Hey guys!
I haven't played competitively since gen 4 but I been trying this team out on poke min showdown and it's been working out pretty well for me. Any help would be appreciated, I'll rate back to the best of my ability.
Roserade
Evs: 252spa, 252spe, 4hp
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
Leaf Storm
Sludge Bomb
Sleep Powder
Spikes
Roserade is my lead and spikes layer. Roserade main function is to get down spikes as soon as possible. I have Leaf Storm as my main STAB and Sludge Bomb as a secondary STAB mainly to deal with fairies that block Goodra from being as effective as he can. I have sleep powder to aid with getting more spikes up and to deal with leads Roserade has a problem with and still get spikes up due to my sash. If Roserade sticks around until later in the fight I use her as a status eater with natural cure and a special cleaner.
Starmie @ Life Orb
EVs: 252spa, 252spe, 4hp
Nature: Timid
Ability: Analytic
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Psyshock
Rapid Spin
Starmies main purpose in this team is to rapid spin away entry hazards. Goodra hates entry hazards and Starke does a great job if getting rid of them. I'm running Hydro Pump as my main STAB due to the ridiculous damage it causes and it's ability to poke holes through teams and scare most spin blockers. I'm running psychocut mainly to deal with to deal with mega Venasur but I'm thinking of running thunderbolt to make starmie a gyardos counter. Ice beam rounds off the set with some nice coverage on poker on like Garchomp, Dragonite, and Salamance. Starmie works well with Scizor and Gliscor threatening Mega Venasaur and Gengar respectively.
Scizor @ Choice Band
EVs: 248hp, 252atk, 8spd
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
U-turn
Bullet Punch
Pursuit
Brick Break
Scizor is my revenge killer, my pursuit trapper, and my main way of dealing with fairies. The STAB bullet punch is a must and it deals with a lot of threats to my team quite well. Brick Break is there for steel types so this set isn't so easily walled. U-turn is a scouting move and it's essential to this choice band set functioning while creating a great volt turn combo with rotom-w. Pursuit is there to take care of psychic types and some ghost types that threaten my team.
Gliscor Toxic Orb
EVs: 244Hp, 252Def, 12spe
Nature: Impish
Ability: Poison Heal
Earthquake
Substitute
Toxic
Taunt
Gliscor is my tank and pivot pokemon. He provides my team with much needed psychical bulk while still providing an offense pretense with earthquake. He's my main way of dealing with psychical threats to my team and earthquake has outstanding coverage and scares off fire and steel types. Toxic is great to wear other walls down and shorten the life span of sweepers Gliscor cannot kill with earthquake. Taunt prevents Gliscor from becoming set up bait for sweepers and prevents hazards and status users from plaguing my team. Once Gliscor puts a sub up he's very hard to break through. Gliscor can also function as a lead for match-ups Roserade can't deal with.
Rotom-w @ Chest Berry
EVs: 232Hp, 56Spa, 220spe
Nature: Modest
Ability: levitate
Volt Switch
Hydro Pump
Will-o-wisp
Rest
Rotom-w is here for his great synergy with Scizor and Gliscor. He can take out the psychical walls Scizor has trouble with by using a STABd Hydro Pump or burning them with Will-o-wisp. He's a great scout and his volt turn combo with Scizor puts me in favorable situations. Rest is for recovery and the chest berry is there so I can rest once without worrying about being asleep.
Goodra @ Assault Vest
EVs: 248hp, 8Def, 252Spa
Nature: Quiet
Ability: Gooey
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Thunderbolt
Dragon Tail
Goodra is my main damage dealer on this team and he rips teams apart once his threats and entry hazards are out of the way. Draco Meteor is my main STAB and it hits everyone that doesn't resist it hard. Fire Blast is there for any steel or grass types that try to wall Goodra. Thunderbolt is there for fairy types and flying types that Goodra couldn't otherwise hit. Dragon Tail is there to phase out any pokemon Goodra can't kill and it racks up spikes damage on the opposing team. Goodra isn't always the easiest pokemon to get in which is why I have Starmie to spin hazards away and Rotom-w and Scizor to volt turn and create openings for Goodra to reek havoc. Goodra also functions as a great special sponge with an assault vest when I need him to play that role.
Thanks for reading guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I can make this team better I just don't know how.
