Introduction:
With XY having been just released, it's time to celebrate the good old days of RBY. Which, crazy as it may seem, came out before even some of our current forum members were born.
Even better, RBY is now playable on PS, meaning most people should have access to it. (The only "major" bug as of right now with RBY is a Counter glitch afaik). This means that we should have plenty of people able to sign up.
You are still allowed to use NetBattle if you and your opponent would like too, and I believe PO has a working RBY sim as well if you wanna battle there too but I'm not sure on any glitches there.
Tournament Rules:
- This is a Best of Three standard RBY OU tournament.
- No GSC tradebacks.
- You are not allowed to use Mewtwo or Mew.
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same Pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
- Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing Pokémon.
- Freeze Clause: A player cannot freeze two or more different opposing Pokémon.
- Evasion Clause: A player cannot increase their Pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Indirect boosts do not break this clause.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use moves that have a chance of instantly KOing an opposing Pokémon. For example, Horn Drill is an illegal move to have on a Pokémon's move set.
