Habits whilst playing Pokemon

What are some habits you guys have while playing pokemon?

For some reason I always hit A as soon as a pokeball or whatever hits the pokemon I'm trying to catching.

Also I tend to get really distracted while EV training. I don't know why, but I just can't stand killing the same damn thing over and over again for an extended period of time.

Thoughts?

I don't know why, but i press the button A a lot when there is some attack animation, when i already know it doesn't affect the power of it, either the speed.

I still press B when i throw a pokeball, like in Red/Blue haha.

when an egg is hatching for some reason i keep pushing A to rush it like I am actually making it go faster. My poke friends find it hirlarious.

Before I get hit, I always keep tapping left on the direction thing like my guy will dodge it, even thought I know my guy wont.

When my pokemon start evolving, i always start tapping the A button rapidly, knowing that it will not effect the rate at which it evolves.

I order all of my items in chronological order and having items with the least amount of characters on top and so forth.

Every now and then I'll press B whenever my pokemon evolves and then pull it back at the last second just for the thrill

When I'm EV training for some reason I put screwdrivers up my nose, idk why but it makes time go by faster.

Off topic: Why does Smogon have the wierdest smilies on Earth?

I rest one of my arms atop my head so that the point of my elbow faces upwards and my forearm hangs off and down to the side.

I actually bother arranging my pokemon. And Im not talking about those EVd ones, i can spend half an hour rearranging every little shit that i catch because it doesnt look nice in the box

I sometimes chew on my stylus the way some people chew on penis.
This is how I read that at first, and I fell out of my chair. I chew on mine too, though. My stylus, not my penis.

I also try to mimic the attack animation with the d-pad. For example, I mash the down button during rock slide, hold up/right during flamethrower, etc. If i get it just right, it's supposed to give me a crit. It doesn't work, of course, but i do it every time now out of habit.

Also, all of my boxes are neatly arranged. I have three boxes arranged by usage with three rows of pokemon in each one, followed by an empty row, and a row for ubers. I also have a storage box. If I ever want to raise a new pokemon, I remove one from one of the existing rows to make room for it and put the removed pokemon in storage. Also, all my rows are as color and type coordinated as i can get them. You might think I have OCD or something, but I don't. Weird! It does bother me a bit that I don't have enough ubers to fill out all three bottom rows, though.

I listen to hip-hop songs when I play pokemon(I like to "move with the music when I play").

I also rapidly press the A button when I'm catching a pokemon(somehow it makes the pokemon easier to hatch >_< or I'm just imagining it).

I never finish rearranging my boxes(I'm fickle...)

I also make the action of throwing a pokeball when a battle starts and your in-game trainer releases the pokemon.

I do the Pokeball thing too, because back in RBY somebody told me that if you press A while trying to catch a Pokemon it would improve your chances of catching it. I doubt that was ever true but it became a habit.

I have a habit of chewing on the end of my stylus when I'm not actively using it (good thing the DS comes with two and I have the Dialga stylus as backup!), and this isn't as applicable in D/P, but I press B while walking even if I know I can't run. I also like to nickname my Pokemon, so after I catch something, I tend to agonize anywhere from a few seconds to half an hour over what to name it. I also organize all my boxes by type, give them a corresponding wallpaper, and then from highest level to lowest level.

I was told that the pressing A would kill my chances, and pressing B would improve them. But you have to press B the moment the poke ball opens to suck the pokemon in.

Later, I decided that if I pressed B more than three times in a battle, and failed to catch the pokemon every time, not pressing anything on the next try would guarantee the capture. It's never worked, but I still do it.

I sometimes press left on the pad when my opponent is losing HP. The idea is to make them lose more. It doesn't work, of course.

Whenever I played any video game I always had to talk to every character and read every sign, book case, etc. no matter how insignificant I knew it was.

This is even if I've already played through the game.

When I'm playing my DS and not using my stylus, I move my stylus in and out, in and out, in and out of the slot.

I've got this thing lately where I'll be hatching eggs while watching level 9s kill each other on ssbm... I was never that much of a TV person and I usually can't think of anything else to do!
