Granbull (Updated) [QC 0/3]

Overview
########

+Fairy typing is a amazing thing especially in a fighting type infested meta.
+120 attack is no slouch as even without investment it still smacks most things granbull is supposed to check fairly hard.
+Coverage packed movepool with things like earthquake,fire punch,ice punch,crunch,close combat, and wild charge means choice band is certaintly an option.
+great bulk backed up by intimidate gives many switch in opprotunities.
+ Support options like heal bell and roar make it do work on stall.
- Base 45 speed is a large burden and means most of the time granbull will often take a hit before it moves.
- Special attackers have a field day with it.
- Heal bell only has 8 PP.
- No reliable recovery means it's reliant on restalk or wish support to stick around.
- Terrible 4mss

Defensive cleric
########
name: defensive
move 1:Play rough
move 2:Earthquake
move 3:Heal Bell
move 4:Roar/thunder wave
ability:Intimidate
item:leftovers
evs: 248 hp/232 def/28 speed
nature:impish

Moves
========
  • Play rough is the stab move that hits fairly hard even neutrally.
  • Earthquake complements Fairy stab so it fills the 2nd slot so steel types don't shit on it.
  • Heal bell is the here to cure status aliments and win stall wars.
  • Roar is used to phase set up sweepers that set up on you and it helps with hazard stall.
  • Thunder wave can be used to cripple many things but roar's utility is more useful.

Set Details
========

  • 248 hp gives a stealth rock number 252 physical defense and impish are obvious choices. 28 speed isn't used to outspeed uninvested druddigon as most run speed creep.
  • Intimidate is the only ability you should use as it makes granbull a wonderful pivot.
  • Leftovers are the only item to consider as without it you are worn down much easier.

Usage Tips
========
  • Don't switch in and out as you damn please because leftovers is the bulldog's only recovery.
  • Only heal bell when needed as it only has 8 PP.
  • If you see an emboar don't switch in if locked into flare blitz as that does over 50% if banded.

Team Options
========
  • Alomomola and audino are the first things to come to mind as both an provide wish and granbull can heal bell. Audino in particular works well with it as it has great special bulk and appreciates granbull being able to check fighting types.
  • Registeel's great special bulk makes it complement you're fairy dog nicely and forms 2/3 of the dragon/fairy/steel core which is always nice.
  • In fact Druddigon also works as it's good special bulk and specially based resistances allow it to check multiple threats you don't want to take on.

Choice Band
########
name: choice band
move 1:play rough
move 2:Earthquake/Close combat
move 3:Ice punch/Wild Charge
move 4:Crunch/Fire punch
ability:Intimidate
item:Choice band
evs: 208 hp/252 attack /48 speed
nature:adamant

Moves
========
  • Play rough is the stab move you will be using a majority of the time as it has great coverage and no immunities.
  • Earthquake hits steels and has great all around coverage.
  • Close combat is also viable as it hurts registeel and cobalion the hardest.
  • Ice punch is preferable to hit amoongus brave enough to come in.
  • Wild charge hits golbat and alomomola harder then any other move.
  • Crunch works if you use close combat to hit doublade and hits zonger.
  • Fire punch is if you really hate escavalier durant or ferroseed

Set Details
========
  • 208 hp for overall bulk,252 attack for obvious reasons.
  • 48 speed outspeeds offensive druddigons so you can play rough them before a gunk shot comes your way.
  • Intimidate helps give switch in opprotunities and is the only ability you should use.
  • Adamant and choice band are here again for obvious reasons.
  • Use brave 248 hp 252 attack 8 spdef if you run a trick room team

Usage Tips
========
  • When using this set prediction is key to use as being locked into undesirable coverage options sucks.
  • If you're not sure what to do if they have multiple checks to granbull you can hard switch or hammer them with appropriate coverage.
  • Try avoiding special attackers as most of them own this.

Team Options
========
  • Druddigon and escavalier stand out as great picks as all cover each others weaknesses very well and form a dragon/fairy/steel core.
  • Also if this set is used on trick room slowking stands out as it's great special bulk complements intimidate bolstered physical bulk and slowking tackles delphox: a pain if locked into a certain move.
  • Cleaners that like having there checks worn down (Virizion,Slurpuff,durant etc,)

Other Options
########
  • Focus punch lol
  • taunt but you outspeed nothing.
  • Rest-talk provides some recovery but takes up a moveslot
  • substitute
  • super fang
  • toxic
  • double-edge?

Checks & Counters
########
  • **Steel-types**: These are pretty good checks to granbull as long as they avoid coverage. Even some steels like doublade and mega steelix take super effective coverage.
  • **Alomomola**: As long as you didn't waste heal bell you can beat it 1 on 1 but otherwise pretty annoying
  • **Amoongus**: Another good check to it but hates ice and fire punches but otherwise it fares well against it.
  • **Weezing**:This counters granbull stone cold. No matter what this always beats you, it has 2 ways to fuck you over ,and walls you to hell and back.
  • **Fletchinder**: Hates thunder punch and switching in on offensive set but otherwise burns it and set up unless you toxic,thunder wave,or roar it out.

Hey man - you should really fix up your formatting, especially with the unnecessary spaces. I suggest checking out some other in progress analyses.

I know this is just a WIP, but you're missing checks and counters which is really important.

okay i'm working on this when i go home

Regarding EV spreads, Granbull needs 44 speed minimum to outspeed 0 speed Registeel. I also don't think it's that worth it to outspeed Druddigon tbh, cuz the ones that Granbull fears are the offensive LO ones; and they should be running speed themselves so yeah.

Don't really have time to go over the entire analyses but you should work on the team options of both sets; for example put Audino (as a wishpasser) on the 1st set cuz they have good synergy
