Glameow

[Overview]
- Functions as a good lead with STAB Fake Out and Hypnosis.
- Reaches an impressive 19 speed, which allows it to tie or outspeed almost every pokemon.
- Is kind of inferior to Meowth, so using moves that Meowth does not have access to is the only reason you should be using Glameow. Moves that Glameow has access to include Sucker Punch and Quick Attack; this priority gives Glameow a bit more survivability than Meowth.

[Set]
name: Lead
move 1: Fake Out
move 2: Sucker Punch
move 3: U-Turn
move 4: Hypnosis / Quick Attack / Shadow Claw
item: Focus Sash / Life Orb
ability: Limber
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 20 Def / 236 Spe

[Set Comments]
- Standard Fake Out Lead. Fake Out for free damage.
- Sucker Punch allows you to deal damage to faster foes.
- U-Turn allows you to get out of an unfavorable position while racking up a little more damage.
- Hypnosis allows you to incapacitate an opponent and allow a teammate to set up. STAB Quick Attack can deal decent damage when faced with a 20 Speed foe or an enemy priority abuser. Shadow Claw is an option if you don't like bulky Ghosts, such as Frillish or Duskull.

[Additional Comments]
- Should a Life Orb be used, the HP IV should be changed to 0 for an HP stat of 19 to minimize recoil damage.
- When faced against a potential counter or a Fighting-type Pokemon lacking Mach Punch, Hypnosis can be used as a shaky tactic to incapacitate them. With the new mechanics in place, having a Pokemon asleep is as good as a dead Pokemon, so Hypnosis can prove to be useful, even with its 60% accuracy.

[Set]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Work Up
move 2: Hidden Power Fire
move 3: Return
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Limber
nature: Naive
evs: 236 Atk / 24 Def / 240 Spe

[Set Comments]
- More focused on attacking than the lead.
- Return is an obligatory STAB move that can hit quite hard, especially after a Work Up boost.
- Hidden Power Fire is a move that may seem surprising, but Return + Hidden Power Fire can actually defeat an opposing Ferroseed that thinks it can foil your plans, assuming you have acquired a Work Up boost.
- Sucker Punch allows you to deal some damage to faster Pokemon, such as Diglett and Elekid; beware of their respective priority moves, though. It also allows you to pick off some weaker Pokemon that have acquired speed boosts, such as a low-health LO Carvanha.

[Additional Comments]
- As with the Lead set, a HP IV of 0 is almost necessary. It allows for 19 HP, which is an excellent Life Orb number; however, the base power of Hidden Power will be lowered to 69 if you choose to do so.
- If a Ghost-type Pokemon switches into this set, it may not be a good idea to use Sucker Punch, thinking that your opponent will attempt to attack. Offensive Pokemon such as Misdreavus can set up a Substitute and start using Nasty Plot, while defensive Ghost-type Pokemon such as Frillish can heal themselves.

[Team Options]
- Glameow doesn't have a big need for teammates to help support it, since it mostly functions as an anti-lead. Pokemon that can eliminate Ghost- or Steel-type Pokemon are always welcome; Misdreavus is an excellent choice, being immune to Glameow's one weakness, as well as possessing moves that are super-effective against the aforementioned types. Scraggy is also a good choice, as it can hit both types of Pokemon super-effectively with one of its STABs. Lastly, Diglett can work as well, killing most Steel-types with its STAB Earthquake and dealing significant damage to Ghosts with either Night Slash or Sucker Punch.
- As Glameow functions best as an anti-lead, many Pokemon that benefit from not having rocks or spikes on the field are good teammates to pair with Glameow. Set-up sweepers that hold Focus Sashes are excellent teammates to pair with a Lead Glameow as well.

[Optional Changes]
- Return can be an option in the fourth moveslot, which can allow Glameow to actually deal some damage against enemies instead of just being an annoying lead. However, it is generally inferior to the other choices, as the priority granted by Quick Attack and the coverage granted by Shadow Claw are both superior to a more powerful move.
- Super Fang could be used to shave off half of an opponent's health, but it is generally inferior to other moves. In Little Cup, it is relatively easy to deal 50% of an opponent's health with one hit, and Ghost-type Pokemon are completely immune to the move.
- Taunt could also be used to further prevent entry hazards to be set up, but it is generally overkill, since one of the two leads will be KO'ed before long.

[Counters]
- Ferroseed completely walls Glameow, as U-Turn is the only move that can hit Tesshiido for neutral damage. Iron Barbs also forces Glameow to take extra damage, which can quickly rack up with Life Orb or make Focus Sash utterly useless.
- Fighting-typed Pokemon can also wreck Glameow pretty easily. They can live through an attack with much HP to spare and usually OHKO Glameow; some of them can even Drain Punch to heal off all damage taken.
- Priority users can also defeat Glameow with minimal effort. Though a STAB Quick Attack can hurt, let's be honest: it's not killing anything soon.

[Dream World]
- Receives Keen Eye in Dream World, which is absolutely useless in competitive play.

OK, comments are appreciated and any more set ideas are welcome.

Woops, completely forgot about this.

Updated with English names, as well as fleshing out some stuff.

Comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

needs moar hp fire

and taunt

and snatch

and knock off

and super fang

claw sharpen is cool

and work up

and...uh...

swagger-->psych up FUCK YEAH

- Is kind of inferior to Meowth, so using moves that Meowth does not have access to is the only reason you should be using Glameow.
Paralysis immune on a fast pokemon is cool.

[Counters]
- Ferroseed completely walls Glameow, as U-Turn is the only move that can hit Tesshiido for neutral damage. Iron Barbs also forces Glameow to take extra damage, which can quickly rack up with Life Orb or make Focus Sash utterly useless.

Mention Hypnosis is an unreliable way to deal with a counter.

Without Shadow Claw or Taunt, ghosts with Wow are good counters.

Dokk Mach Punches it

Meditite and Scraggy live any attack with Eviolite and Drain Punch

Scarfers not weak to Dark revenge it

delete Team Options and put some of that stuff into AC

184 Sp.A Life Orb Glameow's Hidden Power Fire v 164 / 68 Evo Stone Ferroseed: 16 - 20 (69.57% - 86.96%)

Not even an OHKO after one layer of Spikes. Running max Speed and max Sp.A give you enough EVs for only one point in Atk. Glameow is already not doing much damage with its attacks, so...

Stat-up Moves: Glameow can't really do anything with those moves. Claw Sharpen / Work Up will only be worth it after one turn of set-up and two turns of attacking. With the fast pace of Little Cup, Glameow won't have that time, probably. Swagger + Psych Up requires two turns of attacking in addition to the two turns of set-up for it to work. With +2 Attack, everything is going to be OHKOing Glameow, so it's probably not worth it. Should I make another set for attacking (Work Up, HP Fire, Return, Sucker Punch)?

Super Fang and Taunt might be useful; I'll mention that in OC.

Also, I completely forgot to c/p my Counters section over. Thanks for the reminder.

- Bulky Pokemon can also wreck Glameow pretty easily. They can live through an attack with much HP to spare and usually OHKO Glameow; some of them can even Drain Punch to heal off all damage taken.

Well that's vague.

You should probably mention boosting in AC. Or that's what I meant. Glammy is kinda outclassed in that regard, really. More than it is at other stuff.

(j/s Swagger also confuses people so they don't kill you)

- Priority users can also defeat Glameow with minimal effort. Though a STAB Quick Attack can hurt, let's be honest: it's not killing anything soon.

non-SE priority isn't OHKOing. It's not THAT terrible at defense.

(no mention of scarfers :/)

- Is kind of inferior to Meowth, so using moves that Meowth does not have access to is the only reason you should be using Glameow.

You should probably list some of these.
