* Haban Berry Gouging Fire's main purpose is to defeat other Dragon-types such as opposing Gouging Fire, non-Haban Berry Regidrago, and Haban Berry Raging Bolt, in addition to having a fantastic matchup into most Steel- and Grass-types of the tier.
* Flare Blitz hits Steel- and Grass-types like Corviknight, Metagross, Serperior, and non-Occa Berry Whimsicott.
* Outrage serves as an answer for Raging Bolt, opposing Gouging Fire, and non-Haban Berry Regidrago.
* Scale Shot, while defeating SubSeed Pokemon like Ogerpon-W, can also beat opposing Haban Berry Dragon-type Pokemon like opposing Gouging Fire. It's also useful for Dragon-types with Substitute like Speed Booster Energy Roaring Moon, but most of the time Scale Shot's Defense drop can be a cause for concern, so it's usually better to use Outrage unless necessary.
* Dragon Dance can be used to outspeed and KO most fast threats like Meowscarada and Greninja, while Burning Bulwark can deal with Choice Scarf Unnerve Haxorus.
* Its Speed EVs allow it to outspeed non-Choice Scarf Regidrago and Hoopa-U, with enough EVs in bulk to take a Dragon Energy from Modest Choice Scarf Regidrago and a three-hit Scale Shot from Choice Band Regidrago. The remaining EVs are invested in Attack.
* If the opposing Regidrago is supposedly a Choice Band set, Haban Berry Gouging Fire should always Dragon Dance the first turn, as three hits from Scale Shot fail to KO it. However, if Regidrago supposedly has a Haban Berry, it's better to use Scale Shot, as it can't outspeed Gouging Fire with its own Scale Shot, which can use Outrage on the following turn.
* Most Haban Berry Gouging Fire teams are built around the fact that Gouging Fire can beat Dragon-type Pokemon, so it usually doesn't need counters to them like Primarina and Iron Crown. However, it is still nice to have them so that they can deter the opponent from choosing those Pokemon if they ever become a problem.
* Haban Berry Gouging Fire lacks a lot of firepower, missing out on KOs its Booster Energy variant would otherwise get, like Iron Crown and Cresselia, so it prefers having partners that can deal with them, like Meowscarada and Hoopa-U.

might be worth talking about the loss in immediate fire power - for example your WP iron crown matchup is now really bad and cresselia can super outplay you compared to +atk booster energy

what and get burned after the outrage? i shall argue hax should always scale shot due to bulwark, and especially due to Booster not being revealed meaning it could potentially be Haban Berry, which it is.

(haban berry is its second most used item, sure ladder isn't the best way of checking usage on items but when you realize every gouging without booster or haban is only 13%, haxorus should always scale shot on a non-item revealed gouging in my opinion.)

* Flare Blitz is an incredible STAB option that hits Steel- and Grass-types like Corviknight, Metagross, Iron Crown, Serperior, and non-Occa Berry Whimsicott.
* Outrage is also incredibly strong and it serves for non-Haban Regidrago, Raging Bolt and opposing Gouging Fire.
* Scale Shot, on top of being able of defeating Substitute + Leech Seed Pokemon like Ogerpon-W, can also beat opposing Haban Berry Dragon-type Pokemon like opposing Gouging Fire and Regidrago. It's also useful for Sub Dragons like Roaring Moon (minimizes confusion self-hit chances), but if you add that, put a warning that the def drop would cause you to lose to a DD when you don't KO, so you're still better off outraging first and then scale shot.
* Dragon Dance can be used to outspeed and KO most fast threats like Dragapult, you OHKO w/ outrage anyways unless it's Haban but that's not real Meowscarada, Greninja and Darkrai, while Burning Bulwark can deal with Choice Scarf Haxorus.

I'm not sure if you are saying that it doesn't beat Haban Bolt or not but it does beat Haban Bolt, so try to make that a little more clear. Gouging can also beat Haban Regidrago with Scale Shot turn one, barring a 5 hit scale shot. I would change this example to Choice Band Regidrago, since you don't do enough damage with Scale Shot or Outrage and they either OHKO you back with Scale Shot or outspeed you after and 2hko you.

* Flare Blitz is an incredible STAB option that hits Steel- and Grass-types like Corviknight, Metagross, Iron Crown, Serperior, and non-Occa Berry Whimsicott.

Remove the Iron Crown mention here, since this set isn't actually that consistent into it.

It's also useful for Dragon-types with Substitute, like Roaring Moon, but most of the time you have to be careful about Scale Shot's Defense drop, so it's usually better to use Outrage unless necessary.

Specify Speed Booster, since against Attack Booster you always want to Scale Shot.

Remove the Darkrai mention, since a +1 attack doesn't reliably OHKO it and it can 2hko you with Choice Specs Dark Pulse. Also specify Unnerve Haxorus.

I mentioned this in QC chat but I think it might be worth re-eving this set, as you lose to Choice Band Regidrago clicking Scale Shot anyways.

Okay so specifically against Choice Banded Regidrago, you can click Dragon Dance turn 1 and hope they get a 2 or 3 turn Scale. Still not the best benchmark but if everything else is implemented, it is fine for me, especially since there aren't really any other useful benchmarks here.
