Ok, this my current standard team, and it hasn't been going to well (I lose more than I win), so I need some criticisms, advice etc. This is my first RMT btw, so I apologise for any errors/omissions or w/e. (Red=Changes)
Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
Normally, I'll lead with this to deal with other common leads like Ttar or Azelf/Uxie etc. It normally just deals with the lead, and then gets the hell outta there to be used late-game. Sometimes I can just feign it as a lead to lure in a fire type, when I actually place something else as my lead. The moveset is quite standard, I prefer Pursuit over Quick Attack as it allows to me catch stuff on the switch out for big damage (like non-Flamethrower Blissey etc.). The EVs are also self explantory, with the heavy investment giving it some extra bulk to switch in on.
Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
- Psyshock
Its a great tank that can just switch in on physical moves, and set up. As soon as I see something like Excadrill, I'll bring in Slowbro. Regenerator also provides useful recovery for when I need to switch out. I've had quite a few occasions where it's just been Slowbro as my last Pokemon and it pulls through. The physical bulk is really useful, and it can hit hard with quite decent coverage (although the coverage is nowhere near perfect. EVs and ability allow maximum physical bulk.
Excadrill (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Sand Rush
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor (formally Rapid Spin)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
Is there anything to needed to say about this? I guess I've gone with Rapid Spin to blow away hazards for when Volcarona comes in. I would prefer X-Scissor/Brick Break for extra coverage, but RS support is important. Well, ignore all of that then. Now I no longer have Volcarona, then Rapid Spin isn't really as necessary. I've gone with X-Scissor as suggested, for extra coverage, allowing me to do extra damage to common Pokes like Reuniclus.
Virizion @ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I'm not 100% on using Virizion. It hasn't been that useful for me, maybe I'm just not using it right. Anyway, its a standard CM set. I just switch in on a resistance and (like Slowbro) set up. I don't like having two CMers in the same team, I'm not sure if thats an issue or not. I'll consider adding a physical twist into my set as suggested, but I've changed my mind on Virizion. I was doubtful before, but now I really like it, its won me quite a few battles lately.
Tyranitar (M) @ Chople Berry
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 180 SAtk / 76 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Crunch
Ttar's here to provide sand for Excadrill and SR. I kind of didn't want this to be a sand team, but I was thinking of good physical sweepers I could use, and Excadrill was the stand-out figure, which obviously meant I had to include sand support. If I am going to add some extra attack Evs into here, then I'm not sure where to take them away from. I guess I could take some out of its HP...
Latios @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Recover
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Ok, this is the new Pokemon in my team. A reliable special sweeper. I am considering a Choice Set, as I'm missing a lot of important OHKOs atm. I use Expert Belt over Life Orb, largely to feign a Choice item to my opponent. I'm considering changing the item to Choice Specs and Recover to Trick, but I'll see how it goes for now.

So there it is. All advice and criticism (there'll be a lot of the latter) welcome.
Edit: I took your suggestion DaRkRaii and included Latios ahead of Volcarona, thnx. And as L3un1t mentioned, this means I can take RS off of Excadrill

Volcarona (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Hidden Power [Ground]
Something else that I'm not entirely convinced on. I used to have special Victini in this spot, but that didn't quite work out. I've gone with HP Ground so I'm up the creek without a paddle against Heatran (well, except Air Balloon Heatrans...)
