fairy check if you consider it as a revenge killer, which it still does since it's faster than Gardevoir.
  • When you mention Shadow Ball you make it sound like it's not a very good move even though it's alone in a slot in the set. Actually, the goal of coverage on Specs Garde is to weaken its Steel-type checks so it'll eventually be able to spam STABs more easily, and Shadow Ball does just that against Zong, so I don't think that sentence is needed. Also, you might wanna mention Slowbro-G as a target from SBall here.
  • I don't see why mention GK when Gigalith and Milotic aren't even great checks (not to mention it's even worse to be locked at that than any other move), I think Gardevoir can get much more from Trick or Healing Wish as other options for this set (not that much of a fan from Trick in Specs so up to you but I think HWish is still cool when you need something else that was weakened more than Garde). I also think Focus Blast is an interesting option for teams that appreciate stuff like Steelix and Copper getting nuked, as we saw in llamas x Nat (Snake), still not a big fan of it but I see the merit and would mention it before GK. Just reinforcing btw, you don't have to mention any of those moves but you might if you feel like adding smth else, as I think all of them have merit, up to you, just remove GK.
  • Mention how Trace can give it more opportunities to enter against stuff like Mantine or Vaporeon, even Bewear once, or on a Fire Lash from Centiskorch.
  • Dragalge can pressure Steel-types, even help weakening them for Garde, but saying it can take advantage from them (like Pass or Milotic) is a bit too much.
  • Mention Spikes from like Goli and Klefki, Spikes are much more effective at chipping Garde's switch-ins as most of them resist Rocks and make it much more threatening in general.
  • "however, Trick should only be used once the opponent's setup sweepers have left the field." - Rephrase this for something like "however, Trick should only be used when the extra Speed isn't needed to revenge kill its opponents anymore.", you still might need it to deal with stuff that doesn't setup and if you have another way to RK / wall them it doesn't matter.
That's all, QC 2/2 once implemented
