Glass Cannon (Garchomp) @ Life Orb / Clear Amulet / Choice Band
Ability: Rough Skin

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

[SET COMMENTS]
- Garchomp utilizes its high Attack and good Speed to outspeed and greatly weaken foes with powerful spread damage.
- Using both Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake allows Garchomp to switch between dealing single-target and spread damage. Earthquake, however, is used most effectively when Garchomp's partner is able to use Protect or is immune to Ground-type attacks. Rock Slide is most commonly used by Choice Band Garchomp to threaten Flying-types like Talonflame and Pelipper. It is used as an alternative spread damage attack that doesn't affect Garchomp's partner and is unhindered by Grassy Terrain set by a partner Rillaboom.
- Life Orb boosts Garchomp's damage, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto +1 Defense Sneasler with Stomping Tantrum or Earthquake and Dragonite with Dragon Claw. Clear Amulet is used to block Intimidate and Parting Shot from Incineroar. Choice Band provides a greater damage increase than Life Orb, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto Gholdengo with Stomping Tantrum or Earthquake at the cost of being unable to switch between attacks. The item choice greatly affects Garchomp. Life Orb and Choice Band sets are subject to having its Attack dropped by Incineroar cycling Intimidate and Parting Shot, while the damage from Clear Amulet sets is less.
- Tera Steel inverts Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-type attacks such as Moonblast from Clefable, Outrage from Dragonite, and Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales; additionally, it allows Garchomp to resist Choice Specs-boosted Tera Steel Make It Rain from Gholdengo. Tera Ground increases the damage of Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake, allowing Garchomp to OHKO Gholdengo. Tera Fire provides similar resistances as Tera Steel while not granting a weakness to Fighting-type attacks, and it provides an immunity to burn.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Teambuilding
============
- Garchomp fits well onto a variety of teams. It isn't capable of surviving multiple strong attacks, so it relies on partners that allow it to attack without receiving a lot of damage in return. Priority Tailwind setters like Talonflame and Whimsicott are great partners, and they both provide additional Taunt support to disrupt Trick Room setters like Porygon2. Fake Out users like Incineroar disrupt foes for Garchomp. Incineroar additionally provides damage reduction via Intimidate and Parting Shot. Garchomp also works well on balance teams featuring Porygon2, as Garchomp threatens Gholdengo and Incineroar, both of which Porygon2 and its common partners struggle to damage. Garchomp additionally performs well on beatdown teams featuring Dragonite, as Garchomp can freely attack with Earthquake without damaging it.
- Amoonguss and Vivillon provide redirection and sleep support; Amoonguss is bulkier and has a more consistent way of putting foes to sleep, while Vivillon is faster and is immune to Garchomp's Earthquake. Garchomp pairs well with Porygon2; Porygon2 setting Trick Room can allow Garchomp to attack before threats like Dragapult. Porygon2 additionally deals significant damage to Grass- and Flying-types with Ice Beam and can comfortably survive Earthquake while regaining the lost HP with Recover. Dragonite also synergizes well with Garchomp. Dragonite can deal strong damage with Extreme Speed, allowing Garchomp to secure KOs with Earthquake and removes Grass-types like Rillaboom, which Garchomp struggles to KO, with Tera Blast Flying.
- Garchomp is threatened by Dragon-, Fairy-, and Ice-type attacks like Dragon Darts and Outrage from Dragapult, Moonblast from Clefable, and Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales. All of these attacks can be switched into by Steel-type partners such as Gholdengo and Kingambit. Garchomp also struggles to damage Flying-types like Pelipper, especially when it isn't using Rock Slide, so a partner like Alolan Ninetales easily threatens Flying-types with Blizzard and Freeze-Dry.

Strategy Comments
============
- As a glass cannon, Garchomp's task is to deal as much damage as possible uninterrupted. Garchomp performs best when it outspeeds its foes and when it is supported by redirection, allowing Garchomp to attack freely.
- Garchomp excels at being an early-game sweeper as well as a late-game cleaner. Garchomp primarily attacks using Earthquake to damage both foes. It uses Stomping Tantrum when Garchomp's partner is vulnerable to the damage from Earthquake or when Grassy Terrain is active. Dragon Claw and Rock Slide are used to damage foes that resist Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum.
- Dragapult outspeeds and threatens Garchomp. To beat Dragapult, Garchomp needs Tailwind or Trick Room support, allowing it to threaten Dragapult with Dragon Claw before it attacks. A partner Kingambit can also survive an attack from Dragapult and threaten it in return with Kowtow Cleave or before Dragapult attacks with Sucker Punch. Rillaboom is also troublesome for Garchomp, as Grassy Terrain weakens the damage of Earthquake. Garchomp is very reliant on partners like Talonflame and Dragonite to remove Rillaboom, as it struggles to deal threatening spread damage when Grassy Terrain is active.

- The objective of Garchomp is to quickly deal significant damage before it is koed. Garchomp can outspeed the majority of the metagame and has a high attack stat allowing it to take kos before its foes can attack. (yea but like... this is the objective of a lot of mons. Dragapult is faster and similarly strong, why not use it? Like what does Garchomp do specifically that warrants its usage)
- Using both Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake allows Garchomp to switch between dealing single and multiple target spread damage. (maybe mention how quake can only really be used effectively if partner protects/is a flying type) Rock Slide is most commonly used alongside Choice Band Garchomp to threaten Flying-types such as Talonflame and Pelipper. (mention something about how rock slide can also deal spread w/o hitting partner)
- Life Orb boosts Garchomp's damage, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto Dragonite with Dragon Claw (add these if you'd like 252 Atk Life Orb Garchomp Stomping Tantrum vs. +1 4 HP / 0 Def Sneasler: 172-203 (110.2 - 130.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO and I think it 2hko's arch w/ stantrum?), while Clear Amulet is used to prevent its attack from decreasing by Intimidate and Parting Shot from Incineroar. Choice Band provides a greater damage increase than Life Orb, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto Gholdengo, at the cost of being unable to switching between attacks while Garchomp is on the field.
- Tera Ground increases the damage of Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake, while removing Garchomp's weakness to Fairy- and Dragon-type attacks such as Moonblast from Clefable and Outrage from Dragonite, as well as reducing its weakness to Ice-type attacks such as Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales. (can you get tera ground calcs? Also the removing ice and fairy weaknesses isn't that relevant since other teras do that as well) Tera Steel inverts (I feel like inverts isn't that clear, will leave it up to gp) Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-type attacks while additionally provides an immunity to Dire Claw from Sneasler. (Sneasler never dire claws against chomp anyways remove this mention) Tera Fire also inverts Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy- and Ice-type attacks and provides immunity to burn. (mention that you're not weak to fighting)
- The item choice greatly affects Garchomp. Life Orb provides a good damage increase however it is subject to having its attack dropped easily by Incineroar cycling Intimidate and Parting Shot. Clear Amulet prevents these attack drops at the cost of dealing less damage and Choice Band effectively makes Garchomp's attack stat neutral after one Intimidate, while limiting Garchomp's move choice. (you don't really need pros and cons for this set, just blend it in when you talk about items)

- Garchomp isn't capable of surviving multiple attacks so it greats appreciates Fake Out support to prevent foes from attacking it. Partners like Incineroar provide Intimidate and Parting Shot ensuring Garchomp takes less damage alongside Fake Out.
- Redirection from partners such as Amoonguss increases Garchomp's survivability. Amoonguss can additionally shut down threats with Spore.
- Garchomp also greatly appreciates speed control allowing it to outspeed threats such as Dragapult. Whimsicott and Talonflame provide priority Tailwind making them ideal partners. Talonflame is also immune to Ground-type attacks allowing Garchomp to use Earthquake without damaging its partner.
- Garchomp is threatened by Dragon-, Fairy-, and Ice-type attacks all of which Steel-type partners such as Gholdengo and Kingambit can safely switch into.
(I don't really love how you approached this in general. I think there is a lot to talk about with chomp partners and you are not really doing that. Many comps work well, such as the vivillon stuff, p2 amoong teams, and just HO in general and you can definitely elaborate on that. For example, first paragraph you can talk about chomp's diverse team choices and give examples like twind, redirection, fake out, and give examples. Second paragraph you can probably talk about p2 stuff and the dragonite alolatales beatdown, 3rd para elaborate on it, give specific examples. Mention flying types as a weakness too if you'd like)

- As a glass cannon, Garchomp's task is to deal as much damage as possible uninterrupted. Garchomp performs best when it receives a speed boost from Tailwind allowing Garchomp to attack before being attacked and when it is supported by Fake Out to disrupt foes threatening Garchomp. (mention redirection>fake out imo)

It uses Stomping Tantrum when Garchomp's partner is vulnerable to the damage from Earthquake and when Grassy Terrain is active. Dragon Claw and Rock Slide are used to damage foes which resist Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum.
- Dragapult outspeeds and threatens Garchomp. Incineroar can survive an attack from Dragapult and threaten it in return with Knock Off. Opposing Incineroar threatens to significantly decrease Garchomp's attack and can remove Clear Amulet with Knock Off. Primarina in return threatens Incineroar with Hyper Voice. Archaludon can threaten Garchomp by surviving an attack and threatening Garchomp with Draco Meteor. Gholdengo walls and can threaten Archaludon with +2 Shadow Ball. Porygon2 threatens to set up Trick Room making a difficult comeback for Garchomp. Amoonguss is an ideal partner in this situation capable of stalling out Trick Room with redirection and Spore. (you're basically just listing partners that counter enemies instead of talking about how to mitigate these threats. Like mention 1-2 of the biggest counters and how to play around them, not just listing random checks/counters that basically just follow the type chart. Talk about how you can play around these threats and stuff, not just list partners/counters; this isn't the teambuilding section)

Tera Steel inverts Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-type attacks such as Moonblast from Clefable, Outage from Dargonite, and Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales. Amoonguss increases Garchomp's survivability through redirection and it can shut down threats with Spore. Vivillon has also found success while paired with Garchomp. It provides similar redirection support as Amoonguss although it is less bulky and it put foes to sleep with Sleep Powder. Vivillon is also immune to Ground-type attacks allowing Garchomp to freely use Earthquake and it is significantly faster than Amoonguss. Fake Out users like Incineroar disrupt foes for Garchomp. Incineroar additionally provides damage reduction via Intimidate and Parting Shot. (I think you can move a lot of this onto the next paragraph; in this paragraph you can probably just talk about the archytypes chomp works well on (twind/p2 balance) and then next para talk about specific partners like viv and amoonguss. For the viv and amoonguss part you can probably just shorten it to something like "Amoonguss and Vivillon are good partners as they both offer redirection and sleep; Amoonguss is bulkier and has a more consistent way of sleeping the opponents, while Vivillon is faster and is immune to Garchomp's Earthquake." rephrase how you want; For incin, you can merge the two sentences)
- Garchomp pairs well with Porygon2, Porygon2 setting Trick Room can allow Garchomp to attack before threats like Dragapult. (probably better to talk about how p2 can help against grasses/flyings and can shrug off an eq)Garchomp supports Porygon2 in tandem, threatening Gholdengo and Incineroar which Porygon2 struggles to beat alone. Dragonite also synergizes well with Garchomp. Dragonite can deal strong damage with Extreme Speed allowing Garchomp to secure KOs with Earthquake and Dragonite removes Grass-types like Rillaboom with Tera Blast, when it is Tera Flying, which Garchomp struggles to KO.
- Garchomp is threatened by Dragon-, Fairy-, and Ice-type attacks like Dragon Darts and Outrage from Dragapult, Moonblast from Clefable, and Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales. All of these attacks can be survived on switch-in by Steel-type partners such as Gholdengo and Kingambit. Garchomp also struggles to damage Flying-types like Pelipper, especially when it isn't using Rock Slide, so a partner like Alolan Ninetales easily threatens Pelipper with Freeze Dry. (dnite is a better example here, pelli always uses sash so alolatales is basically just breaking sash which is nothing special)

- Garchomp utilises utilizes its high Attack stat and good Speed to outspeed and greatly weaken foes with powerful spread damage.
- Using both Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake allows Garchomp to switch between dealing single target single-target and spread damage. Earthquake, (AC) however, (AC) is used most effectively when Garchomp's partner is able to use Protect or is immune to Ground-type attacks. Rock Slide is most commonly used by Choice Band Garchomp to threaten Flying-types like Talonflame and Pelipper. It is used as an alternative spread damage attack which that doesn't affect Garchomp's partner and is unhindered by Grassy Terrain set by a partner Rillaboom.
- Life Orb boosts Garchomp's damage, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto +1 Defense Snealser with Stomping Tantrum or Earthquake and Dragonite with Dragon Claw. Clear Amulet is used to block Intimidate and Parting Shot from Incineroar. Choice Band provides a greater damage increase than Life Orb, allowing it to threaten an OHKO onto Gholdengo with Stomping Tauntrum Tantrum or Earthquake (RC) at the cost of being unable to switch between attacks. The item choice greatly affects Garchomp. Life Orb and Choice Band sets are subject to having its Attack dropped by Incineroar cycling Intimidate and Parting Shot, while the damage from Clear Amulet sets is less.
- Tera Steel inverts Garchomp's weaknesses to Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-type attacks such as Moonblast from Clefable, Outage Outrage from Dargonite Dragonite, and Blizzard from Alolan Ninetales; (ASC) and additionally, (AC) it allows Garchomp to resist Choice Specs-boosted Tera Steel Make It Rain from Gholdengo. Tera Ground increases the damage of Stomping Tantrum and Earthquake, (AC) allowing Garchomp to OHKO Gholdengo. Tera Fire provides similar resistances as Tera Steel while not granting a weakness to Fighting-type attack weakness attacks, (AC) and it provides an immunity to burn.

Teambuilding
============
- Garchomp fits well onto a variety of teams. It isn't capable of surviving multiple strong attacks, (AC) so it relies on partners which that allow it to attack without receiving a lot of damage in return. Priority Tailwind setters like Talonflame and Whimsicott are great partners, (AC) and they both both of which can provide additional Taunt support to disrupt Trick Room setters like Porygon2. Fake Out users like Incineroar disrupt foes for Garchomp. Incineroar additionally provides damage reduction via Intimidate and Parting Shot. Garchomp also works well on balance teams featuring Porygon2, (AC) as Garchomp threatens Gholdengo and Incineroar, (AC) both of which which Porygon2 and its common partners struggle to damage. Garchomp additionally performs well on beatdown teams featuring Dragonite, (AC) as Garchomp can freely attack with Earthquake without damaging it.
- Amoonguss and Vivillon are good partners as they both provide redirection and sleep support; Amoonguss is bulkier and has a more consistent way of putting foes to sleep, while Vivillon is faster and is immune to Garchomp's Earthquake. Garchomp pairs well with Porygon2 (RC); (ASC) Porygon2 setting Trick Room can allow Garchomp to attack before threats like Dragapult. Porygon2 additionally deals significant damage to Grass- and Flying-types with Ice Beam and Porygon2 can comfortably survive Earthquake while regaining the lost HP with Recover. Dragonite also synergizes well with Garchomp. Dragonite can deal strong damage with Extreme Speed, (AC) allowing Garchomp to secure KOs with Earthquake and Dragonite removes Grass-types like Rillaboom with Tera Blast, when it is Tera Flying, (AC) which Garchomp struggles to KO, which Garchomp struggles to KO with Tera Blast Flying.
Garchomp also struggles to damage Flying-types like Pelipper, especially when it isn't using Rock Slide, so a partner like Alolan Ninetales easily threatens Flying-types with Blizzard and Freeze Dry Freeze-Dry.

Strategy Comments
============
- As a glass cannon, Garchomp's task is to deal as much damage as possible uninterrupted. Garchomp performs best when it outspeeds its foes and when it is supported by redirection, (AC) allowing Garchomp to attack freely.
Dragon Claw and Rock Slide are used to damage foes which that resist Earthquake and Stomping Tantrum.
- Dragapult outspeeds and threatens Garchomp. To beat Dragapult, Garchomp needs Tailwind or Trick Room support, (AC) allowing it to threaten Dragapult with Dragon Claw before it attacks. A partner Kingambit can also survive an attack from Dragapult and threaten it in return with Kowtow Cleave or before Dragapult attacks with Sucker Punch. Rillaboom is also troublesome for Garchomp, with as Grassy Terrain weakening weakens the damage of Earthquake. Garchomp is very reliant on partners like Talonflame and Dragonite to remove Rillaboom, (AC) as it struggles to deal threatening spread damage when Grassy Terrain is active.
