Geodude6 vs. Iggy Azalea! War of the Mummies (Take 2)!

♫Prologue

Once upon a time, about 4500 years ago, there lived a mighty pharaoh. You won't find him in conventional records of ancient Egypt; Much like King Tut some 1200 years later, he is largely believed to have been unpersoned following his death. What little is known about him stems from hieroglyphs in his tomb, which was discovered about five months ago.

His name was Hotekh. He was a giant of a man, a warrior king who cut down countless armies with overwhelming might. Unfortunately, Hotekh was just as brutal to his subjects as he was to his enemies, and before long, the people revolted. Hotekh being Hotekh, they got crushed pretty quickly at first, but then the rebels found themselves a savior - Hotekh's nephew, Atem.

Little is known about this Atem, though he appears to have been a practitioner of some kind of sorcery, as the glyphs depict him apparently conjuring portals and placing some kind of cursed branding on his uncle's chest that eventually killed him. Atem himself took the throne afterwards as a hero of the people. However...well, you know the saying "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss?" Well, that's what happened.

Atem's powers also had an unwanted side effect. Some months after Hotekh's interral, A massive portal opened up in front of the Pharaoh's palace, one similar to the ones Atem had conjured during his revolt, and from its inky depths, came a monstrous Revenankh. One bearing a certain mark on his chest. The brand that slew Hotekh not only resurrected him, but made him capable of the very magic that killed him.

And the first thing he intended to do with it was tear his nephew limb from limb.

To combat his raging uncle, Atem used his dark magic to turn himself into a colossal abomination resembling what we now know as a Mega Banette. The battle that ensued rocked the very foundations of the earth. Had both not been sealed away in a pair of staves, Egypt - and indeed, the world at large - would look nothing like it does today.

This is what Musharraf Al-Azab had managed to glean from the legend of Hotekh. Although he had heard little following the pharaoh's awakening and subsequent theft, the professor had thrown himself into investigating the matter following a call from his protege a little over a week ago. Hotekh had apparently been stolen by a criminal syndicate in America, and had gone on a rampage in Poketopia.

And of course, the idiot tried to put a stop to it. His passion for preserving the past, endemic to any archaeologist, could not be denied, but sticking his nose into a mob war? Not even his father had ever been this reckless! But as furious as the professor was, this was all still on the other end of the world. All he could hope to do was muster every bit of knowledge on Hotekh that he could, speculate what this 'Prosopida' intends to do with the pharaoh...and pray to Allah that the damned fool didn't get himself killed in the meantime.

Speaking of which...he'd probably have a heart attack if he knew that the son of the late Rico Lad was currently present for part two of Hotekh and Atem's cataclysmic battle.

Specifically, laying face-down on broken pavement, unconscious, and about to get brutally murdered by a certain Dusknoir.

BEN!

All Elise really wanted today was to get the key stone pitch over with, get the last bit of funding she needed, and hopefully find some way in it all to show up that prick from Devon. Instead, her life was turned upside down, fucked up beyond all recognition, and currently in very real danger of coming to a violent end.

Easter had been caught up with that fight between the gigantic Revenankh and the equally gigantic Banette, along with that detective and the masked man. The carnage in the distance was wreathed with glowy purple...stuff that seemed to warp the space around it. To make matters worse, she couldn't do anything to help him, because of a more immediate threat...namely, that Dusknoir that had just knocked Ben out cold. The blow was bad enough, but the fact that he seemed to have already taken some kind of trauma (from last night, no doubt) terrified her. Rico wasn't around, so she couldn't understand what the ghost was saying, but he appeared to be gloating like the villain of some crappy action movie.

He also looked like he was going to turn his wrath on her, more an afterthought than any real intent. How insulting.

Elise summoned what was left of her pokemon. She had no idea what Prosopida or that Dusknoir or whoever meant to gain from all this, but those questions could be answered later. Right now, there were more pressing issues.

El.png

I don't care what your reasons are...

And as the old proverb says, Hell hath no fury.

El.png

...you fucked with the wrong woman.

: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Synchronise: (Passive) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and when inflicted by the major status ailments Burn, Poison, or Paralysis, will share their status condition with the opponent. Pokemon will not be inflicted by status conditions to which they are immune by virtue of typing, ability, etc.
Inner Focus: (Passive) When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.
Magic Guard: (Passive) This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, Burn, and Partial Trapping moves. It can still attack itself in confusion, and will still take damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect the Pokemon will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is negated.

Round 1: Mirror Match
♫You will know our names

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight's match will be reffed by a disembodied voice, as Ben is currently missing, the Chief is looking for him, Robo-ref is hooked up to a charger, Moe is off, Sabueso is currently leaping off a turnbuckle and slamming onto Aguila, and a freak accident last episode caused Al and Ted to drop off the face of the earth.
alphonse.png
83.png

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...*gasp*...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Anyway, tonight's match is a repeat of a failed attempt that ended in a forfeit in the very first round a 6v6 doubles battle between local trainer Nathaniel who is really a john masquerading as a total edgelord, and Camilla of the Nohr region who is really top 40 bait masquerading as her waifu. Who is shit, because Camilla is not Tharja. Having won the bronzor, Nate sends out first - a Revenankh by the name of Taijin, and SHPAI!, The ditto. Camilla sends out a Revenankh of her own (known as Agate), and an Aegislash by the name of Aurum.

Oh? What's this? Spy's turning into an Aegislash itself! Looks like we've got a mirror match on our hands, ladies and gents.

This even seems to apply to their moves, as both mummies disappear, while both Aegislash and Not throw shadow balls at each other. Spy wins the speed tie, but that's not necessarily a good thing, as switching to Blade stance first leaves it wide open to Aurum's own attack. Nate still gets his revenge, however, as Taijin's Phantom Force attack manages to score a crit, the damage just barely outpacing Agate's own. Camilla turns to the defensive next, both her pokemon shielding themselves (literally, in Aurum's case) as Taijin and Spy strike impotently, but the third action is essentially a repeat of the first. First blood goes to our trainer from Nohr, as Agate finishes Spy off with a Phantom Force, but the crit from earlier scored Nate's own Revenankh that tiny fraction of health needed to take Aurum down as well.

First round and it already stands one and one. We'll need some time for our trainers to send their orders, so why don't you enjoy the story of some egotistical little prick in the meantime?
♫Theme of Hotekh

There was no denying it - the whole mission went FUBAR. Not only did somebody - somehow - manage to swipe the greater part of Hotekh's staff, a second giant pokemon with a staff has shown up - something resembling a mega banette, and the ensuing fight has turned into one of those Japanese monster movies, with the fabric of reality getting torn up in the process. Rosethorn called for backup a few minutes ago, but he couldn't ascertain how long it would take for Antigone to get here. Van Houten and Blondie are unaccounted for, but presumably still alive. Rogers and the guy with a face like an Easter Island head have turned their attentions to stopping the two behemoths - normally an unwise move, but right now Thorn needed all the help he can get.

Unless Schneider somehow saw this coming - and Thorn wouldn't quite put it past him - he's going to be furious.

rosethorn.png

(So the first order of business is to somehow get one of those staves...maybe if I can get one of those idiots to produce a divers-)

As if on cue, a wrecked pickup truck came flying into the carnage, smacking Atem in the back. In his rage, the monstrous Banette turned to face who would dare strike him so, only for Hotekh to slam his fist right into his face. That was the diversion Thorn needed, and he began to put his plan in motion...

...and immediately abandon it, as he had barely enough time to dodge the gigantic, flaming blue sword coming right at him.

Rico.png

YOU!

rosethorn.png

Tch. Still alive?

Rico.png

You don't think I've forgotten, have you?

rosethorn.png

Of course not. Unfortunately, I've got bigger problems right now, as you can see.

Rico.png

FUCK YOU!

Rico swiped at Thorn again. Looks like he cares more about avenging that prettyboy.

rosethorn.png

Goddamn mutt...Fine, I'll off you first!

Round 2: Abusive tactics

Welcome back, ladies and gents. As you'll recall, both Nate's Ditto and Camilla's Aegislash bit it last round, meaning both have to summon new pokemon. The former breaks out a shiny Shuckle by the name of E.D. - what those initials mean unfortunately elude me - while the latter, who got a makeover over the course of a commercial break and is apparently some kind of chronomancer, calls out her Sableye, known as Obsidian.

Now, Obsidian has Prankster on his side, which makes him great for causing all sorts of trouble. Unfortunately, Camilla had to order first, leaving her squad ripe for substitution abuse, and what would have been a taunt aimed at E.D. becomes torment instead, Nate's...what the hell is a Shuckle supposed to be, anyway? A snail? A worm? Some kind of mollusk? Switzerland? Anyway, E.D. takes advantage of this by encoring said torment, leaving the poor Sableye to do fuck all for the rest of the round, while Taijin knocks off Agate's life orb his Everstone. This does not stop Agate from bitchslapping the shinier Revenankh with Phantom Force - and scored a crit, no less!

Obsidian, as mentioned before, does fuck all thanks to Encore. Agate lands a punch on Taijin's face before the latter disappears into nothing, while E.D. continues his setup, this time firing floating rocks towards Camilla's end of the field. It's kind of surprising that Taijin doesn't appear with rocks imbedded in her as she Phantom Forces her less shiny doppelganger. Speaking of which, although E.D. gives her a boost, exhaustion has made Taijin slow to act on Phantom Forcing again, and Agate manages to disappear into the aether first...

...which, unfortunately for our trainer from Nohr, is precisely what Nate wanted. Agate is also too quick to land the blow, slamming her fist into a whole lot of nothing. The punishment is...well, it's not pretty. That said, she's not out just yet.

Also, struggle. WHY?! IS?! IT?! ALWAYS?! FUCKING?! ENCORE?!

That round clearly didn't end well for Camilla, but there's still plenty of a chance that the next will end badly for her nemesis, too. Anyway, time for a commercial and fighting between two other mummies.
wyverii_revenankh.png

GROAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!

latest

GRIGHIIGHIIIGH!

Black and purple shreds ravage the air as both of the abominable pharaohs sling their dark magic at each other. Although Moai-face had his pokemon out, Rogers had none of his own, and an Arcanine and a Poliwrath wouldn't be enough to stop the two colossi.

51.png

(If this keeps up, all of Sumshadagrene's gonna go up in smoke. Dammit Clint, think!)

It's at this point that a pickup truck flies overhead and slams into the Banette's back. He's furious now.

latest

GRIGHII-

Just as he turns around, however, Hotekh slams his fist into his face, and the fight continues. Turning around themselves, Rogers and Easter found a battered Togekiss, an equally battered Hydreigon, and a pudgy guy dragging a vending machine.

235.png

Alright, where the hell is he?

51.png

You're that guy from-

235.png

Yeah, and I can see it came back to bite us all in the ass. Now where's Lad?

51.png

The other end of the fight, last I saw him. His lady friend, too.

Easter darkened a little at that.

Easter.png

We can't get to the other side, though. Not with the place like it is. I'm pretty sure those two are the ones causing it.

Butch sighed, and then lifted his vending machine overhead.

235.png

Well, if you're gonna do something about it, I got some firepower for ya!

Round 3: Abuse Backfire

Well, that was certainly immature of me. My apologies.

So anyway, Agate starts the round off by shielding herself from attacks, causing Nate's mons to direct their attacks to Obsidian. The Sableye proceeds to take advantage of this by reflecting some damage onto Taijin, albeit not much. Agate follows up by casting her shadow right behind her shinier nemesis, outpacing a Shadow Sneak of Taijin's own. Unfortunately, she's unable to survive the counterattack, and goes down. Also, countering pin missiles.

Also also, flubbed countering and Obsidian getting bitchslapped.

Sadly for our time traveler - seriously, I took my eyes off her for half a second. How the fuck did she get that axe? trainer from Nohr, her tactics backfired, leaving the round ending 2-1, Nate. Will her next move turn things around? Unfortunately, we gotta stop for a commercial, so you're gonna have to listen to demands from our sponsors to buy their shit. Or not. You could just change the channel. Why should I care? They already bought their commercial slots, it's not my problem anymore.

Alternatively, you could watch some meaningless drivel.

♫???

I seem to be waking up in strange places a lot today.

I opened my eyes to see nothing beneath me but a white void, yet I felt like I was laying face down. Shifting my arms in an attempt to hold on to something...yep. I'm on a flat surface. I pushed myself up, and noticed everything around and above me was as white as the "ground" below. Did you ever watch Dragonball when you were a kid? It looked kinda the hyperbolic time chamber, but without the castle in the center.

And as far as I know, I'm the only one here.

Ben.png

...Hello?

Nothing answers me but my own echo. Where the hell am I? I think I might have been here before, but-

242.png

What ho, there!

I jumped as a man's voice roared behind me, one not unlike that of Brian Blessed.

Ben.png

Waaah!

I found the voice's source right behind me. Hell, he actually kind of looked like him, too.

242.png

Bahahaha! Scared you there, didn't I?!

Ben.png

Where...where the hell am I? Is this some collective unconsciousness bullshit or something? And who are you, anyway? I'm pretty sure no one else was here five seconds ago.

242.png

Oh come now, you don't remember me? We met here barely a few hours ago!

Ben.png

I'm...pretty sure I don't remember that.

242.png

Perhaps not in this form, but...

Not Brian Blessed's body began to distort, eventually shifting into...into...

valerie1.png

Ring any bells now?!

OH GOD IT'S THE EYES GIRL

***

242.png

Bahahahaha! That was gold! To think you'd scream like a little girl!

Ben.png

I do not scream like a little girl. And that still doesn't answer my question.

242.png

Well, I happen to be the master of this domain! And my name is-

Not Brian Blessed proceeded to recite a long, unintelligible monstrosity that sounded like an unholy amalgation of broken Swahili, a foghorn, Godzilla's roar, and a drowning Zangoose having sex with a blender.

242.png

Buuuuut, that might be a tad hard for you to pronounce, so...call me Victor Von Grrrrrrroodle, the time-transcending singularity!

Ben.png

...right. Okay, Von Groodle-

242.png

Grrrrrrroodle! Roll those rs, Benny-boy!

Ben.png

Grrrrwhatever! Wait, I don't recall ever telling you my name.

242.png

Well you did, now! Bahahaha! Seriously though, I have my ways! Like mind-reading!

Ben.png

Bullshit.

242.png

No bullshit about it, Benny-boy! I see everything in that head of yours and laugh at anything that tries to stop me, haha, LAUGH, I tell you! Bahaha!

Ben.png

Fine, prove it. What am I thinking of right now?

For the record, it's a Kricketune riding a bicycle. And if by some miracle he gets it...

And the answer to that, Benny-boy...

Fuck off.

You sure?! Because I'm your only way out of here!

Ben.png

...ugh, fine, it's not like I haven't been everyone else's errand boy all day. What do you want me to do?

242.png

Oh, you'll know it when you see it! I even gave you the tools for the job earlier!

Wait, what?

Welp, off you go, Benny-boy! Bon voyaaaaaaaage!

You're up, Lucy.

That's not how Metal Burst works. Metal Burst deals damage based on only the last attack against the user (even though its flavor text suggests otherwise). Therefore, Lucy's Revenankh should be dead and mine should still be alive, albeit with 1 HP. Also you forgot Bug STAB on Pin Missile.

Sorry, one more nitpick: Sableye's Counters should have gone through, since in both cases Heracross was the last Pokemon to hit it.

"Totally didn't forget. I was ummmmm on tour with... Adele! As a uh... back-up dancer and twerker. Anyway, let's go my namesake, Camilla!"

Camilla: Shadow Ball [Revenankh] -> Flamethrower [Heracross] -> Fire Blast [Heracross]
IF Heracross uses Bide, THEN start action string [Will-o-Wisp (Heracross) -> Sunny Day -> Flamethrower (Heracross)]
IF Revenankh is alive at the start of A3, THEN use Shadow Ball [Revenankh]
IF Revenankh is KOed when you would attack it, THEN target Heracross

Sableye:
Endure -> Shadow Claw [Revenankh] -> Zen Headbutt [Heracross]
IF Revenankh uses Endure, AND you are not Taunted, THEN use Will-o-Wisp that action and push back
IF Heracross uses a p/e move successfully, THEN use Feint that action and push back
IF Revenankh is KOed when you would attack it, THEN target Heracross
