Toxic Debris can place immense pressure on a team if the Toxic Spikes aren't cleared, as the mix of Stealth Rock and poison damage can add up quickly. Glimmet is often tasked with checking Vullaby, setting up Stealth Rock and threatening it with Power Gem. Mud Shot complements Glimmet's STAB moves, giving it a way to hit Pokemon such as Alolan Diglett and opposing Glimmet for super effective damage. The speed drop can help Glimmet set up Stealth Rock or deal additional damage. Tera Ghost makes Glimmet immune to Mienfoo's High Jump Kick and allows Glimmet to escape trapping from Gothita. Ground-types like Mudbray and Alolan Diglett are very threatening to Glimmet, so having a Grass-type teammate like Grookey is valuable. In return, Glimmet is able to assist Pokemon weak to Vullaby like the aforementioned Grookey and Mienfoo.
