This is my OU team, and it revolves around clearing the field for a CM Latias sweep
At a glance :
Team Building Process:
I want to center my team around Latias
Latias is weak to Ghost, Dragon, Ice, and Bug. Scizor can knock all of those out immediately, as well as being a huge threat
Now I want someone who can set up rocks and cover Scizors fire weakness, so Swampert is my best bet.
Now, Swampert has a 4x grass weak, and I want a wall breaker than resists Grass. I have to decide between Heatran and Salamence, but ultimately I choose Salamence.
Now, I want a set-up pokemon that isn't afraid of Blissey/Hippodown/Skarmory. Bulky-Gyara is my best bet.
Now, for my final pokemon, I want a pokemon that has good synergy with the rest of my team, as well as being able to dish out status. It's between Celebi, Jirachi, and Slowbro. Ultimately, I choose Jirachi because Celebi gives me another Ice Weak, and Slowbro isn't as much of a team player as Jirachi.
