Strategy: Abuse the boosting accuracy effect of gravity to spam high power/inaccurate special attacks. Abuse Mamoswine's strongest STAB earthquake.
Trick Lead: Claydol @ choice scarf
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Levitate
EV: 252 ATK, 252 SPEED, 6 HP
Moves
- Trick
- Gravity
- Explosion
- Rapid Spin
Trick will always go first, unless opponent is scarfed. You can then rapid spin if necessary, then gravity and finally explode.
Physical Defense Gravity: Forrestress @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Sturdy
EV: 244 HP, 252 DEF, 14 SP DEF
Moves
- Gravity
- Spikes
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Gravity is never last long enough, so rest talk will make Forrestress durable to renew gravity. Spikes work well with gravity and bring bulky enemies into OHKO range for the sweepers. The EVs return the highest HP divisble by 16, to maximise leftover efficiency.
Special Defense Gravity: Blissey @ Leftovers
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
EV: 20 HP, 252 DEF, 238 SP DEF
Moves
- Gravity
- Stealth Rock
- Wish
- Flamethrower
Similar to Forretress, setups stealth rock and gravity. Wish passing is the next important role, since all the sweeper are weak defensively and vulnerable to damage. It is very important to maintain the team's only 3 sweepers, since the gravity user aren't offensive. Flamethrower is the team's only way (available slot) to deal with scizors, also work well against forrestress spinners.
EQ Mamoswine @ Life Orb/Choice Band/Choice Scarf
Nature: Jolly/Adamant
Ability: Snow Cloak
EV: 252 ATK, 252 SPEED, 6 HP
(If Life Orb, then 0 HP EV and 29 HP IV)
Moves
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Stone Edge
- Super Power
Once gravity is up, Mamoswine can spam unblockable EQs. Unavoidable EQ has near perfect OU coverage, so a Choice item is good for late game sweeps. Life Orb is for those less skilled at maintaining gravity and requires less prediction. With Life Orb, the adjustments returns a HP stat that is a multiple of 10 minus 1. This gives the least life orb recoil.
Gengar @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV: 252 SP ATK, 252 SPEED
IV: 29 HP
Moves
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Hypnosis
- Thunder
While gravity is up, accuracy boost will make gengar a very powerful sweeper with the option to hypnosis (accurately!) the bulky counters. The perfect coverage is rock solid now that focus blast is reliable. Thunder was simply the next strongest move available, good for bulky waters. IV for same reasons are Mamo. Gengar is also effective spin blocking and absorb toxic spikes, making it the most important sweeper.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
EV: 252 SP ATK, 252 SPEED
IV: 29 HP
Moves
- Hydro Pump
- Blizzard
- Thunder
- Filler
Last in line to abuse gravity is Starmie, water, ice and electric is perfect coverage, accuracy and damage! The last move can be anything, recover, rapid spin, grass knot, psychic, hidden power, etc. IVs for the same reason.
The basic gameplay will run similar to skarm/bliss, absorbing damage and setup entry hazards. When the opportunity is right drop in the appropriate sweeper and go crazy (until gravity expires).
Weakness: Priority and scarf revenge killers. It is very important to defeat scizor early, even it sacrifices Blissey. Beating scarfs will require ALOT of prediction, if you switch on a u-turn it is back to square one. Then again, the whole team requires a lot of prediction in general.
Next minor problem is pursuit weakness on the 2 main sweepers gengar and starmie. Its is only a problem is gravity is not active, otherwise they should outrun and KO.
Finally the team has only offensive power in half of the members. Lossing 2 sweepers prematurely will most likely result in a loss. Accurately predicted switching and making most of wish passing the key!
Rank of importance (from least to most): Claydol, Forrestress, Mamoswine, Blissey, Starmie, Gengar. If you need a death/sacrifice fodder, prioritize in that general order. Status absorber is best for forrestress.
