National Dex Gen 8 Nat Dex Rain Team (I'm New To Rain Teams So Any Feedback is Much Appreciated)

Pelipper (M) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 36 Def / 224 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- U-turn
- Defog
- Hurricane

Pelipper is pretty much mandatory on a rain team, and so is Damp Rock. Pelipper also provides the team with a slow U-turn to pivot safely. Hurricane can handle the fighting types that others might struggle with, and scald hits surprisingly hard under rain, I also included defog just for hazard removal.

Swampert-Mega @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch
- Superpower

Swampert provides speed control for the team, I could run Jolly to outspeed scarf Kartana but I prefer the extra power. Waterfall instead of Liquidation because the flinch chance can save matches, and Earthquake nails Toxapex, Ice Punch can surprise KO Landorus-T on a predicted E-quake, and Superpower nails Steel types and opposing Ash-Gren. Having Damp pre-Mega can stop Landouros-T from exploding.

Toxtricity @ Throat Spray
Ability: Punk Rock
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 56 Atk / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Boomburst
- Shift Gear
- Drain Punch
- Overdrive

I chose this Toxtricity set because Boomburst is a very strong move, and it gets a boost from punk rock. Shift Gear because it doubles speed and gives an attack boost. Drain Punch because it damages the opponent and heals you. Lastly Overdrive for punk rock boost and STAB, Toxtricity takes Corviknight and Celesteela usually.

Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Ice Fang
- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs

I was originally using Ludicolo but I recently switched to Barraskewda, Barraskewda is a naturally fast pokemon with quite a decent attack stat and a good offensive movepool. It can do things Ludicolo cannot, like ohko hydreigon with Close Combat and it has priority in Aqua Jet for opposing priority users. It's a pokemon that doesn't necessarily need rain to be up to function well, thanks to its great speed.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed

Ferrothorn is a great SR setter, and it forms a defensive core with Pelipper. Gyro Ball gets a surprising amount of KO's after Iron Barbs and Rocky Helmet chip, and Leech Seed is both recovery and whittles down the opponent. Power whip for extra coverage against those water/ground types, etc, Ferrothorn also provides a valuable Grass and Electric resist.

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- U-turn

Urshifu is my third rain sweeper alongside Swampert and Barraskewda, and it gives the team an alternative priority. Surging Strikes is both a multi-hit move and a water move, which can be great utility. Close Combat is great STAB, U-turn allows me to scout moves and pivot into Ferrothorn to take a hit.

I'm new to both rain teams and the forums so I'd appreciate any help and thank you for your time to anyone who is willing to give feedback.

Hi!, welcome to the forums
Nice team and it a very good first attempt, with that being said these are some changes I'd recommend to improve your team:

:ss/Zapdos: > :ss/toxtricity:
Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Weather Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Roost

Zapdos fits much better in a rain team IMO, Hurricane and Weather Ball are a great combination, and thanks to Weather Ball even Lando-T cannot afford to switch in or stay in against Zapdos, increasing your chances of winning. Thunderbolt is for annoying water pokemon such as Toxapex and Roost is for more longevity.

:ss/Manaphy: > :ss/barraskewda:
Manaphy @ Waterium Z
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 248 HP / 240 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
- Tail Glow
- Surf
- Energy Ball
- Rest

Although you weren't wrong in using Barraskewda as it is a great Swift Swim user, it isn't as needed due to Mega Swampert already filling the same role. I chose Manaphy instead because currently, your team struggles with Stall. This Manaphy set is one of the best stall breaker sets IMO and it also fills the teams lack of a setup sweeper for bulkier teams. Rest is extremely useful thanks to its ability in Hydration and allows Manaphy to live for longer, which is essential for late games. Finally, the Speed Evs is to outspeed a Modest Heatran (which can sometimes carry Grassium Z and prevent it from using Bloom Doom)

:ss/Swampert-Mega:
I'm going to recommend changing the nature to Jolly from Adamant, the reason for this is Jolly allows it to outspeed Scarf Kartana which can easily sweep us.

:ss/Ferrothorn:
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off / Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip

I've changed the Evs as I feel that this would be better. As we already have a defensive Pelipper we would need something to absorb special hits from pokemon such as Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Greninja. Thus I've added 92 Defense Evs as that allows you to survive a Choice Band-boosted Sacred Sword from Kartana after Stealth Rock damage. Knock off could also be nice especially with how common Heavy Duty Boots and Choiced items are, crippling the opponent's team and making it easier for your team to clean.

Minor changes
These changes aren't as necessary, even though I do think it would be more useful you don't necessarily need to implement them

:SS/Pelipper:
I'm not sure what those Evs are exactly for but I'd recommend just using this (though I would be interested to know why you went with what you did)

Pelipper @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn

:SS/Greninja: > :ss/Urshifu-Rapid-Strike:
Greninja-Ash (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Water Shuriken
- Ice Beam

Greninja is a great pokemon to have in National Dex, thanks to its Speed Tier and ability to sweep late game. I chose Greninja because Choice Specs not only would help to break down any bulkier teams, but thanks to its Speed, Tapu-Koko won't be as big of a threat anymore, which can otherwise be quite problematic for rain teams. The first 3 moves of this set are quite standard but I've added Ice beam to improve coverage as I felt we needed something to hit Dragons apart from Swampert.
