First off, this is a WiFi team for Pokemon Platinum. I say this because I don't want a million posts saying to put in some egg move because it's not possible. It's not shoddy, so I can't simply type in a move an get it.
Anyway, now for my team:
Lead: Multiple Options
Why that title? Because I have 3 options for lead here, but Metagross works the best.
1. Metagross @ Lum Berry
Adamant, 252 Hp/236 Atk/12 Def/8 Spe
Stealth Rock
Explosion
Earthquake
Bullet Punch.
Metagross's main purpose is to set up Stealth Rock (mostly to annoy Salamence). Lum Berry makes sure that it can get off it's S-Rock. After using Stealth Rock, Bullet Punch is my Main choice because of its STAB and priority, although it can usually get off a few EQ's before Exploding. Sometimes I use a Jirachi (252 Att/252 Speed/6 HP : Stealth Rock/Thunderpunch/Ice Punch/U-Turn) to replace it, but either one works fine. Metagross is usually my main choce because it can Take out at least 1, maybe 2 pokemon to start the battle (although Jirachi is more useful to switch out and back in). Ninjask can also be used, but is much more of a risk. Using Ninjask can make Scizor nearly unstoppable.
Attacker #1: The Never-Used OU
I've done over 50 OU battles and I've seen Gyarados twice. Appearently it's Electric weakness scares people too much.
2. Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant, 252 Attack/252 Speed
Dragon Dance
Ice Fang
Earthquake
Waterfall
My Teams most effective Pokemon. This will usually start out with a D-Dance, then it gets a good-effective hit on almost all 493 Pokemon (Except Shedinja and Surskit). Most likely on my Team to Sweep other Teams. Life Orb is a good item that ensures many KO's, but can sometimes backfire and has even caused me to have a draw in one battle.
Special Attacker #1: Absorb the Lightning
Oh no, they sent out Electivire against Gyarados. What should I do?
3. Jolteon @ *Ground-Resistant* Berry
Timid, 252 Sp.Att/252 Speed
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Signal Beam
Wish
Jolteon uses its rediculously high speed and high Sp.Attsck stat to tale out a few Pokemon and help my next pokemon recover from a Possible Stealth Rock or Spikes. Signal Beam's purpose is to take down Tyranitar and Grass-type pokes like Venusuar. Shadow Ball takes care of most Psychic Pokemon, and Thunderbolt gives Jolteon a powerful STAB attack. It's held item (a Berry whose name I forget) allows Joltoen to survive an Earthquake attack from almost every Pokemon, which Joltoen can then either KO or use Wish to heal the next battler. Jolteon is also very usueful because of its ability, which allows me to switch out Gyarados from an obvious Electric Attack and gain back HP los from previous battling or Stealth Rock.
Special Attacker #2: Calm Mind
A wall? A special Sweeper? Latias can help
4. Latias @ Leftovers
Timid, 252 Sp.Att/252 Speed
Dragon Pulse
Surf
Calm Mind
Recover
My Team's best Special Attacker. First uses Calm Mind, then uses Surf and Dragon Pulse to systematically destroy the opponent. Recover allows it to get back some HP after its taken a few hits. Leftovers makes this Pokemon pretty hard for people to beat. It's been proven very hard to taken down, surviving even with double=power Avalanches from Swampert.
Attacker #2: Bugs Bad? Not this one!
Scizor can sweep entire teams easily.
5. Scizor @ Muscle Band
Adamant, 252 Att/252 Speed/6 HP
Swords Dance
Bug Bite
Bullet Punch
Aerial Ace
Everyone knows what this will do, right? Swords Dance, then Bullet Punch away. Bug Bite is chosen here over X-Scissor because of it's 135 Power (all boosts included) which will usually take out anything that doesn't resist it. The best Counter to this set is Skarmory, but Latias can Calm Mind all over Skarmory, and Starmie will also take out large chucks of it's HP (Jolteon works too). Aerial Ace is there to take out Fighting types (which are commonly used to Counter Scizor because people forget it doesn't have weakness to fighting) and also gives it another strong attack. Aerial Ace also is good against Umbreon who will try to Mean Look then Destroy my accuracy with Flash. It's Bullet Punch is very powerful, as without a Swords Dance boost, it can take out 1/2 of Dragonite's HP.
Special Attacker 3: The battles not over yet.
Starmie never disappoints. Never.
6. Starmie @ Life Orb
Timid, 252 Sp.Att/252 Speed
Thunderbolt
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Usually the last Pokemon I send into battle. although its Sp.Attack is the lowest attacking stat, it's Life Orb makes up the difference. It can survive an attack from powerful Attackers like Latias after taking damage from Spikes and Stealth Rock, and can take Latias down with two Ice Beams. It has great type coverage (like all of my attackers) and has good enough defense to survive two or three non-super effective hits and Recover the lost HP. Very few times I have replaced this with Heatran w/ Choice Scarf to absorb fire attacks for Scizor, but I've seen that Starmie usually does much better.
This team has been Battle-tested, with a Record of 18-3-2. The three losses weren't very close though, 0-5, 0-3, and 0-4, but it can beat some quality teams. Both Draws were caused by Life Orb, once from my Gyarados and again from an opponent's Ambipom.
Any Help is Appreciated.
