Garganacl (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Purifying Salt
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Salt Cure
- Recover
Garganacl's role in this team is firstly my best Specially Defensive pokemon so he comes into tank hits. Usually, he will be able to set up and begin causing havoc as after 3 iron defenses body press can and does do serious damage, when setting up he will usually get tera'd into the ghost type. Garganacl is mostly used in the mid game for me as a way to apply pressure with salt cure and potentially set up a full team sweep against teams with no garganacl counter. For me he is an essential part of the team.
Baxcalibur (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Thermal Exchange
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Glaive Rush
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
Baxcalibur is a beast. After one dragon dance he can blow holes into any team's defensive cores and with 2 dragon dances he can one hit KO nearly every pokemon in the metagame. I have him with heavy duty boots so that he never gets any chip and therefore a Dragon dance can almost always be set up. He is the secondary wallbreaker on this team and can the main sweeper if he is allowed to set up properly.
Cinderace (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn
- Gunk Shot
- Court Change
Cinderace is the pokemon I am most unsure of in the team. His main purpose is hazard control with court change and I must admit his court changing as single handily won me games. He acts as good speed control as well as he can outspeed most of the metagame and can get the occasional kills, Gunk shot is there as a fairy killer but its accuracy has caused me to lose more than one game. This is the slot i am most willing to hear any suggestions.
Dondozo (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Liquidation
- Body Press
- Protect
Dondozo is perhaps the most important member of this team due to it being so bulky and having the great ability unaware. Due to his abillty his job is to one v one any set up sweepers which he wins 90% of the time. I like the curse set the most as it is less passive in my opinion than the rest set.
The other great thing about Dondozo is that he reliably beats Kingambit who is the most broken pokemon in ou as he can almost singlehandedly clean up in every late game but if you save Dondozo until the end he will easily one v one kingambit.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Grass Knot
- Stone Edge
Landorus may not be the king of OU anymore but for me, he is a fantastic mon. He is my lead in maybe 30% of my matchups (the other 70% is Iron Valiant lead). I have a slightly more offensive moveset mainly due to the surprise factor, with stone edge you can get max defense moltres down to 10% Hp and the moltres in now crippled. Grass knot is key vs Great Tusk as I found him slightly difficult with only the Iron Valiant counter but when Tera'd to water type, to avoid ice spinning great tusks, he can reliably deal with great tusk. Landorus is also just a fantastic pivot and with rocky helmet can get excellent chip damage, his intimidates really help, so for me Lando is an indispensable member of the team.
Iron Valiant @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
Iron Valiant is the sole special attacker on the team and he is crucial to the teams synergy. With choice specs he can blasts holes through the metagame and is my most important wall breaker, I use him as my lead due to the samurott hisui lead which he easily deals with and as a lead he forces many switches and can either do at least 50% to whatever is coming in or I can get an easy switch to other members of the team. I try to keep Iron Valiant alive for as long as possible as his raw power is appreciated in every facet of the game as he outspeeds most of the metagame and can pick up so many easy kills, again this is another indispensable member of the team.
So that is the team, I would love to hear any and all feedback on potentially how to improve and I hope that anyone who takes the time to read my post has a great day :)
