[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 6 onwards

**Price Range**: 5-6 points

**Overview**: Although being without its rider leaves it at but a fraction of its full power, Glastrier's gigantic Attack stat coupled its with Ice-type STAB boost grants it immense breaking power. The fright of this mighty steed is highlighted further by its Chilling Neigh ability helping it clean up opposing teams once its checks are removed. Additionally, its impressive natural bulk gives it the opportunity to withstand and retaliate heavy hits in spite of the the weaknesses its typing brings. Nevertheless, Glastrier is ultimately a flawed Pokemon by virtue of its pitiful Speed stat alongside a poor defensive typing, including a weakness to Stealth Rock. Moreover, its near total lack of utility options forces it into the sole role of a slow nuker. These shortcomings compromise its great bulk and ability to wallbreak consistently throughout a game.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Using a Choice Band or after a Swords Dance boost Glastrier's Attack reaches astronomical heights, and it can use its STAB moves alongside coverage to punch holes through opposing teams. It can be used as a dedicated lead to soften up the opposing team effectively, as it can sponge several strong hits before going down. IronPress or Curse are also setup options that can potentially sweep through unprepared or weakened teams.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Icicle Crash, Avalanche

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Curse

**Utility Moves**: Substitute, Taunt, Roar

**Coverage**: Body Press, Close Combat, High Horsepower, Stomping Tantrum, Crunch, Throat Chop, Zen Headbutt, Heavy Slam

Niche Moves
========
**Rest**: Rest is Glastrier's only form of recovery, and its excellent bulk lets it survive multiple turns while asleep, making RestTalk and ChestoRest sets an option to overcome debilitating status and improve longevity.

**Facade**: Facade is a way of circumventing the Attack drop from burn, which otherwise weakens Glastrier's offensive power.

**Trailblaze**: Against slower Pokemon, Glastrier can leverage the Speed boost from Trailblaze to outpace them and threaten additional damage.

**Endure**: Exclusively on sets using Custap Berry, Endure lets Glastrier survive a hit to force damage.

Common Items
========
**Heavy-Duty Boots**: Setup sets really appreciate the extra longevity provided by Heavy-Duty Boots to give Glastrier more opportunities to break and survive strong attacks from opposing Pokemon.

**Choice Band**: Choice Band grants Glastrier massive immediate power, allowing it to wallbreak without a setup turn.

**Leftovers**: In games where entry hazards are not a concern or if Glastrier can Terastallize into a better defensive typing, Leftovers is an effective source of passive recovery that boosts its longevity.

Niche Items
========
**Lum Berry**: Lum Berry lets Glastrier avoid burn and poison, which otherwise might prevent it from wallbreaking or sweeping the enemy team.

**Resistance Berries**: While Glastrier's bulk lets it survive many super effective hits naturally, resistance Berries let it survive stronger hits and retaliate to net surprise KOs.

**Chesto Berry**: Alongside Rest, Chesto Berry provides one-off full recovery.

**Sitrus Berry**: Sitrus Berry lets Glastrier turn 2HKOs into 3HKOs, allowing it to survive and fire more hits off before it falls.

**Custap Berry**: By virtue of fine-tuning its bulk or through use of Endure, Custap Berry lets Glastrier suddenly outspeed foes and take a surprise KO.

**Weakness Policy**: Given Glastrier's litany of weaknesses and strong natural bulk, Weakness Policy can boost its offenses to extreme levels such that it trades efficiently.

Tera
========
Glastrier's poor defensive typing is one of its biggest weaknesses, so it really enjoys the boon of Terastallization. As it is typically priced on the middle- to low-end, it can sometimes struggle to find itself a Tera slot, given that it can be reliant on Tera and is a relatively one-dimensional Pokemon. Regardless, this frigid warhorse is worthy of a secondary Tera Captain slot. Glastrier most commonly Terastallizes into a defensive type that covers its natural weaknesses, such as Tera Fairy and Water. Tera Steel and Ground are often used to alleviate pressure from Stealth Rock. Offensively, Tera types that help Glastrier get around bulky Water- and Steel-types are useful, such as Tera Fighting, which boosts its Close Combat and Body Press, and Tera Electric, which gifts it terrifying BoltBeam coverage. Tera Fire and Ice are of note as niche options to avoid burns or gain additional power on STAB attacks, respectively.

Draft Strategy
========
Glastrier tends to be drafted by teams looking for a bulky physical wallbreaker, potentially as a secondary Tera Captain. Its reliance on Terastallization when drafted as a Tera Captain and its lack of defensive utility can make it difficult to fit onto a team, but there are some friends that complement this mighty steed.

**Entry Hazard Control**: Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock inhibits its ability to set up and break across the course of a game, so reliable entry hazard removal enables it to forgo Heavy-Duty Boots for another item. Similarly, having hazards up on the opponent's side of the field brings more Pokemon into Glastrier's KO range. Pokemon such as Great Tusk and Iron Treads are able to compress both of these roles.

**Special Attackers**: Strong special attackers like Raging Bolt and Chi-Yu lure in special walls that Glastrier can dismantle and vice versa. Special attention should be given to Electric-types who can beat the bulky Water-types that Glastrier struggles with, while it threatens the Ground- and Grass-types that can come in on their STAB attacks.

**Slow Momentum**: Given Glastrier's abysmal Speed, finding opportunities where it can come onto the field safely to wallbreak can be made easier through the use of slow pivots such as Corviknight and both Slowking formes. The latter two additionally set snow, which can boost Glastrier's Defense to help it deal more damage before going down or grant it setup opportunities.

Checks and Counters
========
**Entry Hazards**: Given Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of reliable recovery, its longevity is greatly shortened if it is not carrying Heavy-Duty Boots; it must watch out for opposing Knock Off users anyway if it wishes to maintain this effect.

**Bulky Ice-resistant Pokemon**: Although Glastrier does have coverage for most Ice-resistant Pokemon given its dreadful Speed, bulky ones such as Empoleon, Rotom-W, and Arcanine can take a hit from the horse and force it back out with super effective moves or impair it before it has a chance to move. It is also worth noting that Glastrier's sole coverage sans Terastallization for Water-types is the weak Trailblaze, making them particularly difficult to break. Foes with access to Will-O-Wisp can also neuter its wallbreaking capabilities.

**Strong Offensive Pokemon**: Any Pokemon with access to powerful super effective STAB moves against Glastrier can easily force it out by virtue of its poor Speed. Some examples include Iron Valiant, Chi-Yu, and both Urshifu formes.

**Status**: Since Glastrier is a slow physical wallbreaker lacking reliable recovery, it really hates getting worn down by Toxic poison and burn, with the former severely reducing its longevity when staying in and the latter dampening much of its damage output.

I would mention somewhere that it can really slot in as an early game lead, midgame breaker, or endgame cleaner, and that versatility itself gives Glastrier a lot of promise.

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Using a Choice Band or after a Swords Dance boost, Glastrier's Attack reaches astronomical heights, and can use its STAB alongside coverage to punch holes through opposing teams. Glastrier can also benefit from Trick Room support to enable its breaking power even further.

**Setup Sweeper**: With Swords Dance and Trailblaze, Curse, or Iron Defense and Body Press, Glastrier can become a sturdy setup threat, able to work its way through opposing teams. Chilling Neigh can help Glastrier snowball further, and Substitute can improve longevity.

**Dedicated Lead**: Mention how glast can sidestep using boots by being a dedicated lead breaker that many opposing leads struggle to take down in one or even two hits.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Icicle Crash, Avalanche

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Curse, Trailblaze

**Utility Moves**: Substitute, Taunt, Roar

**Coverage**: Body Press, Close Combat, High Horsepower, Stomping Tantrum, Crunch, Throat Chop, Zen Headbutt, Heavy Slam

Niche Moves
========
**Rest**: Glastrier's excellent bulk lets it survive multiple sleep turns and is its only form of recovery, making RestTalk or RestoChesto sets an option to overcome debilitating status and improve longevity.

**Facade**: Facade is a way of circumventing the Attack drop from burn, which otherwise weakens Glastrier's offensive power.

Common Items
========

Niche Items
========
**Leftovers**: In games where hazards are not a concern, or if Glastrier can Terastallize into a better defensive typing, Leftovers is an effective source of passive recovery that boosts Glastrier's longevity. i might consider moving this to common

**Sitrus Berry**: Discuss how Sitrus Berry can be more effective than leftovers at times if Glastrier is a dedicated lead or if it is trying to avoid a specific 2hko.

**Weakness Policy**: Again useful on dedicated lead variants, weakness policy turns Glastrier's poor defensive typing into a positive.

**Lum Berry**: Lum Berry lets Glastrier avoid a burn or toxic poison, which otherwise might prevent it from wallbreaking or sweeping the enemy team.

**Chesto Berry**: Discuss the usage of chesto conjunction with Rest.

**Custap Berry**: With endure, overcomes Glastrier's poor speed stat for one last hit, which could be useful if it has just claimed a previous KO and received a Chilling neigh boost.

**Resistance Berries**: Whilst Glastrier's bulk lets it live many super-effective hits naturally, Resistance Berries let it survive stronger hits and retaliate to net surprise KOs.

**Clear Amulet**: On setup sets that want to stay in for prolonged periods of time, Clear Amulet lets Glastrier circumvent repeated uses of Intimidate from opposing Pokemon. Would argue its useful on more than just setup sets.

Tera
========
Glastrier's poor defensive typing is one of its biggest weaknesses, and so really enjoys the boon of Terastallization. As it is typically priced on the middle to low end, it can sometimes struggle to find itself a tera slot, given that it can be reliant on Tera and is a relatively one-dimensional Pokemon. Regardless, this frigid warhorse is worthy of a secondary Tera Captain slot. Repetitive Glastrier will most commonly Terastallize into a defensive type that covers (flips?) its natural weaknesses, such as Fairy or Water, or Steel or Ground to alleviate pressure from Stealth Rocks. Offensively, tera types that help Glastrier get around the bulky Water- and Steel-types are useful, such as Fighting, which boosts Glastrier's Close Combat or Body Press, or Electric, which enables Glastrier to utilize terrifying BoltBeam coverage. Fire, Fighting and Electric, with the former two being particularly of note to become either immune to burn or gain STAB on Body Press or Close Combat to break through Steel-types. Tera Ice is also a niche option if you require additional power on STAB attacks.

Draft Strategy
========
Glastrier tends to be drafted by teams looking for a bulky physical wallbreaker, potentially as a secondary Tera Captain. Its reliance on Terastallization when drafted as a Tera Captain and lack of defensive utility can make Glastrier difficult to fit onto a team, there are some friends that complement this mighty steed.

**Entry Hazard Control**: Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock inhibits its ability to setup or break across the course of a game, so reliable hazard removal enables Glastrier to come in more often or forgo Heavy-Duty Boots for another item. Similarly, having hazards up on the opponent's side of the field brings more Pokemon into Glastrier's KO range. Pokemon such as Great Tusk and Iron Treads are able to compress both of these roles.

The latter two additionally set Snow that can boost Glastrier's Defense., Slowking, and Slowking-G, the latter two of which set Snow to boost Glastrier's defense.

Checks and Counters
========
**Bulky Ice-resistant Pokemon**: Although Glastrier does have coverage for most Ice-resistant Pokemon, given its dreadful Speed, bulky resists (examples?) can take a hit from the horse and force it back out with super-effective moves before it has a chance to move. It is also worth noting that Glastrier's sole coverage sans Terastallization for Water-types is the weak Trailblaze, making Water-types are particularly difficult for Glastrier to break, as without Tera, its only coverage to hit them is weak Trailblaze., while those with access to Will-O-Wisp can neuter its wallbreaking capabilities.

**Status**: Talk about how burn and poison wear down and weaken Glastrier.

**Strong Offensive Pokemon**: Any Pokemon with access to powerful super-effective STAB moves against Glastrier can easily force it out by virtue of its poor Speed. IHowever, if Glastrier is healthy enough, it can often survive attacks from even the strongest wallbreakers by virtue of its impressive natural bulk.

**Entry Hazards**: Given Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of reliable recovery, its longevity is greatly shortened if it is not carrying Heavy-Duty Boots, and must watch out for opposing Knock Off anyway if it wishes to maintain this effect.

qc1/2 sorry for the wait !!!

notes for amqc Addison0727 and credit given
- really good work !! :D added a lot of insightful content
- i merged most of yours with mine while providing my own comments on things
- would recommend to double check its price on our latest seasonal doc if unsure as 7-10 points is an outdated price point, very easy to miss it though
- i changed round 6 to round 7 onwards but it could honestly go both ways, it felt too early to draft round 6 but maybe too late to draft r7??? idk
- you did a generally good job in not rewriting segments and instead leaving comments which is great, some of the later comments you rewrote i would personally leave for gp
- i liked the additions to the tera section, definitely makes it read a lot better
- i kept in a lot of the niche items you added but a few of them felt like they might be bordering on too niche and might make the section look a bit bloated given its a fairly one dimensional pokemon

[overview]
**Draft Order**: Round 6 onwards Round 7 onwards

**Price Range**: 7-10 points 5-6 points reflects summer ssnl pricing

**Overview**: Although being without its rider leaves it at but a fraction of its full power, Glastrier's gigantic Attack stat coupled with Ice-type STAB grants it immense breaking power. Additionally, its Impressive natural bulk additionally gives it the opportunity to withstand and retaliate heavy hits, in spite of the the weaknesses its typing brings. Would seek to mention it's complete lack of utility rendering it only capable of functioning as a slow wallbreaker. can mention its ability to clean teams after its checks are removed thanks to chilling neigh though it is not often capable of fully sweeping

[strategy comments]
Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: Using a Choice Band or after a Swords Dance boost, Glastrier's Attack reaches astronomical heights, and can use its STAB alongside coverage to punch holes through opposing teams.

**Setup Sweeper**: With Swords Dance and Trailblaze, Curse, or Iron Defense and Body Press, Glastrier can become a sturdy setup threat, able to work its way through opposing teams. Chilling Neigh can help Glastrier snowball further, and Substitute can improve longevity.
these two categories are both essentially the same thing, i would maybe just merge these under the title of wallbreaker, and potential mention its ability to lead break also. ultimately i think the one main role a glastrier will ever be used to provide is the ability to break and KO stuff. definitely mention its ability to break under trick room like a budget ursaluna

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Icicle Crash, Avalanche

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Curse, Trailblaze i just think its too slow for trailblaze to ever be worth running

**Utility Moves**: Substitute, Taunt, Roar

**Coverage**: Body Press, Close Combat, High Horsepower, Stomping Tantrum, Crunch, Throat Chop, Zen Headbutt, Heavy Slam

Niche Moves
========

========

Niche Items
========
**Leftovers**: In games where hazards are not a concern, or if Glastrier can Terastallize into a better defensive typing, Leftovers is an effective source of passive recovery that boosts Glastrier's longevity. probably move to common imo

**Sitrus Berry**: sitrus berry is just kinda broken on guys that are fat enough to get 2hko'd by strong hits as it can turn them into 3hkos

**Weakness Policy**: it's fat enough to live, and weak enough to enough types for weakness policy to be good, i'd recommend this on lead breaking sets in particular where it can trade 1for1 or even 1for2

**Chesto Berry**: since rest is in niche moves

**Custap Berry**: glastrier's large bulk can be fine tuned to barely avoid certain 1 or 2hko thresholds putting it in range of custap, its weakness to rocks can also help with positioning it to get it into range allowing it to surprise kill a faster foe

**Resistance Berries**: can let it take a surprise hit and trade back

Tera
========
Glastrier will most commonly Terastallize into a defensive type that covers its natural weaknesses, such as Fairy or Water, or Steel or Ground to alleviate pressure from Stealth Rocks. sentence structure reads funky over the types being listed, im not sure how to fix it though, perhaps break fairy+water and steel+ground into two different sentences? Offensively, tera Tera types that help Glastrier get around the bulky Water- and Steel-types are useful, such as Fighting, which boosts Glastrier's Close Combat or Body Press, or Electric, which enables Glastrier to utilize terrifying BoltBeam coverage. Fire, Fighting and Electric, with the former two being particularly of note to become either immune to burn or gain STAB on Body Press or Close Combat to break through Steel-types. The latter two additionally set Snow that can boost Glastrier's Defense. maybe expand on the snow section of this a tiny bit more to emphasise how well they synergise

Checks and Counters
========
**Bulky Ice-resistant Pokemon**: Although Glastrier does have coverage for most Ice-resistant Pokemon, given its dreadful Speed, bulky resists such as... (few examples here) can take a hit from the horse and force it back out with super-effective moves before it has a chance to move. **Entry Hazards**: Given Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of reliable recovery, its longevity is greatly shortened if it is not carrying Heavy-Duty Boots, and must watch out for opposing Knock Off anyway if it wishes to maintain this effect. move this to the top

alright, QC1 actioned! I kept Clear Amulet in as I have used that item a couple times on Glastrier when I had it as a Tera cap quite effectively, but niche items do look rather long right now, not sure what should be cut down on that.

tysm for the comments, and ready for QC2!

Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: This warhorse loves to wallbreak. Using a Choice Band or after a Swords Dance boost, Glastrier's Attack reaches astronomical heights, and can use its STAB alongside coverage to punch holes through opposing teams. Teams with Trick Room support can reverse Glastrier's abysmal speed for deadly effect, and using Glastrier as a dedicated lead can soften up the opposing team effectively as it can sponge several strong hits before going down. Iron Defense and Body Press or Curse are also setup options that can potentially sweep through unprepared or weakened teams. Since it can't set trick room itself, mentioning it is too niche

Common Moves

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Curse

**Utility Moves**: Substitute, Taunt, Roar

**Coverage**: Body Press, Close Combat, High Horsepower, Stomping Tantrum, Crunch, Throat Chop, Zen Headbutt, Heavy Slam

Assault Vest is good for checking special attackers - it still has great coverage regardless

I'd include chip damage as a whole - it can get chipped down by pivoting, status, etc & struggles healing back up. Could maybe just say status instead though (specifically burn/poison)

Additionally, its impressive natural bulk gives it the opportunity to withstand and retaliate heavy hits (RC) in spite of the the weaknesses its typing brings. Nevertheless, Glastrier is ultimately a flawed Pokemon by virtue of its pitiful Speed stat alongside a poor defensive typing, including a weakness to Stealth Rock. Moreover, its near total lack of utility options forces Glastrier it into the sole role of a slow nuker. These shortcomings compromise its its great bulk and ability to wallbreak consistently throughout a game (RC) although that's not to say Glastrier can't send chills down your enemy's spine.

Common Roles
========
**Wallbreaker**: This warhorse loves to wallbreak (RP) Using a Choice Band or after a Swords Dance boost, Glastrier's Attack reaches astronomical heights, and it can use its STAB moves alongside coverage to punch holes through opposing teams. Glastrier It can be used as a dedicated lead to soften up the opposing team effectively, (AC) as it can sponge several strong hits before going down. Iron Defense IronPress and Body Press or Curse are also setup options that can potentially sweep through unprepared or weakened teams.

Common Moves
========
**Primary STAB Moves**: Icicle Crash, Avalanche

**Setup Moves**: Swords Dance, Iron Defense, Curse

**Utility Moves**: Substitute, Taunt, Roar

**Coverage**: Body Press, Close Combat, High Horsepower, Stomping Tantrum, Crunch, Throat Chop, Zen Headbutt, Heavy Slam

Niche Moves
========
**Rest**: Rest is Glastrier's only form of recovery, and its excellent bulk lets it survive multiple sleep turns and is its only form of recovery while asleep, making RestTalk or RestoChesto and ChestoRest sets an option to overcome debilitating status and improve longevity. reordered the first two points cause it didnt really read well before

========

**Leftovers**: In games where entry hazards are not a concern (RC) or if Glastrier can Terastallize into a better defensive typing, Leftovers is an effective source of passive recovery that boosts Glastrier's its longevity.

Niche Items
========
**Lum Berry**: Lum Berry lets Glastrier avoid a burn or toxic and poison, which otherwise might prevent it from wallbreaking or sweeping the enemy team.

**Resistance Berries**: Whilst While Glastrier's bulk lets it live survive many super-effective super effective hits naturally, resistance Berries let it survive stronger hits and retaliate to net surprise KOs.

Tera
========
Glastrier's poor defensive typing is one of its biggest weaknesses, and so it really enjoys the boon of Terastallization. As it is typically priced on the middle- to low end low-end, it can sometimes struggle to find itself a Tera slot, given that it can be reliant on Tera and is a relatively one-dimensional Pokemon. Regardless, this frigid warhorse is worthy of a secondary Tera Captain slot. Glastrier will most commonly Terastallize Terastallizes into a defensive type that covers its natural weaknesses, such as Tera Fairy or and Water. Tera Steel or and Ground are often used to alleviate pressure from Stealth Rocks Rock. Offensively, Tera types that help Glastrier get around the bulky Water- and Steel-types are useful, such as Tera Fighting, which boosts Glastrier's its Close Combat or and Body Press, or and Tera Electric, which gifts it terrifying BoltBeam coverage. Tera Fire and Ice are of note as niche options to avoid burns or gain additional power on STAB attacks, (AC) respectively.

Draft Strategy
========
Glastrier tends to be drafted by teams looking for a bulky physical wallbreaker, potentially as a secondary Tera Captain. Its reliance on Terastallization when drafted as a Tera Captain and its lack of defensive utility can make Glastrier it difficult to fit onto a team, but there are some friends that complement this mighty steed.

**Entry Hazard Control**: Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock inhibits its ability to setup or set up and break across the course of a game, so reliable entry hazard removal enables Glastrier it to come in more often or forgo Heavy-Duty Boots for another item. coming in more often is implied with the note about boots Similarly, having hazards up on the opponent's side of the field brings more Pokemon into Glastrier's KO range. Pokemon such as Great Tusk and Iron Treads are able to compress both of these roles.

**Special Attackers**: Strong special attackers like Raging Bolt and Chi-Yu lure in special walls which that Glastrier can dismantle, (AC) and vice versa. Special attention should be given to Electric-types who that can beat the bulky Water-types which that Glastrier struggles with, while Glastrier it threatens the Ground- and Grass-types that can come in on their STAB attacks.

**Slow Momentum**: Given Glastrier's abysmal Speed, finding opportunities where it can come onto the field safely to wallbreak can be made easier through the use of slow pivots such as Corviknight and both Slowking formes. The latter two additionally set snow, (AC) which that can boost Glastrier's Defense which helps Glastrier to help it deal more damage before going down (RC) or grant it setup opportunities.

Checks and Counters
========
**Entry Hazards**: Given Glastrier's weakness to Stealth Rock and lack of reliable recovery, its longevity is greatly shortened if it is not carrying Heavy-Duty Boots (RC) and; (ASC) it must watch out for opposing Knock Off users anyway if it wishes to maintain this effect.

**Bulky Ice-resistant Pokemon**: Although Glastrier does have coverage for most Ice-resistant Pokemon (RC) given its dreadful Speed, bulky resists ones such as Empoleon, Rotom-Wash Rotom-W, and Arcanine can take a hit from the horse and force it back out with super-effective super effective moves or impair it before it has a chance to move. It is also worth noting that Glastrier's sole coverage sans Terastallization for Water-types is the weak Trailblaze, making Water-types them particularly difficult for Glastrier to break (RC) while those . (AP) Foes with access to Will-O-Wisp can also neuter its wallbreaking capabilities.

**Strong Offensive Pokemon**: Any Pokemon with access to powerful super-effective super effective STAB moves against Glastrier can easily force it out by virtue of its poor Speed. Some examples include Iron Valiant, Chi-Yu, and both Urshifu formes.

**Status**: Since Glastrier is a slow physical wallbreaker lacking reliable recovery, it really hates getting worn down by Toxic poison or and burn, with the former severely reducing its longevity when staying in (RC) and the latter dampening much of its damage output.
