I have made a team which has been working quite well, but for some reason I just can't win. Whether its lucario's lack of bulk or the florges that reck me, it is usually one of the two.
Shaymin @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Seed Flare
- Air Slash
- Earth Power
- Rest
I chose shaymin over many other special attackers for a few reasons. The stab seed flare is amazingly powerful, plus has a 40% chance at lowering SpD which can ruin walls. Rest secures health and then you swap it out for instant recovery of sleep. Earth power and Air slash provide very good coverage.
Shaymin's grass typing also walls some common threats such as hippowdon or galvantula.
Blastoise-Mega @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Mega Launcher
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Aura Sphere
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Pretty standard b mega set. Physically defensive wall for me. aura sphere for pesky dark types plus the ability bonus. Scald for the burn is more important than water pulse IMO. Ice beam for haunchkrow or other flying pokemon. He also serves as a crucial spinner for my team. I need to keep rocks away for haunchkrow to have a chance. Also gets rid of the common lead galvantula sticky web. He has enough bulk to resist most hits too.
Rotom-Heat @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Trick
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
Rotom Heat is my scarfer. He has trick to ruin florges or espeon or such. Overheat is very powerful stab and can do a ton of damage. volt switch for a quick get away. Choice wilo is great for immediately ruining any physical pokemon. This guy also servers as my anti ground because of levitate. And I usually lead with the guy as the volt switch can usually get me into the right pokemon ASAP.
Honchkrow @ Leftovers
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Substitute
Honchkrow over other physical attackers was a tough choice. I didn't want another dragon type on my team. Plus the dark helps with all psychic types. The sub roost combo can keep it away from wilo's and can allow for an easy kill if you make them swap out. The roost heals brave bird and sub damage. Sucker punch is crucial priority and stab. Great for metagross. And if you get a kill with it the moxie sucker punch can be tough to stop.
Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
Assault vest goodra is an amazing special wall. Only real weakness is hydreigon and florges, Which this team already has some stops for. Flamethrower can deal with some bug types and shaymin; while thunderbolt is good for flying types or blastoise for example. Sludge bomb can get out poisons pretty reliably and deals a little more damage to florges if you get stuck with it. The stab draco can pretty easily injure a pokemon to no use, but you gotta swap out to get rid of the SpA drop, so I use it sparingly. Plus sap sipper is anti shaymin.
Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Drain Punch
Finally, lucario is fun and a great set up sweeper. The extreme speed is a good check to suckerpunch and bullet punch. It can easily revenge pokemon too. Plus if you know your opponent is swapping, set up a SD and spam the drain punch. that will counteract the life orb recoil and any residual damage. You can't really swap this guy in though as his bulk is shit. He can't really touch ghost types either.
Shaymin @ Life Orb
