Mechanics Gen 3 Pursuit should only activate on the selected target

What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
Pursuit will not activate before switch-in if used on an ally, and will not double the damage of the move. when an opponent's Pokemon switches out if the move targets an ally.

(EDIT: See below, upon double checking the replay I found it is a different glitch entirely, and the initial mechanic submitted works normally on PS! when not interrupted by this second glitch)

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?

From what you posted and what I'm reading on Bulbapedia, my theory is: while Pursuit targets any opposing Pokémon that switches out in later gens, in Gen 3 it only activates on the move's originally chosen target. So if P1 is the opponent's original target, P2 switching out wouldn't activate Pursuit.

It's also possible that Pursuit can be redirected by Follow Me in Gen 3, unlike in later gens.

Both of these are correct - Pursuit will only activate in Gen 3 if the targeted foe switches out and will not activate if the other foe is the only one to switch out, and Pursuit can be redirected by Follow Me in Gen 3 (can show potato cam footage if requested for these).

Pursuit can be redirected by Follow Me in Gen 3
How does that work? When the Pokémon switches out, does Pursuit activate immediately against the Follow Me user? Or if Follow Me is used, does Pursuit not activate at all and instead only occurs when the Pokémon would normally attack?

Edit: Can a Pokémon be pursuited twice in one turn? Can both opponent Pokémon be pursuited in the same turn?

Sorry, what I tested was that Pursuit was redirected by Follow Me without either opponent switching out. Switch outs will always have a higher priority than Follow Me, so Pursuit's effect cannot ever be redirected by Follow Me.

As for the other questions, I can test them later tonight.

I'm not sure if you can test this just to ease my conscience. In a later generation, if the first Pursuit faints the first switching target, will the second Pursuit activate on the second switching target? Currently, in PS, Pursuit only activates on the first switching target on each side of the field.
In Gen 4, both Pursuit users will target the first switching target, and the second switching target will not be attacked.
