Grimmsnarl's Prankster ability complements its Bulk Up + RestTalk set by giving those moves priority, making it a dangerous setup sweeper. Its typing and STAB Darkest Lariat give Fairy teams a great matchup against Ghost and Psychic teams. Darkest Lariat also allows Grimmsnarl to beat Corviknight and other Pokemon that boost their Defense such as Curse Snorlax. Its priority Bulk Up is handy against Dracovish's Fishious Rend, as it prevents the move from doubling its power. Thanks to Rest and Sleep Talk, it can attack first while asleep and act as a status absorber for its teammates. Gardevoir is a good teammate because it can threaten Poison-types with Psychic, notably Toxapex, which can remove Grimmsnarl's boosts with Haze. Mimikyu is another solid partner that helps overwhelm Ghost and Psychic teams, and its ability Disguise allows it to check threats such as Aegislash.

Its typing and STAB Darkest Lariat gives Fairy-type teams a great matchup against Ghost- and Psychic-type teams. Darkest Lariat ignores the opponent's stat changes which (this is dex info, not needed) allows Grimmsnarl to beat Corviknight and other Pokemon that boost their Defense such as Curse Snorlax. Its priority Bulk Up is handy against Dracovish's Fishious Rend and Dracozolt's Bolt Beak (dracovish is a good enough example, dont need both) as it prevents them from getting double doubling its power. It can also use Rest into Sleep Talk to potentially attack first thanks to Prankster. Thanks to Rest and Sleep talk it can attack first while asleep act as a status absorber for its teammates. (basically i just added the idea of status absorbing to the previous sentence. if you want to not include this it is fine.) Gardevoir is a good teammate because it can threaten Poison-types with Psychic, notably Toxapex which can Haze Grimmsnarl. Mimikyu is another solid partner that helps overwhelm Ghost and Psychic and its Disguise comes in handy as an emergency check to some allows it to check threats such as Aegislash.
