goat -mz
[OVERVIEW]

Gogoat faces major competition from other defensive Grass-types in the metagame such as Tangela and Roselia. Gogoat suffers from four-moveslot syndrome, leaving it unable to hit Poison-types such as Skuntank and Muk if it chooses to run Rock Slide or unable to pressure Flying- and Bug-type Pokemon such as Dodrio, Oricorio-G, and Scyther if it chooses to run Earthquake. Additionally, Gogoat is somewhat weak without boosts and is very slow, leaving it vulnerable to status moves and revenge killers.

[SET]
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Horn Leech
move 3: Earthquake / Rock Slide
move 4: Milk Drink
item: Leftovers
ability: Sap Sipper
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

This set attempts to function as a bulky setup sweeper utilizing Bulk Up and reliable recovery in Milk Drink. However, Gogoat's inability to deal with both Poison-types and Bug- and Flying-types at the same time as well as its low speed limit its viability as a bulky setup sweeper. Gogoat competes heavily with other defensive Grass-types such as Tangela and Roselia, the former of which has the ability Regenerator and the latter of which has higher Special Defense and a secondary Poison typing. They are also able to provide more utility such as with Sleep Powder and Spikes.

Not QC, but apparently Gogoat DOES get Rock Slide. I'm wondering why exactly it isn't used on this set. A lot of Grass checks in the meta get hit super effectively by Rock-type coverage (more so than those that get KOed by EQ), and if you're gonna use a Gogoat, you might as well give it the best coverage possible.

It simply doesn't have room for it. You need EQ to hit steel and poison types. Regardless of which one you run, Gogoat is gonna have trouble with some common threats in the meta.

Gogoat faces major competition from other defensive Grass-types in metagame such as Tangela. Gogoat's shallow movepool makes it unable to pressure Flying- or Bug-type Pokemon such as Dodrio, Oricorio-G, and Scyther(change this if u add rock slide to a more general statement like 'it has to choose what to wall it'). Additionally, Gogoat is somewhat weak without boosts and is very slow, leaving it vulnerable to status-moves and revenge killers.(maybe also something about its high hp but low defenses)

[SET]
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Horn Leech
move 3: Earthquake(saw the above post, and might as well slash with rock slide imo)
move 4: Milk Drink
item: Leftovers
ability: Sap Sipper
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD

This set attempts to function as a bulky setup sweeper.(mention its reliable recovery) However, Gogoat's inability to deal with Bug- or Flying- types(again if u add rock slide change this) limits its viability as a bulky setup sweeper. Other defensive grass-types such as Tangela and Roselia are also able to provide more utility such as Status (specify)and Spikes respectively.

However, Gogoat's inability to deal with both Poison and Bug- or Flying- types at the same time limits its viability as a bulky setup sweeper (reiterate its poor speed here). Other defensive grass-types such as Tangela and Roselia are also able to provide more utility such as Sleep Powder and Spikes respectively (mention other things that make them better defensively. abilities, latter's dual typing, etc).
