[OVERVIEW]

While Girafarig may sport a rare typing and an expansive movepool, its fairly average stats, vulnerability to Pursuit, and strict competition makes it an overall very mediocre choice. Other Psychic-types such as Mesprit, Alolan Raichu, and Jynx outclass any Girafarig sets aiming to set up with Calm Mind or Nasty Plot due to having greater bulk or superior Speed tiers. Stoutland and Dodrio are also tough competition as much stronger physical Normal-type wallbreakers, with Stoutland wielding Scrappy and Dodrio easily outrunning it, and neither are weak to Pursuit.

Choice Band Girafarig can perform similarly to Stoutland, opting for immediate power with its sufficient STAB and coverage moves. Girafarig wields a Psychic-type STAB move, Sap Sipper, Trick, and a bit more speed than Stoutland, which are somewhat useful niches. Even so, Stoutland has an excellent ability in Scrappy, can Pursuit trap, and has better bulk. Other Normal-types that are faster, hit harder, and have priority like Dodrio and Kangaskhan also thoroughly outclass Girafarig.

Choice Band Girafarig can perform similarly to Stoutland, opting for immediate power with its sufficient STAB and coverage. (mention since they are faster, hit stronger, and have useful priority attacks)
