Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Adamant Nature
- King's Shield
- Swords Dance
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak
This team started out with my desire to see what all the hubbub about Aegislash was about this guy. I decided to use him with Gastrodon to make a mondo defensive core. This is a pretty standard ish (I think) build for the dude. I am in love with the fact that Sacred Sword and Shadow Sneak have perfect neutral coverage. Aegislash handles the counters that are sent to my Gastrodon, and if they send out a bulky water I can send out Gastrodon for an attack buff. Yes please
Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Recover
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power
Gastrodon and Aegislash make an excellent synergistic defensive core. Gastrodon beats the fire and ground types that Aegislash has problems with and the sole weakness of Gastrodon is plugged by Aegislash. Toxic and Recover are obvious best friends and Ice beam and Earth Power have great neutral coverage. With Ice taking out the ground counters for Aegislash and Ground taking out the firey ones.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
This build was always faithful to me in Gen 5 and I hope it serves a repeat performance. This build gives me lots of options. I can use rock polish to get this guy's practically uninvested speed to break 430, which seems good. And that opportunity allows me to invest in bulk and clobbering abilities. His attack seems high enough to not NEED swords dance, and the speed option seems more flexible to me and if I elect to not rock polish I have the oft-coveted slow U-turn.
Alakazam @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Energy Ball
Not a whole lot to say about this one. This guy is my fast special nuke. Impeccable coverage and prety untouchable speed. Alakazam's non mega'd ability of magic guard is a great added bonus. It Makes my mega immune to stealth rock which always seems important. But in the end it just seems like a regular old fast special sweeper if there are any suggestions of a better alternative please don't hesitate to tell me.
Roserade @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 144 SAtk / 108 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder
- Sludge Bomb
- Aromatherapy
Ahhh underrated Roserade. Just fast enough to outspeed the things I want to outspeed, puts guys to sleep and heals my team with Aromatherapy. The EV's make it as fast as possible, have the "magic" health with lefties and still hit hard. This set up is WALLED by steel types but I elected to use sludge bomb for STAB and a fairy hoser.
Donphan @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Atk / 160 SDef
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Rapid Spin
Finally my spinner this lovely gent can set up rocks and take them away, STAB EQ is good and this adorable little tire elephant (seriously what is up with that) has some nice priority with Ice Shard. But this is where the good stuff ends, I desperately needed a spinner and just used Donphan but am open for other suggestions for a spinner.
Wel that is it my attempt at a balanced gen 6 team. Any suggestions, comment, alternates, or insults are appreciated.
Oh and how do you add the thumbnail pictures that everyone seems to have on their RMT? It adds so much pizazzz and I want to join the cool kids club.
