Grimmsnarl @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spirit Break
- Scary Face
- Light Screen
- Reflect
Grimmsnarl neutralizes its foes in Doubles OU, setting up dual screens and lowering Special Attacker's offensive prowess with Spirit Break. Additionally, Spirit Break hits hard into Pokemon such as Roaring Moon and Chien Pao. Grimmsnarl carries Scary Face for speed control against the likes of Landorus and Ogerpon-W. Light Clay allows Grimmsnarl's Light Screen and Reflect stay up for longer during drawn out battles while Tera Ghost gives it an immunity to Fake Out, compensating for its lack of Protect. It also gives it an immunity to Dragonite's Extreme Speed. The EV spread allows it to survive a Tera Normal Extreme Speed from Choice Band Dragonite while under the effects of Sword of Ruin. Bulky setup Pokemon like Kingambit and Ursaluna-B work perfectly alongside Grimmsnarl, appreciating the protection under dual screens while threatening threats to Grimmsnarl such as Gholdengo, Glimmora, and Iron Crown. Sinistcha is another great addition, as it can heal up said setup Pokemon, letting them stay healthy when paired with dual screens and can sweep teams easier.
