Mechanics Gen 3 switch-in order after fainting to spikes

What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
In ADV, following a double KO, there are glitches regarding both spikes damage and the order of operations. In a cartridge battle (starts at ~1:47) things occur as follows:
- Faster/higher-priority* Pokemon switches in
- Spikes damage is resolved; if Pokemon faints, a replacement is sent in immediately, and spikes damage is resolved immediately for them as well.
- Slower/lower-priority* Pokemon switches in
- Spikes damage is resolved, etc.
*Cartridge switch priority is link battles is modded on Showdown by necessity. Cartridge uses link priority, Showdown uses Speed stats. Just included for completion's sake.

In a Showdown battle, however, it occurs in this order:
- Faster Pokemon switches in
- Slower Pokemon switches in
- Spikes damage is resolved for faster Pokemon. If they faint, a replacement is sent in, with Spikes damage resolved immediately for the replacement
- If the faster Pokemon fainted, slower Pokemon takes no spikes damage. Otherwise, spikes damage is resolved for the slower Pokemon, etc.

The immunity to spikes damage is clearly a bug. Fixing the order of operations may be an intentional mod, or it may be an oversight.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes! https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen3ou-2448079278 The slower Shedinja does not faint upon switching into spikes, and allows the faster Shedinja user to scout the switch-in.
