Finally my mortal soul can cross the rainbow bridge into the great beyond....
This has been a long time coming, and frankly longer than I intended it to (I'm easily distracted), but I am stepping down as LC tier leader, effective immediately. Many people who know me know this has been the plan for some time, and I obviously have been inactive for a while now already.
I no longer feel I have the time or passion to devote to this role or that the tier deserves, and fortunately I leave its administration in the more-than-capable hands of tazz and Hacker. Those who know, know that I've only ever being a tiering guy anyway. Tier leader requires more of a politician than I'm willing or capable of being at this point, and it would only be unfair to the tier to continue on at my post while not meeting the high standards merited.
It's been a great honor to return to this tier six years ago, after almost a decade away, and pour my heart into competing, writing analyses, tiering, and everything else. I was never quite as good at Pokemon as I wanted to be, but I have it on Coconut's authority that you get better at mons after you stop being TL anyway, so maybe after a nice hiatus, I can finally stop being a fraud.... the jury is still out on this one. At any rate, I don't regret any of the time I've spent with this community, which is Smogon's finest, most culturally unique, and most worthy of preservation.
This is not goodbye, obviously. Even if I'm not playing mons for a while, you all know where to find me.
