Terrakion: Lead
Landorus-T: Offensive Pivot
Gengar: Late Game Garbage Man
Latios: Offensive Pivot
Azelf: Main Garbage Man
Thundurus: Set Up

Hello everyone! This is a team I made that is made of pure offense. There are a total of five status moves, two of them being boosting moves (Swords Dance and Nasty Plot), and two essential wall breaking moves (Taunt and Stealth Rock). It is made to smash teams with defensive cores, and out speed offensive cores. The only Pokemon that can be considered defensive is Landorus-Therian, which is an offensive pivot. Now, let's get to it, because I hate stalling. United State of Offense FTW!

Terrakion is my lead. Its purpose is to lead the team and use Taunt ASAP. It has 346 speed, effectively making it out speed most other leads. The set was based on Smogon's Stealth Rock Terrakion, except I replaced Stealth Rock with Taunt, to make it a lead. Taunt prevents Will-O-Wisp, and it stops Toxic from breaking Terrakion's Focus Sash. After the Taunt and because of the Sash, Terrakion has a guaranteed Swords Dance. Because of the excellent speed that Terrakion hosts, after a Swords Dance he'll almost surely knock something out with his great 714 attack after a single Swords Dance. Stone Edge comes in with a 150 BP after STAB, and Close Combat with 180 BP after STAB. After Sash activates, it's used as death fodder for a safe switch into...

As I've mentioned before, Landorus-Therian is my offensive pivot. He is also my wall breaker, my physically defensive wall along with Intimidate, which pretty much guarantees a switch from physical attackers. Also, he also takes the place of my Stealth Rock user. Due to the magnificence that Landorus-Therian is, Gliscor and Landorus-T itself are common counters because both are resistant to U-turn and immune to Earthquake. However, Hidden Power Ice is a guaranteed 2HKO (64.4 - 76.8%) on Gliscor, as well as Landorus-Therian (64 - 75.5%). Earthquake is there for obvious reasons (STAB 100 BP), and U-turn is there for momentum with a slight amount of damage. And momentum leads into...

Azelf is my favorite Pokemon. With a base special attack of 125 (which amounts to 349) and a base speed of 115 (which amounts to 361), with Life Orb stacking on top of those beastly stats, Azelf is a straight up beast that will wreck any offensive Pokemon. Psyshock will take care of Blissey and any other purely specially defensive Pokemon, and offers reliable and powerful STAB. Shadow Ball hits potentially threatening Ghost types, Flamethrower hits Steel types and Bug types, and most of all, Thunderbolt hits Water types hard. Azelf is a quick and simple sweeper, and he cleans up any weakened Pokemon happily. And at the end of his sweep, he leads into...

Latios is my bulky sweeper, who can also hit hard once with Draco Meteor, then be sacrificed for a safe switch. I choose Life Orb over Choice Specs because Roost lets me recover the damage that Latios takes over the residual Life Orb and switch between moves, and although Choice Specs would eliminate that and boost the power by exactly 1.2x, there is still the damage it takes from direct damage and hazards. Speaking of switching into hazards, that takes us to...

Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast

Terrakion

Thundurus is a straight up beast, I'll just come right out and say it. He's practically an Azelf that gets to double its special attack. Thundurus reaches 698 special attack after a single Nasty Plot, has a terrific 353 speed, and has BoltBeam coverage with Focus Blast to add on. There are few things that can live a STAB Thunderbolt from 698 SAtk. And Life Orb damage, too? That's terrifying. I don't have much else to say, so let's get onto the final Pokemon. Terrifying? That reminds me...

There isn't much explanation needed for the pure offense Gengar. Perfect coverage from Shadow Ball / Focus Blast, and Shadow Ball has STAB. I'm using Sludge Bomb because of the imminence of Fairies in the new Generation Six metagame plus STAB gives you a 1HKO on so many things. Thunderbolt hits some Water types happily, and doesn't care about anything except Ground types.

Weaknesses

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Spd / 252 Atk
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

This thing just wrecks me. I have no counter to it after a single Swords Dance, but if I see it then I can lead with Landorus-T, get Stealth Rocks up, and then counter it with Terrakion. The Choice Band BB variant does about 36% to my Thundurus, but that's still a 2HKO after Life Orb and Stealth Rock. Landorus-T is slightly helpful, but his Hidden Power Ice does retched damage, and Talon can just fire off another Swords Dance. I'm looking for a replacement to Gengar to counter Talonflame and cover up some of my weaknesses (

If you have any suggestions, I'm open to constructive criticism. Thanks for reading!

just so you know, azelf gets nasty plot. also, a whole lot of life orbs. your team is gonna get worn down quick
I know that Azelf gets Nasty Plot, but his purpose is to clean up worn down Pokemon. And if you'll notice, I have 4 Life Orbs and 5 Ground immunities. Due to the heavy offense, lots of Life Orbs are inevitable. On my Gen 5 offensive team, I only have 1 life orb, because I have 3 choice users, a cloyster, and a focus punch breloom. And most of my Pokemon are frail anyway, so the life orb won't matter.
