VGC [GP 1/1] Tatsugiri

[SET]
Commander Support (Tatsugiri) @ Choice Scarf / Focus Sash / Safety Goggles
Ability: Commander
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost / Steel / Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Muddy Water
- Icy Wind / Protect
- Dragon Pulse / Taunt

[SET COMMENTS]
- Tatsugiri only appears on teams to enable Dondozo with its Commander ability and potentially offer some support and damage.
- Icy Wind offers speed control and considerable damage into the likes of Garchomp and Dragonite, though it only appears on Choice Scarf sets. Draco Meteor is a high-damage STAB option with drawbacks, while Dragon Pulse offers consistent damage. Taunt can stop status moves like Spore from Amoonguss; Follow Me from Electabuzz, Magmar, and Maushold; and Trick Room from Porygon2 and the Indeedee formes. Taunt in combination with Safety Goggles can ignore Rage Powder to stop opposing setup. The status moves are not intended for a Choice Scarf set. Protect appears on Focus Sash and Safety Goggles sets, and it can be used to bait attacks into Tatsugiri before Dondozo is sent out, drawing damage away from Tatsugiri's partner.
- Choice Scarf lets Tatsugiri outspeed the entire metagame if the opponent does not have Speed boosts, though it is less flexible. Focus Sash aids survivability for Tatsugiri, with its low defensive presence, but the set lacks speed control. Safety Goggles stops Tatsugiri from getting punished by a slow Spore on the turn Dondozo faints. The Safety Goggles set has mediocre Speed and bulk and can be taken out by fast offensive threats.
- Tera Ghost is useful for blocking moves like Fake Out and Extreme Speed, which will quickly break a Focus Sash. Tera Steel turns Tatsugiri's weaknesses to Dragon, Fairy, and Freeze Dry into resistances and adds other useful resistances, such as to Grass- and Normal-type moves like Wood Hammer, Blood Moon, and Hyper Voice. Tera Stellar boosts general offense, given that Focus Sash Tatsugiri is likely to survive a turn.

[SET]
(There should only be one set, they are the same set on the analysis reservation thread)
Choice Scarf Support (Tatsugiri) @ Choice Scarf / Focus Sash
Ability: Commander
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel / Water Ghost / Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe OR 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Muddy Water / Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind / Protect / Taunt
- Dragon Pulse / Tera Blast / Sleep Talk / Protect / Taunt. (dm me on disc if smth is off)

[SET COMMENTS]
- Tatsugiri only appears on teams to enable Dondozo with its Commander ability. It has some support and damage potential on its own. (What about its speed? Its stats? Also its typing being good offensively with a lack of Fairy-types, but this is just a AMQC lol)
- Draco Meteor, and Hydro Pump are is a high damage STAB options with imperfect accuracy, but Dragon Pulse can be used as a alternative with less power but better consistency Muddy Water offers spread damage with lower Base Power. (Add sentence on muddy water here, but mention accuracy from muddy water but good power and spread) Icy Wind offers fast speed control and considerable damage into the likes of Garchomp and Salamence (not too relevant tbh). Dragon Pulse offers steady damage over time, Tera Blast allows for better offensive coverage although Tatsugiri does not Terastallize often. Sleep Talk is an option for counterplay into Amoonguss.
- Choice Scarf allows Tatsugiri to outspeed the entire metagame if the opponent does not have speed boosts. (I would just say "Choice Scarf lets Tatsugiri outspeed ____)
- Steel Tera (Flip these) turns Tatsugiri's weaknesses into to Dragon, and Fairy, and Freeze Dry into resistances, and adds other useful resistances such as Grass and Normal. Water Tera is an offensive option that still removes the weakness into Dragon and Fairy attacks. (Talk about other Teras)
- Slight bulk The physically defensive investment makes Sucker Punch from max attack Adamant Black Glasses Kingambit a guaranteed survival.
- Though a Choice Scarf set is inherently less flexible, Tatsugiri does not usually survive for long anyway, thus it is worth it to increase speed to get key attacks off.

[SET]
Sash Support Tatsugiri @ Focus Sash
Ability: Commander
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost / Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor / Dragon Pulse
- Muddy Water
- Dragon Pulse / Taunt / Helping Hand
- Protect

[SET COMMENTS]
- This set is geared more toward support, but still has some offensive presence.
- Taunt can stop status moves like Spore, Follow Me, and Trick Room, and it is helpful for the move slot to not be used on a more offensive Pokemon. Helping Hand allows Tatsugiri to support Pokemon other than Dondozo.
- Focus Sash aids survivability for this Pokemon with a low defensive presence.
- Ghost Tera is useful for blocking moves like Fake Out and Extreme Speed, which will quickly break a Focus Sash. Stellar Tera boosts general offense given that this Tatsugiri is likely to survive a turn, and can get off two different attacks.
- Stellar Tera Draco Meteor will notably OHKO a Tera Ghost Dragapult, and give Muddy Water a 62.5% chance to OHKO an Ursaluna-Bloodmoon with 244 HP and 12 SpD EVs.
- This set is more flexible, but lacks speed control and some offensive type coverage. Primarina notably walls this set.

hi dm me questions and ping for recheck
[SET]
Support Tatsugiri Commander Support @ Choice Scarf / Focus Sash / Safety Goggles (has picked up usage since gdansk worth it to add, put it above sash or keep it below)
Ability: Commander
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel / Ghost / Stellar / Water Ghost / Steel / Stellar
EVs: 4 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe for Choice Scarf OR or 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe for Focus Sash (Just do 252/252 for both having those extra 4 evs isn't that necescary)
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Muddy Water / Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind / Taunt / Helping Hand / Protect
- Dragon Pulse / Tera Blast / Sleep Talk / Protect / Taunt

[SET COMMENTS]
- Tatsugiri only appears on teams to enable Dondozo with its Commander ability. It has some support and damage potential on its own. (either merge these 2 into one sentence or just remove the second part, not too necescary)
- Draco Meteor and Hydro Pump are high damage STAB options with imperfect accuracy, and Muddy Water offers spread damage with lower Base Power. Icy Wind offers fast speed control and considerable damage into the likes of Garchomp and Dragonite. Dragon Pulse offers steady STAB damage over time. Tera Blast allows for better offensive coverage, although Tatsugiri does not Terastallize often. Sleep Talk is an option for counterplay into Amoonguss. Taunt can stop status moves like Spore, Follow Me, and Trick Room, and it is helpful for the move slot to not be used on a more offensive Pokemon. Helping Hand allows Tatsugiri to support Pokemon other than Dondozo. These status moves are intended for a Focus Sash set. (please remember to make changes depending on what changes I made to the set. The biggest thing I am looking for is to compare the slashed moves and talk about why one is better than the other on certain teams and why you would use those items. Please mention protect somewhere, just saying that Protect is used on safety goggles sets and focus sash sets is enough.)
- Choice Scarf lets Tatsugiri outspeed the entire metagame if the opponent does not have speed boosts. Focus Sash aids survivability for this Pokemon with a low defensive presence.
- Tera Steel turns Tatsugiri's weaknesses to Dragon, Fairy, and Freeze Dry into resistances, and adds other useful resistances (either mention some resistances or delete this part). Tera Water is an offensive option that still removes the weakness into Dragon and Fairy attacks. Ghost Tera is useful for blocking moves like Fake Out and Extreme Speed, which will quickly break a Focus Sash. Stellar Tera boosts general offense given that Focus Sash Tatsugiri is likely to survive a turn, and can get off two different attacks. (remember to change the order and remove the tera types that have been removed in the set)
- The defensive investment makes Sucker Punch from Black Glasses Kingambit a guaranteed survival. Stellar Tera Draco Meteor will notably OHKO a Tera Ghost Dragapult or a Sneasler, greatly increase the chance to OHKO Archaludon, and give Muddy Water a 62.5% chance to OHKO an Ursaluna-Bloodmoon with 252 HP and 4 SpD EVs. (this is 252/252)
- Though a Choice Scarf set is inherently less flexible, Tatsugiri does not usually survive for long anyway, thus it can be worth it to increase speed to get key attacks off. The Focus Sash set lacks speed control. A Tatsugiri set with only Dragon and Water attacks is notably walled by Primarina.
(It's better to merge these pros and cons into the items area, especially since that is what is differentiating the sets)

this should still be 0/2, but before I recheck this I would like you to edit the moves paragraph. You talk about moves that have been removed from the set, such as Hydro Pump and Sleep Talk, which should not be talked about in the moves paragraph.

- Choice Scarf lets Tatsugiri outspeed the entire metagame if the opponent does not have speed boosts, however it is less flexible (you can reword this if you want but it gets the same message across in a lot fewer words).
