Gen 5 - Sandstorm Team

Status

Tyranitar - Mixed Offensive/Weather Setter

I typically open with Tyranitar for the set up of Sandstorm. When opposing weather teams I also consider opening with Ferrothorn.

Moveset
Crunch
Stealth Rock
Ice Beam
Fire Blast

EVs
HP: 252
SpA: 180
Speed: 76

Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: Sassy
Item: Leftovers

---------------------------------

Ferrothorn - Wall/Hazards

Just a typical Ferrothorn, however he serves as the teams only option for swapping vs. Water/Ice.

Moveset
Power Whip
Gyro Ball
Leech Seed
Spikes

EVs
HP: 252
Def: 48
SpDef: 208

Ability: Iron Barb
Nature: Relaxed
Item: Leftovers

---------------------------------

Jirachi - Special Wall

I believe this is just what you would consider a generic Iron Head Jirachi. I switch in, Paralyze and then attempt to spam flinches.

Moveset
Iron Head
Thunder Wave
Wish
Protect

EVs
HP: 252
SpDef: 224
Sp: 32

Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Careful
Item: Leftovers

---------------------------------

Gliscor - Defense Wall

I find him a reliable defensive wall, the primary weakness being Phys. Sweepers with Ice Punch.

Moveset
Toxic
Earthquake
Ice Fang
Protect

EVs
HP: 252
Def: 184
Sp: 72

Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Impish
Item: Toxic Orb

---------------------------------

Garchomp - Choice Scarf Sweeper

Realistically I use Garchomp mainly for the role of revenge killing other dragons. I attempted to capitalize on his speed in order to make sure I could accomplish that.

Moveset
Outrage
Dragon Rush
Fire Blast
Earth Quake

EVs
HP: 4
Atk: 252
Sp: 252

Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Jolly
Item: Choice Scarf

---------------------------------

Excadrill - Sword Dancer

The most recent addition to my team. I imagine hes so common I don't need to justify my usage.

Moveset
Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Shadow Claw

EVs
HP: 4
Atk: 252
Sp: 252

Ability: Sand Rush
Nature: Adamant
Item: Air Balloon

---------------------------------

[Additional Discussion]

At this point my team feels, good but not as effective/efficient as it could be. I imagine there could be some gaping holes that are blatantly obvious to anyone but me, and I'd love to hear about them.

Because of my lack of experience I have adopted/referenced the Gen5 analysis for pretty much my entire team. Because of this I have no honest justification for things such as EVs, and so I'm extremely open to suggestions.

Thank you for all and any input.

This kind of RMT won't cut it I'm afraid. It's bog standard with nothing new, a poor format and lacks description. Frankly this exact (or a very near-identicle copy) team probably could be found in the RMT forum. If the moves are standard, why are we going to suggest anything new when you've given us nothing new?
