Currently working on a casual team. I've focused it around prankster setups and stalls to provide both satisfaction and hilarity. It's probably got anlot of kinks but I'm looking to flush those out. I welcome any critique or suggestions.
Volbeat: Bold
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SPdef
Ability: Prankster
Item: Focus sash
Moveset: Tailwind, Tail Glow, Baton Pass, Encore
Volbeat excells in utility and setup and that's what he's here to do. Tailwind assures ditto outspeeds whatever he copies and tail glow turns Clefable, Sableye and Greninja into outrageous threats with the +3 damage bonus. Encore is there for harassment. The only real issue with this guy is that he is begging for a taunt.
Illumise: Bold
EVs: 252 Def / 200 SPdef / 58 HP
Ability: Prankster
Item: leftovers
Moveset: Toxic, Swagger/Confuse Ray, Wish, Protect
Illumise doesn't have access to fail glow like her brother but she can be just as much of a pest. The idea is to turn 1 swagger, turn 2 toxic. If she survives past that she can protect and wish herself back up and stall to death and if she faints then Ditto can come in and snag the swagger attack bonus without the drawback of the confusion. Since swagger is banned in competitive play it can be subbed out for confuse ray but in my casuals Swagger is the way to go.
Ditto: ???
EVs: HP
Ability: Imposter
Item: Life Orb
Moveset: ????
Imposter Ditto is one of my favorite revenge killers in this game, right up there with arena trap Dugtrio. Typically I run this Ditto with voice scarf so that I'm sure to outspeed my opponent. I've opted to switch that for life orb in this team to allow for a more secured sweep. With Volbeat bringing in tailwind the choice scarf can be dropped keeping him from locking in. This effectively turns him from being a basic revenge killer to a full blown sweeper with the proper transformation and stay boost copies.
Greninja: Hasty
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SPatk / 4 HP
Ability: Protean
Item: Expert Belt
Moveset: Surf, Ice Beam, Extrasenaory, Dark Pulse
Greninja is the primary sweeper dor this team. Protean and expert belt allows great coverage and damage output. Protean fit the feel of this team for me as the constant type changing adds a level of trickery like the Pranksters bring to the table. He's a solid threat who has an answer to most threats and with a tailglow under his belt there are few things that can even begin to check him. Nothing can resist his arsenal making him ideal since this team does lack a bit of oomph.
Sableye: Bold
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SPdef
Ability: Prankster/Magic Bounce
Item: Sabelite
Moveset: Calm Mind, Recover, Dazzling Gleam, Dark Pulse
Ah, the little gem eater and the final Prankster. Priority calm mind and recover makes it incredibly easy to set up on a sp.attacker and the EV spread gives it some fair tolerance to physical problems. The moment he goes mega there's no question about his bulk. Furthermore Gleam and Pulse give great neutral coverage nearly across the board. If he's not stopped early he will snowball and cripple the enemy ranks.
Clefable: Bold
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SPdef / 6 HP
Ability: Magic Guard
Item: flame orb
Moveset: Wish, Moonblast, Thunderbolt, trick
Bulky as all hell. Flame orb prevents sleep or para from being an issue while also allowing trick to add to the defensive abilities of Clefable by way of the burn. She's a great counter to most stallers thanks to Magic Guard and her inevitable immunities thanks the the controlled burn. Trick makes this set what it is. It turns a decent bulky pokemon into so much more. I could mention amazing coverage between thunderbolt and moonblast but those are sub par to the synergy of the guarded flame orb trick.
