1. Proof of Peak
2. Teambuilding process

I started with my fave mon, which is Gengar, and tried to make it work in this climate. My idea was to make a simple Focus Sash NP set and it works fine and gives me outs against threats in the Tier with its great coverage and Cursed Body, which can open up opportunitys for the rest of the team.

To keep the Sash intact and hazards off the field i decided to pull up the Hatt and Tusk combo, which is solid and can pressure the opposition with the sets that i'm running.

You can't say Tusk without Kingambit, so i put this bad boy on here aswell to check Ghosts and be an incredible Breaker/Win Con.

SD Bax is one of the best mons in the Tier right now and i loved SD from the beginning (I used it in conjunction with the cat). i would say that i was one of the first goons to give SD a try and it provided until now.

To give me a check to the moths and Iron Valiant i put Ceruledge on the team to form a cool Double Ghost Sash Spam combo.
3. The Team in Detail

Ability: Thermal Exchange
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Glaive Rush
- Ice Shard
- Swords Dance
As i said, Baxcalibur is a monster and hits super hard even unboosted. Never-Melt Ice is here to boost up its Ice-STAB and the Tera of choice, Ice, boosts this to insane levels. Destroying Phys Def Corv and revenging Dragapults/Roaring Moons is an amazing asset for the team. Bax beeing a one time resist to Water attacks also comes in handy. For me, this is the Bax to go, but DD and CB are still very usable.

Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 128 Def / 132 Spe
Bold Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Stored Power
- Nuzzle
- Calm Mind
The queen of yellow magic, Hazard Control and Fat Destroyer. I love the utility that Hatt brings to the team and its ability to threaten the opposing team with CM is nice aswell. If you don't like Stored Power, you can also go with Psyshock/Psychic and Mystical Fire is an option aswell. I had a successful period with CM, Draining Kiss, Psyshock and Mystical as the Moveset. The EVs are to Speed Creep 0 Speed Ting Lu and still being able to take some hits on the physical side.

Ability: Cursed Body
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Focus Blast
- Nasty Plot
The Star of the show. Gengar is my fave mon since Gen 1 and I have seen it shining in OU for such a long time and then getting robbed because it lost Levitate. NP is to boost its Power to insane Levels ( It can beat Blissey if F Miss connects) and the coverage is really good. Ghost and Fighting goes unresisted, except for H-Zoro, and Sludge Bomb is a nice STAB to fish for Poison and hit the Fairies in the game.

Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
The must have on HO, the King is here to provide. Max Speed Gambit to compete with opposing Gambits and Azu speedwise, Lefties can be exchanged for Lum/Black Glasses, but the longevity is nice as this thing is my Gholdengo/Pult scout. SD and Supreme Overlord make this thing an incredible Win Con and can turn games around if you remove the opposing answers. I chose Tera Dark for the extra power in its STAB moves, but the classic Flying worked fine, too.

Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 240 HP / 28 Atk / 172 Def / 68 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
Great Tusk is the glue of my team and keeps Offense and Defense together. Even though this is an HO team, i still pack some bulk to work with. SR, Knock and Spin are amazing utility options to have and EQ is the STAB of choice, because there are not to many Flyers in the tier right now. Helmet is good for the chip and i never missed Lefties on this. The Spd is to be faster than most opposing Defensive Tusks and the Atk investment is a 50% chance to KO incoming offensive Gholdengos (with SR up the chance is at 87.5%). Tera Water helps occasionally against Water moves, to get a spin of or to Survive a hit from Azu if needed.
Stall

Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
- Tera Blast
- Swords Dance
And here we have my Moth check, it consistently beats Volcarona and Iron Moth, checks Valiant and on top it can be a strong win con aswell. I choose to go with Flash Fire because without it Sun and the moths can be very hard to check. The boost for Bitter Blade is awesome aswell, especially if you combine it with an SD. Tera Grass with Tera Blast helps me against Tusk, Ground Moves in general and is good coverage with Bitter Blade, hitting Ting Lu, Pex and Azu hard. The Sash lets Ceru survive random hits to get a strong hit of and to setup more easily.
4. Threats
Stall
This MU is always a pain for HO but with the raw power of Bax and Supreme Overlord Gambit and a little yellow magic from Hatt it is still possible to beat this. Knock from Tusk can also be viable, Gengar can pressure Alo and Dondozo a bit. Ceruledge can shine when you get rid of the fat fish.

This mon is the nemesis of this team. You have to play really smart and don't give this thing chances to fire off free hits or even boost. The sash mons, priority and scouting its set can help in dealing with this.

Another really hard to deal with mon. If you see this you have to position right and deal with this thing as fast as possible. Chipping with Bax, Tera Ceru, Gengar and fast Gambit help in dealing with this.

Depending on the set and its Teammates, this thing can destroy my team. Bax, healthy Hatt and Tusk help in breaking its Scale, para it and see how it goes. Never give this thing a free turn to set up.
Hazards
This should be refused at all costs. If that is not possible (Glimm HO) you have to plan how to spin these away, make plays with Hatt if it's affordable or find a way and overpower before the Opp does.

6. Conclusion
Gengar is hella usable in OU! But please give it Levitate back! :(
I hope that you had fun reading this! Can't wait till the HOME mons come.
