Alright fellas,as you could tell by the title and obnoxiously large photographs of tyranitar and mega garchomp, you can tell this is a sand offense team! With no exca, thats really fuckin strange.
TEAMBUILDING
So this team was built around "GarTar"(a sand offense core that I thought up),and since those 2 were the stars of the show,I needed some support for them(non-weather reliant attackers). So I chose band scizor and LO latios because those 2 are very stronk. After that,I decided I needed a mixed wallbreaker,so I chose aegislash(I could have gone for KyuB,but I use that way too much)and finally,I needed something that would make sweepers and things manageable,so I chose thundurus. Now for individual analyses.
Tyranitard (Tyranitar) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 60 SAtk / 104 Atk / 92 SDef / 252 HP
Brave Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
Here is the main support mon,it takes out talonflame while having dtail and fire blast to phaze and roast steels before garchomp comes in and rapes.EVs are random because I like random EVs on mixed support mons.Stone edge is obvious STAB,and pursuit is so I can trap things.Brave nature because mixtar is bulky and thats also the reason I use AV.It obviously sets up sand for the star of the show, and that is...
(I dont use smooth rock because not bulky enough)
Garchamp (Garchomp) @ Garchompite
Ability: Sand Veil->Sand Force
EVs: 252 Spd / 204 Atk / 52 SAtk
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Draco Meteor
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast
Garchamp! The star of the show, the supreme wallbreaker, the skarmblisstran murderer!Naive nature is so I can outspeed base 90 threats, and I split EVs between attacking stats because mixchomp.I use sand veil for the opportunity of a safe switch, with weather abilities being unbanned and all.Earthquake hits like a semi-truck off of STAB,Sand Force, and base 170 atk.Stone edge is the same, but without STAB.Fire blast is to roast steels like skarm and ferro and forry, and draco meteor is mandatory dragon STAB.
PAIN PLANE (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Defog
THE PLANE BRINGS THE PAIN LIKE A TRAIN.Here is the dedicated special attacker of the group, latios.Draco Meteor and Psyshock are obvious STABs,and surf is to hit things on the switch.Defog is so I can clear hazards WHILE applying pressure, something Latias cant do.EVs and nature are obvious choices on latios, and life orb is for some staying power.
Genesect Beta (Scizor) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Here is the dedicated physical attacker of the group,Scizor.EVs and nature are obvious on banded scizor, and coverage of pursuit and superpower is really nice.U-Turn is so I can maintain momentum, and it gets STAB so it hits like a truck.Bullet punch is priority because gen 6 and priority(it used it in gen 4 and 5 ik)and it kills fairies.
Blunt Object (Aegislash) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
Here is the secondary mixed attacker of the group, aegislash.Shadow ball is the kaboom move, and shadow sneak is priority because gen 6.Sacred sword is for the perfect neutral coverage, and kings shield is so I can revert to shield form.EVs are so I hit like a truck on both sides of the spectrum, and air balloon because exca is dangerous.IDK what else to say about aegislash.
Genie! (Thundurus) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Here is my main support poke,Thundurus.Thunder wave is a staple because prankster, and thunderbolt and HP ice are also.I chose volt switch over taunt because I can switch out easier, and it maintains momentum.I try to be careful to kill things with thunderbolt because after I kill something with volt switch I actually lose momentum because switch initiative.
Anyways, here's my team.Feel free to point and laugh, and comment.
