SV OU H-Sam Hazard Stack

Hey, recently got into showdown and a buddy of mine helped me build this team centered around one of my fav mons atm H-Samurott. First RMT so dont roast me too bad

So the thought process:

1. :samurott-hisui:
Samurott-Hisui @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Cutter
- Ceaseless Edge
- Sacred Sword
- Knock Off

The star of the show and the basis of the team. At the start I had it banded because I wanted all power, using advice from my friend it ended up going through the motions. AV, then sashed. I ended up going with the scarfed set because as you'll see below the team would appreciate the speed. Aqua Cutter over Razor Shell because I hate missing moves and I am the most unlucky person on the planet. Edge because as a Samu fan we love edging, Sacred sword to catch darkrai off guard because that mon is just problematic and knock off to get rid of pesky boots

2. :landorus-therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 32 Def / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- U-turn
- Taunt

First iteration of the team did not have rocks, we needed a rocker and the premier has to be either Lando or Tusk so I went with Lando for intimidate shenanigans (you'll see later in the thread). No other explanation needed for the goat

3. :pecharunt:
Pecharunt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 120 SpD / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Parting Shot
- Recover
- Toxic
- Hex

Here we got a little spicy. With all these hazards we need a spin blocker. Now sane persons may go gholdengo or pult. But a real man decided to use the absolute menace that is Pecharunt. Now this mon has surprised me at every angle. The spread? lets see the calcs:
4 Atk Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 186-218 (48.9 - 57.3%) -- 93.4% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Protosynthesis Great Tusk Headlong Rush vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 288-342 (75.7 - 90%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
180 SpA Dragapult Hex (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 120 SpD Pecharunt: 324-384 (85.2 - 101%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 120 SpD Pecharunt: 320-378 (84.2 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Zamazenta Crunch vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 78-92 (20.5 - 24.2%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252+ Atk Gouging Fire Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 124-148 (32.6 - 38.9%) -- 99.4% chance to 3HKO
72 Atk Gouging Fire Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 88-105 (23.1 - 27.6%) -- 69.9% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Iron Valiant Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 120 SpD Pecharunt: 162-192 (42.6 - 50.5%) -- 2.3% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Black Glasses Supreme Overlord 5 allies fainted Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Pecharunt: 318-374 (83.6 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Is this not impressive? getting a toxic off and crippling all these mons who are prevalent in the meta? (we all hate tera steel am i right?). And theres even some spicy tech for physicals, if i dont toxic them, Parting Shot into intimidate. If they decide to switch into gambit? no problem Parting into lando and thats a free turn that gambit has to switch out on. Gambit teras? Toxic. This mon is a great spin blocker so far and has clutched many a game for me.

4. :raging-bolt:
Raging Bolt @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 64 HP / 28 Def / 252 SpA / 164 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderclap
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt

This team originally had specs bolt. I wanted the power and it was just a fun mon to use. But I have come to appreciate the calm mind set. Spread to live headlong rush from tusk and hit hard with a Dragon Pulse or tera fairy to calm mind on it.

5. :great-tusk:
Great Tusk @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Bulk Up
- Rapid Spin

Bulk up tera poison tusk. This mon just does it all. What cant tusk do? We needed a rapid spinner for the team and my friend gave me the great idea of booster bulk up tusk. This mon has won games on its own.

6. :kingambit:
Kingambit @ Black Glasses
Ability: Supreme Overlord
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch

Pinkacross once said every team should have a steel type. So why not go with Kingambit. This is certainly one of the mons of all time, does anything else need to be said about it?

Overall, I think this is a good team i've made for someone fairly inexperienced. I was able to climb to 1500s with this team (im not the best). There is definitely room for improvements but im a fan of the playstyle for this team. This was probably a bad post so apologies, would appreciate any advice to give for the team and or the layout. Thanks for Reading!

Hey not a bad team I really like the idea behind it I’d like to offer a few changes though.

1. I think :great tusk: can just be offensive utility with boots this give it the longevity it needs to spin hazards away for your team. Tera steel allows it to resist things like :roaring moon: acrobatics in a pinch.

2. Just give :landorus therian: max speed so you can actually do damage to things like offensive :great tusk: reliably.

3. Is run a water or dark tera type on :samurott hisui: you don’t need ghost tera that’s mostly on hazard lead sets and you also have a ghost type in :pecharunt: to block if need be.

4. This might sound unorthodox but I’d suggest the ghost Tera on :pecharunt: to reliably block spin in the face of :great tusk: you become neutral to ground and you eat knocks pretty well since it’s defensive stat is pretty massive. The need to run a water Tera is less since you have raging bolt.
Also run this set

Pecharunt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Ghost
Timid Nature
- Malignant Chain
- Hex
- Parting Shot
- Recover

I hope you like these changes Goodluck
