So, this is complicated and probably out of the interest of most players on showdown, but I've been using Pokemon showdown to make my own Pokemon Gyms and having my friends challenge them with a random box of encounters. It's been a lot of fun, and I was thinking that maybe showdown could set up a standardized method for an online version of this. Some players would submit Gyms that they've created of a standardized level and number of Pokemon, and others could fight one of them randomly.
The biggest challenges to this system would be that showdown would need to have it's own battle logic like those of the Pokemon games, and I'm not sure how you could implement this system, since it's unlike anything I've seen on showdown. I also don't it'll be implemented, but thought it was an interesting idea and I wanted to hear other people's opinions on it.
