[SET COMMENTS]
Great Tusk fills a crucial set of roles on Fighting teams and provides great role compression, being the type's premier Stealth Rock + Rapid Spin user. Knock Off furthers Great Tusk's capabilities, enabling it to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from the likes of Crobat and Zapdos as they both come into Great Tusk's Earthquake and use Defog. Furthermore, Knock Off also allows Great Tusk to hit Ghost-types, such as Air Balloon Gholdengo. Earthquake combined with Great Tusk's Electric immunity and general bulk allows Great Tusk to stop threats such as Regieleki and Mega Charizard X from running through Fighting teams. Taunt can be run as an alternative option over Rapid Spin to prevent threats such as Ting-Lu and Skarmory from setting entry hazards or Defog users like Corviknight from removing Great Tusk's Stealth Rock. Leftovers grants Great Tusk longevity, while Heavy-Duty Boots provides safe entry, allowing it to use Rapid Spin without worrying about hazard damage. The given EV spreads maximize Great Tusk's physical bulk; 120 Speed EVs are preferred to let Great Tusk outspeed Modest Volcanion, but 96 Speed EVs can be used instead to further increase its bulk while still allowing Great Tusk to outspeed threats such as Latios and Iron Moth after a Rapid Spin. Sneasler serves as an excellent teammate with its incredible Speed and Poison typing, enabling it to handle Fairy- and Grass-types, such as Iron Valiant, Tapu Bulu, and Breloom. Iron Valiant can threaten opposing Great Tusk and Dark-types like Sableye and Mandibuzz with Moonblast, allowing for Great Tusk to reliably get Stealth Rock up. Iron Valiant also uses coverage moves such as Thunderbolt to deal with Slowbro and Mega Charizard Y while appreciating Great Tusk's handling of Poison-types, such as Sneasler and Galarian Slowking. Mega Gallade can check Poison- and Fighting-type threats such as Mega Venusaur and Keldeo. Kommo-o appreciates Great Tusk keeping hazards off the field and, in response, can set up safely with Clangorous Soulblaze, enabling it to overcome Flying and Water teams that greatly threaten Great Tusk. Assault Vest Iron Hands can threaten Water- and Flying-types such as Greninja, Pelipper, and Tornadus-T while appreciating Great Tusk's Stealth Rock, enabling it to 2HKO physically defensive Toxapex.
