Overview

  • Fairy Type means Granbull is no longer outclassed at everything it could possibly do and allows the dog to check things like Druddigon, Hitmonlee, Virizion, Physical Sharpedo, and Physical/Mixed Zoroark easily
  • Great attack
  • Good Coverage moves and ok support moves
  • Intimidate is obviously an amazing ability
  • No Reliable Recovery
  • Bad special bulk
  • Slower than a grandpa riding a bike
  • Defensive set has some competition from Aromatisse

  • Rock Slide rekts Moltres and Fletchinder
  • Ice Punch is only if you really really hate Gligar and want a safe move to use if your opponent has something like Amoonguss alive

This is a very real problem. Now I've not played a lot of RU this gen so I don't know how often Druddigon runs Gunk Shot (with Aromatisse in the tier I can't imagine why it wouldn't especially since it's also a really powerful move to hit neutral targets with, along with Tangrowth) but Druddigon naturally outspeeds Granbull and also often runs Speed itself. The first set can't come in, since if I see a Granbull in TP I'll assume it's gonna come in and will just Gunk Shot. Even if I don't , the only way for Granbull to beat Druddigon is if Druddigon gets a kill on something else with Outrage, THEN come in while its locked, as it can't directly come in on an Outrage or Druddigon snaps out, then outspeeds and kills.

tl;dr ban druddigon
