[OVERVIEW]
Glaceon is a cannon of a Pokemon that loves nothing more than to click Ice Beam and watch as even Pokemon that resist Ice get 2HKO'd. Monferno, Rapidash, Mawile, Golduck, and more are all 2HKO'd by Glaceon's powerful Ice Beam. The problem, unfortunately, is that Glaceon struggles to do much more. Despite hitting like a cannon, Glaceon's lack of Speed, a terrible movepool, and a truckload of offensive checks like Simisear all keep Glaceon from being anything more than a niche wallbreaker.

[SET COMMENTS]
Ice Beam is the go-to attack for Glaceon and should be used as often as possible due to many offensive Pokemon - even those that resist Ice - are 2HKO'd if not OHKO'd by it. As an example, Offensive Mawile has a 50% chance to get OHKO'd by Ice Beam after Stealth Rock damage, so there is little reason to use the other moves except in niche cases. Frost Breath is an alternative STAB option that always critically hits, making it useful for poking through boosted defenses from certain threats like Calm Mind Duosion and 2HKO. Shadow Ball hits two specific Ice resists in Frillish and Grumpig for much more than Ice Beam can. Hidden Power Fire takes up the fourth slot and is for hitting Klang and Bronzor, but can be swapped for Hidden Power Ground in order to better hit Fire-types like Monferno as well as Tentacool while still hitting Klang. The Speed EVs are for outspeeding base 70 Pokemon such as Natu and Tentacool, with the rest thrown into Special Attack and HP to maximize power and bulk.
Glaceon is excellent for breaking down walls but struggles to keep up with the faster offensive metagame at large. Counters for Glaceon's common offensive checks such as Monferno and Stoutland make for great teammates, and Pokemon such as Stunfisk and Torterra fill that role well. Entry hazards are also key for Glaceon's success, as they are needed for smoothing out certain calculations and due to the fact that Glaceon forces many switches thanks to its power. As such, entry hazard setters such as Dwebble and and Clefairy are good choices. Entry hazards also dig heavily into Glaceon's survivability, so hazard control options like Natu and Tentacool make for good partners. Clefairy also can spread paralysis with Thunder Wave, something that Glaceon also heavily appreciates for patching up its Speed by hampering would-be threats like Monferno and Simisear. Glaceon is also excellent for breaking down walls for other sweepers, so Pokemon that can make good use of the holes in the opponent's team such as Huntail and Rock Polish Torterra can round out an offensive core.
