H3ll_Wraith's First RMT (OU)

Hello, I am relatively new to smogun and this is my first rate my team. Its a very offensive team that requires a lot of guessing what your opponent is going to do, with resistances to Ghost, Normal, Ground, Fighting, Poison, and Electric, it is extremely good if you can lure the opponent into using a certain type of move, then when they think you are going to switch, stat up or kill your opponents pokemon. So, without further adue, get your criticising caps on, and rate my team.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 def/ 252 spe / 252 spA
Nature: Timid
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Trick

I chose a gengar lead because i have a swampert on my team for Stealth rock. I have had a fair bit of success killing most leads in one hit with the timid nature instead of modest, also allowing me to kill other gengar leads, wich is pretty awesome. Biggest problem is Bronzong/Metagross leads because i cant super effect them, so in that case i usually just switch into a more effective combatant.

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240Hp / 216 def / 52 spA
Nature: Relaxed
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Surf
- Ice Beam

I chose swampert because it is a really nice mixed attacker and now the only pokemon on my team carrying a stabed earthquake, loving the match up against heatran, and most metagrosses. The ability to be fairly good against most dragons is also making swampert really attractive to me. Also a great switch in with No damadge from thunder attacks (and thunderwave <3). Lastly it can stand its ground against most steal pokemon, wich again is a nice addition to the team.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Mild
EVs: 84 atk/ 208 spe / 216 spA
Nature: Intimidate
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
- Outrage

Late game sweeper, and a good switch in to anticipated fire/water/grass attacks, especially grass users. I was having trouble with grass pokemon ( cough breloom cough) and without wanting to COMPLETLY hate against it, i figured a Salamence with Fire Blast would be good enough, and so far it has been good at that, and killing others.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 hp/ 252 atk / 8 spe
Nature: Adamant
- Bullet Punch
- Super Power
- X-Scissor
- Pursuit

I have the most mixed feelings about Scizor then any other pokemon on my team. Ugh, damn you choice band. I am thinking of possibly switching to a sword dance set, and bullet punching away, but it makes me feel the rest of scizors moves are rendered useless, due to the extreamly low speed. Possibly putting a heatran on my team somewhere to absorb those dreaded fire attacks would help, but im not sure. Sometimes its really good for a late game sweep depending on the team, but i have really been disapointed with scizors abilities on this team thus far. Suggestions for this one are really apreciated.

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serenes grace
EVs: 252 hp / 104 spe / 152 spA
Nature: Modest
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Nasty plot
- Roost

Nothing feels more like cheating then switching out gengar on a shadow sneak and Nasty Plotting for a sweep. Togekiss probably has the most kos on this team, and it feels great having swampert and gengar to switch into to back this frail killer up (for thunder/ice/fighting attacks). Zapdose is a pretty big problem for togekiss, especially if it is carrying HP grass to kill swampert as well, so suggestions for that would also be apreciated. Zapdose actually does pose a pretty big problem to this whole team, so suggestions would be nice.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Recover

The essential rapid spinner of the team. Wow, 25% to 2 of the crucial sweepers, and the huge ammount of anticipation switches, not to mention two banded pokemon, switching is an essential part to this team, thus making stealth rock a large detriment to the success that this team will have. Its not an extreamly effective revenge killer compared to the other pokemon on this team, and nothing more really comes from it other then an amazing rapid spin.

Conclusion:

So...Weaknesses I have experienced with my team. Zapdose. Okay, so im looking at a stabbed thunderbolt, and grass knot that is killing swampert, and a heatwave that is obliterating scissor...thats only killing my entire team >.<. Help?

Blissey also seems to be a problem and i dont really know why, probably because both of my pokes that can use fighting moves are banded, so they just get switched in on and are rendered useless against a ghost pokemon, and that is a forced switch if im trying to attack with gengar. I was thinking removing CB from scizor as i said already, but something else might work better if you have suggestions.

Other then that I havnt had any big problems exept switching in expecting a certain move and getting Dragon danced on, or Calm Minded. So, thank you for reading, and thank you for the suggestions!

Ok, first thing I'd say is don't use Gengar to lead. Using Choice Scarf to Trick onto Blissey later in a match shuts it down.

However, I'd swap Gengar for Bronzong with Trick Iron Ball. As a lead, this gives him super powerful Gyro Balls and he shuts down opposing Zapdos who is slowed and weak to EQ after an Iron Ball Trick. It also works very well against Scarf Trickers since Gyro Ball obliterates them and if they try to Trick you, they get a nasty surprise (Azelf, Gengar, Rotom-A, etc). Bronzong also can Stealth Rock letting Swampert Roar out DDs and CMs. Finally, Bronzong can Explode on Blissey leaving her dead or an easy pick off for a Scizor Pursuit.

If you go Heatproof (as Iron Ball ruins Levitate), Bronzong retains his one weakness trademark and can switch in on Infernape better (and Trick to slow him down and remove LO threats or just Explode). Keep in mind no one uses EQ on Bronzong anyway so you can keep Levitate and watch as their EQ goes right under you when you Trick on the switch. Basically, Trick Iron Ball is a game changing move.

At the very least I'd try it out.

Cheers.

I take it you meant hp grass on Zapdos, and not grass knot. Secondly, with Blissey if you're worried about your attacks being neutralized by a ghost, I would say don't bother using superpower on it. Just u-turn out with Scizor, it should do a lot of damage if it doesn't kill it. Salamence should also be able to take it down with outrage.

For your Zapdos problem, you could try a curselax over maybe Togekiss, since other then being able to sweep I don't see it doing anything, and curselax can indeed sweep.

Again these are just suggestions, but good luck and I hope I helped
