Golurk finds its niche in NU thanks to both its defensive typing, being one of the few Stealth Rock users that can double as a Fighting-type check, and its sheer offensive prowess due to its high Attack and wide array of coverage moves. Heat Crash + Stone Edge is best used when running No Guard and offers heavy damage against Eldegoss, Rotom-S, and Rotom-F, which also have a chance to be OHKOed if Golurk has Life Orb. On the other hand, Ice Punch + Shadow Punch is preferred on Iron Fist sets so Golurk can prevent Flapple from switching in and threaten a 2HKO on Cofagrigus and Hattrem while still 2HKOing Eldegoss. Close Combat can be run to 2HKO Piloswine and OHKO Silvally-Dark but otherwise offers redundant coverage. Colbur Berry should be chosen if Golurk is expected to act as a primary Fighting-type switch-in, allowing it to take Toxicroak's and Sawk's Knock Offs, while Life Orb is an alternative that increases damage dealt at the expense of bulk.

Because Golurk doesn't offer much in terms of defense utility as a Stealth Rock setter, Wishiwashi makes an excellent partner, taking on the Silvally formes that a Stealth Rock user would usually cover; other physical walls such as Garbodor and Eldegoss help to pick up defensive slack as well. Other Water-types such as Silvally-Water and Lanturn also appreciate Golurk luring in and KOing Eldegoss. Sweepers and cleaners such as Silvally-Dragon and Togedemaru appreciate Golurk's ability to get up Stealth Rock versus almost any team while providing heavy offensive pressure. Choice Scarf Rotom-S and Togedemaru can revenge kill wallbreakers such as Abomasnow and Flapple that prey on Golurk and appreciate its Stealth Rock support and wallbreaking.

Golurk finds its niche in NU due to both its defensive typing, being one of the few Stealth Rockers that can double as a Fighting resist, as well as its sheer offensive prowess due to its high attack and wide array of coverage moves. The choice between Heat Crash and Ice Punch is mainly down to which ability is chosen, with Heat Crash offering heavy damage against Eldegoss, giving a chance to OHKO with Life Orb, while Ice Punch offers an OHKO on Flapple and better neutral coverage (Flapple is a tough example given that it would only be hit by Golurk while it switches in, so i'd consider rephrasing to emphasize that Ice Punch doesnt let flapple come in, or pick another example) . Shadow Punch allows Golurk to threaten a 2hko on Cofagrigus and Hattrem while Stone Edge threatens an OHKO on offensive Rotom-Fan and Rotom-Frost. No Guard is excellent for increasing the reliability of Stone Edge, while Iron Fist brings Ice Punch and Shadow Punch up to respectable power. Colbur Berry should be chosen if Golurk is expected to act as a primary Fighting resist, allowing it to take Toxicroak's Dark Pulse and Sawk's Knock Off, while Life Orb brings Rotom-Fan and Eldegoss into KO range at the expense of bulk.

(new paragraph)Because Golurk doesn't offer much in terms of defenses as a Stealth Rocker, Wishiwashi makes an excellent partner, taking on the Silvally formes that a Stealth Rocker would usually cover (try expanding this point to general physical pivots / walls like wishi, goss, and garb). Other Water-types such as Silvally-Water and Lanturn both also appreciate Golurk luring in and KOing Eldegoss. Aside from that sweepers and cleaners such as Silvally-Dragon and Togedemaru appreciate Golurk's ability to get up Stealth Rock vs almost any team while providing offensive pressure (SR on anything is true to sand and pilo maybe even more than golurk, so emphasize its power)
(Mention that revenge killers such as Rapidash and Rotom-S can help gain momentum / an edge on wallbreakers like Abomasnow, Gourgeist-S, and Flapple that are faster than and 1HKO Golurk)

Golurk finds its niche in NU due to both its defensive typing, being one of the few Stealth Rockers that can double as a Fighting resist, (immune to fighting, so either check or immunity is fine) as well as its sheer offensive prowess due to its high attack and wide array of coverage moves. Colbur Berry should be chosen if Golurk is expected to act as a primary Fighting resist, allowing it to take Toxicroak's Dark Pulse don't most of them run shadow ball now? i'd mention something else imo and Sawk's Knock Off, while Life Orb brings Rotom-Fan and Eldegoss into KO range at the expense of bulk.

Golurk finds its niche in NU due thanks (rep) to both its defensive typing, being one of the few Stealth Rockers Rock users that can double as a Fighting-type check, as well as and ('both' takes 'and' but not 'as well as') its sheer offensive prowess due to its high Attack and wide array of coverage moves. The choice between Heat Crash and Ice Punch is mainly down to which ability is chosen, with Heat Crash offering heavy damage against Eldegoss, giving a chance to OHKO with Life Orb, while Ice Punch can prevent Flapple from switching in, while still offering a 2HKO on Eldegoss. Shadow Punch allows Golurk to threaten a 2hko on Cofagrigus and Hattrem while Stone Edge threatens an OHKO on offensive Rotom-Fan and Rotom-Frost. (the ideas were not presented consistently here. the order deviated from the set, and the main thought of "down to which ability is chosen" was not justified) Heat Crash + Stone Edge is best used when running No Guard and offers heavy damage against Eldegoss, Rotom-S, and Rotom-F, which also have a chance to be OHKOed if Golurk has Life Orb. On the other hand, Ice Punch + Shadow Punch is preferred on Iron Fist sets so Golurk can prevent Flapple from switching in and threaten a 2HKO on Cofagrigus and Hattrem while still 2HKOing Eldegoss. Close Combat can be run to 2HKO Piloswine and OHKO Silvally-Dark (swap OHKO > 2HKO), however but otherwise offers otherwise redundant coverage. No Guard is excellent for increasing the reliability of Stone Edge, while Iron Fist brings Ice Punch and Shadow Punch up to respectable power. Colbur Berry should be chosen if Golurk is expected to act as a primary Fighting resist Fighting-type switch-in, allowing it to take Toxicroak's and Sawk's Knock Offs, while Life Orb is an alternative that brings Rotom-Fan Rotom-S and Eldegoss into KO range at the expense of bulk. (you can keep LO statement, but drop rewrite's first "which" phrase. redundant otherwise)

Because Golurk doesn't offer much in terms of defenses as a Stealth Rocker Rock setter, Wishiwashi makes an excellent partner, taking on the Silvally formes that a Stealth Rocker Rock user would usually cover; (C -> SC) other physical walls such as Garbodor and Eldegoss help to pick up defensive slack as well. Other Water-types such as Silvally-Water and Lanturn both also that appreciate Golurk luring in and KOing Eldegoss are also nice to have. Choice Scarf Rotom-Fan Rotom-S and Choice Scarf Togedemaru can revenge kill the wallbreakers such as Abomasnow and Flapple that prey on Golurk and appreciate its Stealth Rock support and wallbreaking.

(the ideas were not presented consistently here. the order deviated from the set, and the main thought of "down to which ability is chosen" was not justified yeah these changes are good and bring into line some of the structural issues this paragraph has) Heat Crash + Stone Edge is best used when running No Guard and offers heavy damage against Eldegoss, Rotom-S, and Rotom-F, which also have a chance to be OHKOed if Golurk has Life Orb. On the other hand, Ice Punch + Shadow Punch is preferred on Iron Fist sets so Golurk can prevent Flapple from switching in and threaten a 2HKO on Cofagrigus and Hattrem while still 2HKOing Eldegoss. (you can keep LO statement, but drop rewrite's first "which" phrase. redundant otherwise not sure what this means tbh but i generalized the statement more to avoid redundancies with those examples being mentioned)
