This is my first competitive team, as I only started competitive this gen, and I've been using it for about two weeks. Metagross is the one I'm least sure about, but any criticism is appreciated. :)
Gliscor with Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Impish
-Earthquake
-Toxic
-Substitute
-Protect
Gliscor is generally there for all the physical threats such as Garchomp and Scizor, as well as to poison things relying on recovery. I'm generally happy with it, however flying types completely wall me so I'm unsure whether or not to keep Earthquake as my only attacking move or whether or not I should replace Substitute with something like Ice Fang, as I have no idea what to do when something like Skarmory or another Gliscor comes out other than switch.
Metagross with Air Balloon
Clear Body
252 SpDef / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant
-Meteor Mash
-Bullet Punch
-Zen Headbutt
-Pursuit
Metagross, to be honest, is there based more on nostalgia than for its strength, though it is nice to switch in on Ghost types and Pursuit them. This is the slot in my party I routinely change; in the past I've experimented with Greninja and Technician Breloom. I've also tried Metagross with Choice items but I felt pretty limited. I do really appreciate being able to threaten Sylveon and Florges with this, as otherwise they've given me trouble.
Alakazam with Alakazite
Magic Guard
252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid
-Psyshock
-Dazzling Gleam
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
I like to switch Alakazam in on slower things and sweep. It's particularly cool when I can trace Protean or Multiscale, and generally I'm happy with the bulk provided by the Mega Evo, which can usually take an unboosted Shadow Sneak from Aegislash. Mostly I just wanted a fast, powerful special sweeper that wouldn't need to set up, and hardly anything outspeeds it, considering I rarely see anyone using Mega Aerodactyl.
Rotom-W with Chesto Berry
Levitate
252 SpDef / 252 Def / 4 HP
Calm
-Hydro Pump
-Volt Switch
-Will-O-Wisp
-Rest
Rotom is mostly there to take special hits from things like Gengar, and the burn is handy when someone has a Garchomp, Scizor or even a Ferrothorn, as well as grass types that switch in to try and take me out. I also prefer the extra attacks to other special walls like Blissey so that I don't become taunt bait and I can actually threaten a lot of things like Gliscor and Skarmory.
Dragonite with Weakness policy
Multiscale
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Hp
Jolly
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-Extremespeed
Multiscale means that it survives most first hits. When they're super-effective, the WP boost plus D-Dance allows me to take out most things in one go. Extremespeed protects me from priority users, whilst Fire Punch is mostly there for Ferrothorn and Scizor, because when I ran Thunderpunch instead, Dragonite tended to get completely walled.
Volcarona with Rocky Helmet
Flame Body
252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 Hp
Timid
-Fiery Dance
-Bug Buzz
-Giga Drain
-Quiver Dance
I use Fiery Dance instead of Fire Blast because of the increased accuracy and the boosts, which work really well with Quiver Dance. I use Timid instead of Modest to outspeed most water threats, and Giga Drain will take out most of them after a Quiver Dance. Then Rocky Helmet is there to work in tandem with Flame Body and punish things that try to take advantage of Volcarona's poor defense, which I thought seemed more worthwhile than Air Balloon or a choice item.
Let me know what you think! :)
