[SET]
Divine Retribution (Extreme Killer) (Arceus) @ Silk Scarf / Life Orb / Lum Berry
Ability: Multitype
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal / Ghost
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Swords Dance / Dragon Dance
- Shadow Claw / Earthquake / Grass Knot
- Recover / Grass Knot
[SET COMMENTS]
* Arceus has arrived to take its rightful place as the undisputed king of Battle Stadium Singles, unleashing the true power of Extreme Speed in ways Dragonite could only dream of.
* **Swords Dance versus Dragon Dance**: Swords Dance allows Arceus to boost its Attack to near unwallable levels with just one turn, while Dragon Dance grants it a Speed boost to better make use of its coverage moves.
* **Shadow Claw**: Shadow Claw allows Arceus to break through otherwise problematic Ghost-types such as Calyrex-S and Flutter Mane.
* **Earthquake**: Earthquake doesn't threaten Ghost-types as much as Shadow Claw, but it allows Arceus to hit other problematic foes such as Archaludon much harder.
* **Grass Knot**: Grass Knot is great for making quick work of Dondozo, which is otherwise a fantastic foil to most setup sweepers.
Other options
======
* **Taunt**: Taunt allows Arceus to prevent its targets from recovering off its hits, making it much harder for bulkier teams to deal with.
Items
=====
* **Silk Scarf**: Silk Scarf is perhaps the most sensible item for Arceus, boosting the already unfathomable power of its Extreme Speed with no downsides whatsoever.
* **Life Orb**: While the recoil can be annoying, Life Orb provides a boost to all of Arceus's attacks, making it an even more potent cleanup artist.
* **Lum Berry**: Lum Berry grants Arceus more freedom in finding opportunities to set up by shrugging off otherwise ruinous status like burns from the likes of Ho-Oh, allowing for more liberal use of Arceus throughout the game.
* **Mental Herb**: Mental Herb is useful as a last resort against Encore Calyrex-S.
Tera Types
======
* **Tera Dependency - Low**: Arceus will almost never need to terastallize, but it does nonetheless make fantastic use of terastallization.
* **Normal**: Tera Normal Arceus is a sweeper of unmatched magnitude, performing astonishing feats of power such as 2HKOing maximum HP Ho-Oh.
* **Ghost**: While Tera Ghost offers limited offensive utility, it shines as a defensive Tera option by granting Arceus an immunity to Extreme Speed from opposing Arceus as well as the many Fighting-type attacks aimed at it, such as Koraidon's Close Combat.
* **Fire**: Tera Fire hampers Arceus's defensive utility somewhat but gives it a valuable immunity to burn, allowing it much more freedom against bulkier teams.
EV Spreads
=======
* **212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spe with Adamant**: This Spread maximizes power while letting Arceus outspeed up to Jolly Dragonite.
* **140 HP / 252 Atk / 108 Spe with Adamant**: Dragon Dance variants of Arceus should consider investing more into Speed to more liberally use their non-Extreme Speed moves; this spread lets Arceus outspeed up to Calyrex-S after a boost and Choice Scarf users such as Koraidon at +2.
* **4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe with Jolly**: Using max Speed sacrifices the power and survivability of slower spreads to make the most of Arceus’s incredible auxiliary movepool.
