Hi Guys! I made a Gen 6 OU Team with an Avengers theme, centered around Mega Kangaskhan, which is just that fantastic!
Here's the team:
Black Widow (Ninjask) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Protect
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
This is your typical sword dance/speed boost/baton passer, and most of the time, my lead. Baton passing +2 Speed and +2 Attack and a substitute is almost always going to guarantee a sweep from Mega Kangaskhan. That extra speed will make your Kangaskhan near immortal, and that extra attack means MegaKang doesnt have to open with a Power-up Punch. And guess what, she can do it again and again, giving the same boosts to Aegislash and Talonflame as well. The Black Widow of the team, assisting in the shadows, she will make her other teammates shine. I love leading with this when I see a Smeargle on the other team, as Ninjask is going to outspeed Smeargle and set up a substitute before Smeargle can open with Spore. However, if the opponent has a Talonflame(which is going to go first), or a Mammoswine (with Ice Shard, it is going to go first too), I would consider leading with someone else. Another problem is Taunt, which appears to be ubiquitous now, which would force me to swap out.
Iron Man (Klefki) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Swagger
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Foul Play
Your typical annoyance swagplay Klefki. It is my go to guy when there is a pokemon which my team has trouble taking out, or when there is a buffed, sword-danced/dragon-danced/bulkup-ed opponent on the field ready to sweep the hell out of me. It may even go in as my lead, if I decide that I cannot lead with anyone else. This guy can take a Taunt if you open with Swagger. While the opponent thinks he is very clever for Taunting you, go in with a Foul Play and show him the pain. With that Swagger, and that Steel Typing, he is definitely the IronMan of the team.
The Hulk (Kangaskhan) (F) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Power-Up Punch
- Crunch
- Return
- Earthquake
This is the bread and butter physical sweeper of the team. Power-up Punch is for if the boost from Ninjask goes wrong. Return as an extremely strong STAB. Earthquake as a powerful coverage. I was going to go with Sucker Punch, but there was an enemy I had in mind: Perish Song Mega Gengar. That Crunch is Kangaskhan's ticket to OHKO a Megagar who thinks he is so smart to swap in after you have Mega'ed and thus losing the Scrappy Ability. Nevertheless, MegaKang is going to hurt from STAB-ed Mach Punches, even after the Speed Boost from Ninjask, like from the likes of Breloom. The bulky physical sweeper, there is no doubt that MegaKang is the Hulk. HULK SMASH!
Thor (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Rotom-W is the odd pokemon in my team, and appears to be my weakest link for now. I considered switching this to Zapdos or Jolteon, but both do not have what I need in mind: Fire resistance. My team has a lack of Fire-resistance and this guy gives me it. Switching in when the opponent is about to use a Flamethrower can still hurt, but the utility this little guy provides is amazing. Furthermore, switching into an Earthquake works too, to protect Klefki and Aegislash. Will-O-Wisp can render physical sweepers useless, and coupled with Klefki could be a pain in the ass. Throwing around Lightning, this guy is Thor, God of Thunder.
Captain America (Aegislash) @ Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Brave Nature
- Swords Dance
- King's Shield
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
This Aegislash is utilized as a wall-cum-physical attacker. King's shield stops many contact attacks and render them useless, but one thing it is weak to is an Earthquake. But then again, that is what Rotom-W is in the team for. Shadow Sneak is actually a great priority STAB, which hits much much harder than you think it can, and sacred sword hurts, especially with sword dance in place. I am not too concerned about speed, as I can always get the boost from Ninjask if I have to. With a shield in hand, and packing quite a punch, this guy is undoubtedly Captain America.
Hawkeye (Talonflame) @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Swords Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
Life Orb? That's crazy! But it works, because that is the nature of Talonflame in this team, to be utilized as a suicide bomber. That STAB Brave Bird with Life Orb will hit HARD, and will not immediately kill Talonflame, giving it a chance to do it again. The Roost gives Talonflame a recovery channel, and Flare Blitz takes out pesky Steel Types. The Sword Dance gives Talonflame a HUGE boost, especially when you predict a King's shield or Protect coming up. Talonflame is also my answer to Breloom checking my MegaKang. Talonflame is Hawkeye, with arrow in place and ready to shoot.
